    I think everyone is looking for that brush that can just blend the edges with a few strokes and your done. It takes time to build that speed and eye coordination.

    Something I struggle with is producing soft believable forms like on the nose and eyelids, I feel like my stuffs way too harsh, I thought it'd be simply using a softer edged brush but of course you can make sharp lines with one small enough or too muddy if its too big. I really hope to make my paintings a bit more painterly looking rather than clean digital looking stuff. Really need to remember my traditional roots and thanks for posting stuff, helps me on my journey!

    Soooo I just wanna say thanks. Thank you for all of your videos. I used to draw a lot but college (chose a different path than art which my friends weren't happy about) and recently for some reason ive been wanting to get back into it however my style back in the day was anime and cell shading. So not only are your videos a great refresher, but I'm also learning a lot of stuff as well. I'll probably sit through all of your videos, maybe even several times. Thanks!

    He's very skilled, so of course, to him it's easy. Shading/blending takes time to learn, don't think knowing someone's brush settings will magically make you better at it. It takes years to really get a technique down.

      When I went to art school, digital art was only really being developed, so it was still all the traditional skills. I started with Photoshop 4 that only had 1 level of undo, if you can imagine, so it wasn't really a priority to learn. Deciding to learn digital so many years later, I found it a really steep learning curve, it really is learning a whole new medium that is both far more restrictive but far more forgiving. I was struggling. Then I stumbled onto you from one of your DA followers and you made everything make sense. You explained to me how to paint digitally instead of just coloring and I've been working away with all this new understanding. Again, thank you.

      @Here693 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ahmed Aldoori well, it's weird but slowly i can see my colours being better thats for sure.
      Now that i saw the video, i always thought that the "pros" use the normal pick a color and blend with lower opacity method is this the new standard?, can you make a video in the future using it on a simple painting as example cause i read about the mix brush but i never got to see people using it on a normal painting.
      One more thing i would love to see you streaming but im from spain so earlier the stream the better i guess.

    This is probably a very stupid question, but as Ahmed was showing how to blend, he was easily swapping to the magic wand and back. Is that a preset you can setup on a tablet/the pen? and if so, how do you set that up? Or was he just pressing keys on the keyboard super fast? Sorry for the silly question! I'm fairly new to photoshop :)

    THANKS for this! I never really got a chance to delve into this sort of digital painting because I found the typical eyedropping tedious and somewhat distracting. Never really touched the mixerbrush. This looks sooo much more fluid. I also love that you demoed the specific brushes (I don't really see that around).
    I just bought your brushes, but it would be cool if you had them as tool presets (.tpl). That way we could get the default settings you tend to use most often each time.
    Thanks again. I do get quite a lot out of your videos, keep it up!
