This is the type of guy who if you do something to piss him off he won't tell you, but then ten years later he comes out of nowhere and ruins your life in the most unexpected way possible. In reality though this was awesome, I fully admit that I'm not capable of pulling something like this off.
This is so under rated. The amount of patience and persistence necessary to pull this off is much harder than people realize. Excellent job man. I would add, if i may, that you dress it up more in the end so that people know you were pranking them. The amount of effort you put towards the prank deserves to be fully recognized.
I had a history teacher who would purposefully mispronounce Napoleon Bonaparte: he'd say it Bonapairt, he purposely wanted to see if students would be bold/brave enough to correct an adult who has been teaching for a long time. Anyone who would do it would get extra credit (which basically meant getting an A in the class). In his 25 years of teaching only 2 kids ever corrected him... :DDD

He was an excellent instructor, but he's getting old, plus he has a lot of alternate languages in his head that probably got in the way while he was teaching. He lived in and taught English in many countries including Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Russia, Mexico, Chile, Spain, Argentina, and Venezuela at some point in his career. That kind of accumulated knowledge is bound to confuse anyone at some point.
This would be something that I would try, I would do like a German accent, but with my luck there would be a German in the class who would try to speak German to me.
Inside I took some French in high school or college depending where you're from, I was considering taking some more classes at college/university, but I may take German instead since that's where my family comes from ancestrally.

I always wanted to mess with people sometime in the future by putting on an accent and maintaining it for practically a year at best, and then just drop in a regular voice at random intervals, so that way there'd be some people that're like "He's faking that accent", and then there would be people that argue that the accent is my real voice, so there'd be a whole conspiracy of shi- What the heck am I doing with my life?
I did basically the same thing. I worked on a good German accent, it confused a lot of people because me being Polynesian and having some German accent weirded people out. When I started my English 102 class I had a back story that my father was in the military and was stationed in Germany and I just made a story from there. Half way through the semester it just got tiring for me so I switched to my normal American accent. My professor thought the class helped me improve my English so that was the reason I lost my accent. lol
