- Explore the compelling story of the German Navy from its early years to its dramatic role in the global conflicts of the 20th century. Beginning with modest roots in the 1920s, the navy grew into a formidable force under Hitler's expansive vision, engaging Allied powers across all seven seas.
By the end of the Second World War, overwhelming Allied superiority led to its capitulation, with over 120,000 German seamen-30,000 of them submariners-losing their lives. Included in those numbers were a small but dedicated group of photo-journalists who captured much of the footage featured in this film.

A pity the Jutland didn’t get to the
level of the Falklands December 1914
where the Teutonic so-called dreadnoughts went exploring the bottom
Of the South Atlantic.

This is about 30 years old. No a/i then. Errors are simply human errors :-) “Seafarring” made me snigger..
Informative, incredible, truthful introduction documentary about German naval forces from 1914 to 1945. Adolf Hitler was much more honest than Winston Churchill towards French ( French naval fleets) during WW2.
@@mohammedsaysrashid3587’dolf didn’t
have means to cross the Mediterranean except by wading through it &
probably drowning before reaching NAfrica.
