Those springs hold a ton of energy. It's a good idea to see what your local shop/tire shop/whatever will charge do swap out the strut/etc. I got one of the plate-style (two parallel plates shaped like a U that compress the spring) compressor as I thought all the clamp/claw style were too dang dangerous...

This is just a great video. It will help immensely when doing this job myself. Thank you. Did you notice any change, either for initial day or so, or for longer, your ride hight (taller ride)? I have never done this before but have read about others experiencing it and I want to be informed about it or do something proper to account for it.

I see you used Red Thread Locker, but that wasnt high temp red, was it? Making sure to not use the that as it would be difficult removing later. Can/should I use blue or is there diff thread locker for this service?

I just took off the bushings/lollipop from the Front Lower Control Arm. I have not put the replacement bushing/lollipop on just yet as I am thinking to replace Struts just like you did. I have same B4 and Mount as you (keeping things stock OE/OEM). Is there any issue having bushing/lollipop off, then replacing struts, then installing new bushing/lollipop in this order? (alignment to follow off course)
