@@FrontiersInCFD Yes sir you have used C rate I know.....but if my query is if we want to simulate charging and discharging, then what do we need to do in that case?
pleas can you explain how get the value of heat generation or the the value if heat transfer , h know the P=i.v , BUT SEEM THAT YOU DIDNT USE ONLY THIS EQUATION.
sorry, I explained myself poorly, I simulated a cell by setting the heat generation with forced convection, recreating the real conditions, I obtained a surface temperature of the cell higher than in reality: in reality I obtained 35 C° while in the simulation 60 C°, therefore I asked myself is it correct to simulate the cell in this way?
Sir , you done simulation for smaller time step ,but when I did at 5c, 720 sec , at 600 sec there is spike in temperature, itried to change mesh size and timestep =0.5 , still problem , can you tell me , where I am doing wrong,I have got all the solution till 4c
@@FrontiersInCFD If we do not give a gap then the length of the battery pack will be too much. If the width is so wide then how can it be made to work?
Received as simulation requirement however this was used as one of the reference paper. Numerical and experimental investigation of thermal performance of lithium ion battery with hybrid cooling system under dryout condition
How to incorporate the condition of charging and discharging in this? Or we need to use some other method or model?
No just heat generation per unit volume is specified based on c rate
@@FrontiersInCFD which model can we use for charging and discharging simulations??
@@emrysdruid143i have use c rate

Sir you haven't selected the polarity of each cell i mean where is positive/negative terminal?
I haven't used MSMD model this is just CFD thermal Analysis.

???
Took heat generatiom per unit volume from reference paper
please doctor, can you answer me
you can use bernardi equation for that. you may find this equation in internet and many research paper use this equation
@@q.t.v took from reference paper
If I set up the heat fluxe in this way, can I obtein the maximum temperature of the cells?
You can get in result section you have to select domain as cell

Checl the time step size you have use

Take smaller time step size of 0.005
can i design 4P23S battery pack in Ansys
Yes it can be done
@@FrontiersInCFD ooh nice..for thermal analysis is it required to give the space between each battery?
For effecrive heat transfer it is required

These gaps are in ""mm""
Brother can you solve this tutorial using PCM material. please brother
Will try
