This is of course my personal opinion, but I think that the Royal guard style completely breaks the interest of playing for Dante. To be able to block any type of damage seems to me to be too strong an opportunity. Although in the old version 3 of DMC, it looked good as a separate style for beginner players who are just starting to master the game.

I totally see what you mean. For me I just think is a lotta fun to use RG, I like Parry and Counter mechanics in games.

@Влад Андреев Yeah, i agree. When you learn how to perfect guard every enemy it can get boring, that's why i really like the enemy variety in DMC games, you can always be creating challenges for you to conquer.

Ah yes, it is indeed powerful. But isn't that what makes Dante cool? To look stylish as he hacks, slashes and combos someone then also has the ability to brush off any incoming enemy attacks, no matter how powerful it might be? Then mocks them afterwards with his taunts?
Although, yeah. It sure is overpowered.

Serious question. Is this all tool assisted or can you physically parry that rapidly in game? I’m trying to wrap my head around how it’s possible to know all the frame data & timing to perfect parry everything.

It's not TAS. You can parry all his moves if you get the time with no problem, it becomes basically a rhythm game. I don't get all perfect guards either, you can see my guard breaks at some point.

I have 1 Cavaliere Angelo fight as Vergil focused on Parry "Vergil bullying Cavaliere Angelo" and 1 with the same tittle but as Dante. This is the only fight that i really like to use parry, because it is a satisfying parry.

Wait for royal guard do you just have to type circle or do you have to hold it cause at one point at 3:48 he seems like he's just holding the button for royal guard I always feel like I'm fucking it up cause I have to time it right and repedeatly press the button

You can do both. If you perfect block, you gain DT and a lot o RG gauge. If you hold you lose DT and don't gain too much RG gauge. If run out of DT gauge and don't do a perfect block your guard will break

Nope, you need to time it or you'll get hit or do just a normal block losing your DT gauge
