To think that this Day guy is a Cyber Security Professional and not a journalist beats me. He asks such intelligent and well directed questions that brings out the most value in his guests. And for Malik? There is fire in his bones😊. Kudos guys! You both killed this i😀
Hey many people are sleeping on coding, I was watching the Savage Scientist and other coding channels but im glad to see more brothers and sisters interested in cyber security.
Thanks general, man i appreciate it i been around for a minute on youtube and im focusing on dev sec ops (the application pentesting part of cyber). Big shout out to @cyberwox many people dont have the grind to make it from cashier to content engineer thats a power move.
Malik the coolest bro!🔥Hit me up next time you’re in London! 😎 Fave episode so far, man came with the props🤣 Amen bro, privileged to be following this journey 🙏🏾
Enjoy this series! I can’t believed that I’m just seeing specific video now as I’ve been following both of your channels, appreciate the insight & enjoyed the conversation!👌
Great interview 💯 Actionable advice, motivating backstory, insight from both of y'all. Couldn't ask for more. And thank you for linking some of the references discussed. Had to watch this one twice 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wow 🎉. Malik you are on top of your game. The knowledge that you have is unbelievable.😊 Love the energy too. That is what you call a double threat LOL.
We were on a family trip in the Destin, Florida, area when the Colonial Pipeline got hacked from a phishing email. We were concerned about whether or not we had enough gas to make it home. People were hoarding up gas, putting gas into unapproved containers such as garbage bags, plastic bins, and other random stuff. Some vehicles burned down. All from an email containing a malicious link to a bikini calendar that got clicked on.
Hey Ash! Hope all is well. 21? You just hopped out the womb. You have plenty of time to "make it" Now, what you do with the years is what matters. Some folks make career changes when they are 30 or even 40, they have less time per se compared to you. If I was you, I will define what career role I aspire to be in, then I would make progress towards said role with "tangible" tasks. For example, if I want to be a Blue Teamer, I will consult with professionals in social groups (Like Day's Discord), take their counsel, pursue certifications or complimentary training, build a portfolio, pursue college (if that is within your budget), and make myself interview ready to compete in the market. I believe a lot of twenty-somthings like you and I lack is proper guidance. We were given a script in HS to just "pursue college" and find a job. That is such a vague plan. What about finance, what about company culture, what about in-demand skills, what about student loans? Now it is on us to do the research ourselves. We must educate ourselves because nobody else will. Are you ready to labor and sacrifice, Ash? I you willing to study and grind for that position you want? Yes, you still have time but WHAT are you going to do with the years is what MATTERS. Good luck with your career.
