- Subhash Ghai never worked with Amitabh Bachchan on a movie project. The reason is that the two had creative differences while shooting for a movie called Devaa in 1987. After the rift on the sets of that under production movie, Subhash Ghai and Amitabh Bachchan never worked again with each other. In this video we mention what transpired on the sets of the movie Devaa between Subhash Ghai and Amitabh Bachchan that led to the eventual rift between the two.

When you are young you do all these mistakes. It is a loss on both sides. When you become old you look back in the past and realize it was not worth it. I respect both. They are both equally talented.

It's reported in screen magazine that the costume of Devaa was used by Amitabha in the film Khudagava .So Subhash Ghai dropped the idea of making Devaa with any other actor.
When actor gets payment from producer,for his work,he must not show his own attitude. Producer has to look after so many things regarding production of film.

I and my siblings have watched Karma the movie uncountable times in our childhood 💖💖😍one of the best movies of 80's
Devaa's Music was to be given by L-P. But the film got shelved and L-P were given Ram Lakhan, which was originally given to RD Burman. Ghai did not even care to inform RDB that he is being replaced. This insult gave a deep wound to RDB. He could never get over it.
The result is here for subash ghai he is also kicked out from the industry now😂😂😊

Infact Tabassum wanted to interview him for her Phool khile hain Gulshan Gulshan....but he never gave any appointment. Finally she caught him in one of the sets of his film during a break.
Such was his ego and obstinacy.
But time is a great leveller....it brought to his knees...and on the road of bankruptcy.
When ABCL bombed, it was only the TV medium that saved his face.
And now he sells from toilet cleaner to bikes all the things on TV 😀😀😀😀
He said he didn't want to appear on TV and now he appears on every other advts.

Not only this, but Amitabh always demanded respect from everyone, if he doesn't get it then he becomes upset. Many actors got denied to do films after getting signed with him. He always held his head high with arrogance, always adamant and he always had to be heard. This here is just one occasion of his arrogance.

EGO is a very very bad word when it comes to relationships. I too had it in plenty during my youth days and maybe that is why I never had a lot of friends. Put in simple words, it's ideological differences between two people. In movies it's called 'creative differences'. 😀
Not only in 80s but he was a very successful director in 90s as well with movies like khalnayak, pardes & taal. Only after 2000s his movies were not much successful.
In last 21 years he only gave duds.....

What a colossal loss for us! I still remember the turbaned AB "Devaa" pics that were published in the newspapers, in 1988 or '89, if I'm not wrong. Finally, it was the clash of the Titans, in fact, their titanic egos, that killed the magnificent dream. Thank you very much for giving us the story behind it in your inimitable style. If possible, please make one on the Kishore Kumar-AB clash in the '80s. Have heard multiple stories, but don't know what was the real reason behind their falling out.

I also keen interested to know that Amitabh didn't agree to guest appearance in Kishore's show and then Kishore stopped singing fo Amitabh. Later on they patch up.
@@RAMESH9211G amitabh refused to give his guest appearance in kishore kumar directorial movie mamta ki chhaon mein (1981) ,so kishore da stopped working for him for 5 years, but it was amitabh's fault as kishore kumar made him star by singing his songs in his power voice & amitabh acted very mean & selfish for kishore da .

Creative differences with Suvash Ghai. My God. Means a lot. Look at his films. In all if it he expressed his beautiful thoughts with genius ideas. Every time two or three sons of one honest policeman becomes a police, a criminal and bla bla. Sounds Original. I attempted only Yaden once. Couldn't finish it. Had to quit when Hritik suddenly started swimming in crocodile infested river tying the boat with his body. Couldn't figure out why he couldn't stay on the boat and try paddle it out of the water by is hand.
Now got the reason. Creative difference.

Subash sahab was very much right. Amitabh is simply actor to act on subject,not to indulge in changing the script. Every actor has to work under the guidance of Directors/producers

It is a request if you could make a video/videos based on the rivalry between Amitabh Bachchan and Raj Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Naseeruddin Shah. There are videos available on TH-cam where Naseeruddin Shah could be seen criticizing Amitabh Bachchan's works, but not the other way round. Also, there are anecdotes about Raj Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan, but the facts cannot be ascertained. It would be kind of you if you can dispel rumors and myths from such half-truths.

Just look at what happened to the once-invincible Kaka (Rajesh Khanna). He left the limelight almost as quickly as he captured it (sad to say).
Especially considering the fact that he, himself, had claimed that his approach to acting was a combination of what Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand, Raj Kapoor & Shammi Kapoor used to do in their prime.

There was no mistake done by Subhash ghai...he was the Director of movie...Captain of ship ...and Amitabh was working under his direction...Also by 1987 Amitabh was almost finished ...1987 was the Year in which not a single movie of Amitabh was released...Films made by Manmohan Desai or Prakash Mehra were flopping ....the only reasonable success Amitabh had was in the previous year 1986... Aakhri Raasta...a remake of South Indian...it was in Amitabh's own interest to have put the ego aside and gone on to meet Ghai in his room..Ghai continued to make hit films after that...whereas Amitabh continued going down and eventually lost to new comers of that time.

RAhul..............the reason behind DEVA shelving was: S. Ghai had announced the film without informing AB, with big fanfare. Next day when AB heard that news, he made a public announcement that he has NOT signed any movie project with S.Ghai. It was a big embarrassment to SG. Since he was such a big director he thought that AB would be very happy and excited. Then quickly he mended the situation by formally signing by story sitting etc. But the ego insult was so big that SG shelved the film without informing AB. This is revenge story.

As per the custom, a hero should go to director no matter how big superstar he is. A director makes the hero not hero makes the director.
That's why during that period and today also Big B is known 1 man industry this title was given to him by distributors, producers and directors what ever the story, if Bachchan in the movie 100% superhit... Mahanayak charismatic person on the screen...
First of all it was wrong on the part of AB to send his assistant to call upon a director to come to him. SG was left with no other option to respond that way. On sets director is the boss no mater how big an actor you are.

I believe there was a ‘some what’ similar situation on the sets of another Amitabh Bachchan film where Big B felt disrespected by Kadar Khan purely because the ladder refused to call Amitabh as “sir” in real life. Eventually, amitabh had kadar khan thrown out from the film. I never was able to find out what film was being made when this happened, but my guess would be that it happened during the making of Khuda Gawah.
That's the version of KD, I'm not saying he's lying but we should always get both versions when there is a rift and we are trying to onow what happened.When only one person speaks we might jump on the wrong conclusions based on his testimony.

When he got injured on the set of Coolie there were workers who went to talk to him while he lay on the ground. He never talked about how Rajesh Khanna ignored him when he was not well known and went to fetch his wife after work on the set of a film.
I got a first hand account on the difference between Rajesh and Prem Chopra, as a friend worked on the sets of the film souten, and he told us that Rajesh Kaka was super arrogant, but Prem sahab was very affable.

Same happened with kader khan because of kader khan dialogues amitabh became a big star then amitabh wanted kader khan to call him sir ji after 1985 amitabh carrier came down for 15 years he was struggling to get a big movie in 2000 he requested for roll in muhabbatin he was begging and work under srk
Amitabh Bachchan was senior actor in show biz and was little elder to him so it's no wrong to call him in his room... And I don't think he must have done intentionally...
