I remember seeing this house before awhile ago in someone elses video. I remember the way to get downstairs in the second house thru the floor. Definitely unique. It wasn't for sale then but it's a really nice place

I don't think the 塗り壁 means painted walls but rather plaster (漆喰 or 珪藻土). Great to have a house that both breathes and can absorb some humidity unlike the plastic ones that are so common.

I was wondering if I was able to do this when I buy a house in Japan on a Tourist Visa.
Like If it's a spacious house, rent one part of the house to a Tenant while I'm away, and when I come back to Japan, I can stay in the other half of my house. At least there's someone there to keep an eye on it.

    Very interesting.
The kitchen though could have been a feature in this otherwise spacious house.
I’m not surprised at the selling price. They have used the Canadian imported lumber pretty well. The brick exterior looks everything but Japanese 😊
One of those rare 4⭐️ homes.
    Thanks Shu.

Years ago, during an Alberta recession, I worked at a factory making roofing and flooring trusses. Used hundreds of 2X4 and 2X6 lumber pieces every day and they were all from the worst graded lumber, full of knots and sap pockets, warped and twisting. One day we received a lumber shipment by mistake which was supposed to be going to Japan. That wood was beautiful! Perfectly straight, no knots, no warping or twisting, smooth straight grain, almost pure white. Everyone came over to look at this pile of perfect wood. And we all took a piece home so we could show other people what they were using to build houses in Japan.

That Camera guy must be The Slender Man. He just slid down the stairs and passed Shu without bumping nothing!

Love the inside but hate the outside but then I am in Iraq so maybe I aren’t the best judge.
