Thank you guys for tuning in to another adventure of ours! We are taking a Sunset Dinner Cruise in the VIP Dome Cart on the Royal Gorge Route Railroad located in Canon City, CO. Although we captured a lot of great views and moments, you just have to be here to enjoy this wonderful experience. We would rate this experience a 10/10. The food was good but it wasn’t the best food we ever had. Although VIP is pricey, we wouldn’t chose any other option. They do have the same experience but in a regular dining area not the dome carts and its cheaper. Dinner on a train lasted about 3 hours and once you are done the gift shop is waiting for you! Go to the inappropriate things side of the store, thank us later. Ticket 1 person (First Class Dinner-Vista Dome Private Table): $250.00 Beer Flight : $14.00 Wine Flight: $32.00 TIPS: Be there an hour before it boards Onboard Bar and additional appetizers/ desserts We stayed at Hampton Inn before we headed back to Denver : 120 a night (has a pool and hot tub) Ladies (wearing heels is unnecessary) There is pork in the side salad, please ask for no pork if needed. How much sunlight did you have before it started to get dark on the ride?
About 2 hrs before it got dark. I’d suggest going in the summer for longer sunlight .
