2:25 Business jets are a very efficient means of travel. Between being able to go exactly when its most convenient for you and being able to go to smaller airports that are closer to your destination, you can save a ton of time; and of course the environment _in_ the plane is much more conducive to meeting in flight or at least arriving refreshed and ready to go. Large companies (GM for example) come out ahead using them because saving 4 hours time for 3 C-suite guys actually costs less than the expense for the plane (whether they are overpaid to begin with is another story - as long as they ARE paying them that during sitting time its a loss). Thats why there is a private jet market to begin with. But it has to be a big company making lots of money _first_ . Canoo wasnt in that position yet!
I purchased spwr ,several other over the years solar stock and learned a lesson I've lost less than 7-k total in the stock over the years . And I have learned a lesson . That is a shame it was the most appealing electric vehicle I wanted to use as a camper van I drove by there plant in Oklahoma when I came back from Arizona in May
😢I was emailing with them last year about the van variant and was really excited. This is utterly heartbreaking. It seems, as is the case a lot with start ups, that the CEO was a grifter. MBAs at work for you… lol
Demand was not the problem; they had plenty of pre-orders: a company doesn’t need a majority of people to buy their product just a sufficient number. Production is their problem.
... would be an excellent way for Tesla to expand their model line-up (maybe just wishful thinking - but what would be a faster way to get a van, small pickup, commercial delivery vehicles and a futuristic sports sedan concept that makes a Model 3 look like a VW Beetle - all designed with the 2nd and 3rd owners in mind with regards to maintenance and upgradability) along with all the robotic assembly equipment and pre-orders and potential government contracts) Anyway - I can't see them going away - but that's the car business if they do. Incidentally, the exclusive contract for the private jet service was made between Tony Aquilas family jet leasing company and GOEV while the stock was still riding high, and Aquila wasn't CEO yet. Should he fly coach instead? Probably - especially when you consider the optics now ...
What a shame, this modular design should have been a winner. Ford, VW or GM should buy them and start churning these out. It is a shame to let all this innovation go to waste. I remember the old VW van you could get in Europe, They did the camper, a single cab pickup and a double cab pickup all on the same chassis.
Canoo was a joke from day one. Their business model was ridiculous. You weren’t even allowed to own one. Just lease. Ridiculous Frustrating to see how much money was wasted on this project that was do9med from the beginning.

It takes allot of cash to bring a automotive vehicle to market. Lots of regulation and costly materials and labor .
I guess the debt is just to big for someone to aquire . Maybe someone can by the plans and specifications which would be the cheapest way to bring the product back .
Interesting comments the day before the Q2 results. Crazy amounts of institutional investment this week. Geode Increases its Position in Canoo by 150% in Q2, Adds 800,000+ Shares..
I loved it too. Thought it would make a great base to build emergency service vehicles on. Hope for a buyout or a copycat now or it's just a scam to get rich selling short and now buying cheap and ride it up😊
I hate that it looked like a really cool vehicle
There is a lesson in punctuation here.
Wow so sad. I just found out about Canoo. They seemed like a very nice company for the EV industry.
Good looking car, maybe Tesla can adopt some of the features. I sure the Cybertruck can be like the Canoo
I purchased spwr ,several other over the years solar stock and learned a lesson I've lost less than 7-k total in the stock over the years .
And I have learned a lesson . Do not invest money in anything I know nothing about .
So I'll stick to firearms stuff and motorcycle stuff . I'm good at that . Stocks not so much . And forget the stock market .
I just want them to make this truck/van. As a VW T3/Toyota Previa lover, the van and the truck are the closest thing to a Doka/Vanagon or Previa we have seen since. Please hang in there.
Damn shame, those are some great designs.
Wow! They tested 34,000 miles!
Cheers Sam mate
Never heard of them.
I would have loved to buy one of these as they're the closest to what is ideal for my usage case. What a pity, maybe someone buys the designs and IP etc. and brings them to market!!!!
That is a shame it was the most appealing electric vehicle I wanted to use as a camper van I drove by there plant in Oklahoma when I came back from Arizona in May
Sad, such an interesting concept!
$1.70 per share? Buy, buy, buy. Or is it bye, bye, bye?
A nickle.. that's my offer
$1,50 as I write.
😢I was emailing with them last year about the van variant and was really excited. This is utterly heartbreaking. It seems, as is the case a lot with start ups, that the CEO was a grifter. MBAs at work for you… lol
Tesla should buy it just for that truck
Apple $APPL should buy Canoo
Shame, great design and concept, wish Tesla brought them out and build them as a van / Ute. Great vehicle, crappy management
the majority of people do not want an EV, so I am not chocked.
Demand was not the problem; they had plenty of pre-orders: a company doesn’t need a majority of people to buy their product just a sufficient number. Production is their problem.
Btw. If you hate EVs, why are you here?
... would be an excellent way for Tesla to expand their model line-up (maybe just wishful thinking - but what would be a faster way to get a van, small pickup, commercial delivery vehicles and a futuristic sports sedan concept that makes a Model 3 look like a VW Beetle - all designed with the 2nd and 3rd owners in mind with regards to maintenance and upgradability) along with all the robotic assembly equipment and pre-orders and potential government contracts) Anyway - I can't see them going away - but that's the car business if they do. Incidentally, the exclusive contract for the private jet service was made between Tony Aquilas family jet leasing company and GOEV while the stock was still riding high, and Aquila wasn't CEO yet. Should he fly coach instead? Probably - especially when you consider the optics now ...
What a shame, l Also had a lot of hope for this company , if this car came to the Australian market I would buy one.
I hope Aptera makes it.
Next
Canoe was never going to make it I hope after I mix it because I've been watching them for a long time but I'm still not an investor in it
Aptera has spent less in their entire development process than Canoo lost just this year.
Also, they remain SPACless.
What a shame, this modular design should have been a winner. Ford, VW or GM should buy them and start churning these out. It is a shame to let all this innovation go to waste. I remember the old VW van you could get in Europe, They did the camper, a single cab pickup and a double cab pickup all on the same chassis.
I was rooting for canoo. I know its weird, but i love the look of it. Looks like it should be driving on Mars!
It looks like a fun design but it's a shame it will never exist. Same with Aptera.
Cool maybe the new owner will higher actually good designs and send models that people wnt....😮😮😮
Love the look and concept of those cars, pity
If I can't reach the windscreen with my hand while seated, i wouldn't buy.
First the Xbus goes under now this. I really wanted one of those Xbus campers
Canoo was a joke from day one. Their business model was ridiculous. You weren’t even allowed to own one. Just lease. Ridiculous
Frustrating to see how much money was wasted on this project that was do9med from the beginning.
You missed “Canoo going down the loo 🚽 “joke 😂
lol never even heard of them.
Without knowing nothing about the company. Rather than focusing on the base platform and creating 1 or 2 initial variants. They just continued to build prototypes and not take anything to the market. How could they burn through so much money. Something is a bit off.
What going on with all those Cybertruck reservations?
Private Jets only make sense when the Ceo must travel almost every day with other company personal and have an office in the air while discussing business. I highly doubt this was the case. William Buffet owns 6.5% share in a private jet that he uses when he needs a jet. Do we think the Canoe Ceo needed more access and more privacy than Buffet?
With Zoom, Who The Frunk needs to GO? Anywhere?
