DigitalSlicer basically my story but it was 2010 I was 5 and browsing newgrounds in late December I looked up Mario and it was the top result, when I got into kindergarten the next year I told everybody about this and the earthbound ost (I was made fun of in elementary for being a nerd) but the people who listened to my requests said they enjoyed the songs I showed them, glad to see someone else with an immense amount of nostalgia for this video

You can actually hear him breathing! It’s very slight because as another commenter says, these parts are spliced/edited for timing and to remove excessive noises like the deep breaths he probably had to take (virtually all music is edited in this way).

The first time I've ever listened to this song (only the beginning part) was in one of the videos by Fleskhjerta in 2008 on TH-cam. I was 10. I ended up watching this animation and listening to this song at the same time. It was so fantastic! Ooooh yeah! I get to know Newgrounds in 2008. Looking at any Mario fan animations I want to watch, like Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom and Super Mario Bros Z. In 2013, I didn't watch Newgrounds for so long until I rediscovered the same website seven years later. These were my old Internet times back in the late 2000s. TH-cam and Newgrounds. When I look back at this animation again years later, it brings a smile to my face but almost a bit sad because I really miss my old Internet days back then. Time flies. This song and this animation has always been in my head for years. I wish I want to go back to my old Internet days.

I watched this in 2009 (I was 7 at the time) after sneaking onto my parents old ass windows xp desktop. This was a time when shit like Window 7 was an os for rich first class people. Nowadays, everyone got Windows 10 for free.

Such a throw back. I remember finding this on Newgrounds back in 08, and it's been seared into my mind ever since. I always find myself singing it in my head an random moments, so I had to come back and give it a listen, for old times sake.
This song/video has a very special place in my heart. I remember listening to this when I was around 11 and falling in love with it. I've downloaded it to every MP3 and music player I've owned since and have probably heard it over 400 times. Nostalgia to the max.

I get to know Newgrounds in 2008. Looking at any Mario fan animations I want to watch, like Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom and Super Mario Bros Z.
In 2013, I didn't watch Newgrounds for so long until I rediscovered the same website seven years later.
These were my old Internet times back in the late 2000s. TH-cam and Newgrounds. When I look back at this animation again years later, it brings a smile to my face but almost a bit sad because I really miss my old Internet days back then. Time flies.
