  • Franciscan are the only inhabitants of the tiny Croatian island of Kosljun. They no longer see saving souls as their main task - instead they tend to their monastery and its gardens.

Although the live like monks, they are Friars. Friars are not monks and monks are not Friars.

Not monks. Friars. They live in a friary not a monastery.

These Friars (Friars are not monks), live more like Cistercians than itinerant Franciscans. Are the OFM Conv?

Mogli su barem napisati imena ispravno, kad ih već ne znaju izgovoriti.
You could have at least written the names correctly, since you are obviously not able to pronounce them correctly.

Croatians are often mixed with Italians. There's a rich bilingual community in Croatia as well as Slovenia

LordJim Because he is educated. Because the center of the Catholic faith is located in the Italian geographical area. Because many Croatian priests completed part of their education in the Vatican. Are you surprised? Why does Bosnian mullah speak Arabic? Did you have something else in mind? There are no Italian priests in Croatia. Only Croats ...

@@Mari-zr1vl A very easily disputed claim. Priests are like military officers - they often change places of service.

Exactly, they never pronounce Croatian names correctly, or for that matter any non-German name (well, except Germanic). Although I don't have problems when it comes to pronouncing foreign names (at least European), I do understand most people do. So my comment wasn't about complaining negatively, but about their lack of effort when it comes to writing non-German names. When I write German name "Müller" I write it as "Müller", not "Muller", even though I don't have "ü" in my keyboard setup.
