One of the aspects that sets you apart from others is that you provide the basis of your opinion. Like on this one you mentioned that the bathrooms were fine and there weren't any issues with things they were just dated. In a manner by of speaking you give us your opinion yet enough information for us to come to our own conclusions. I really appreciate that. Take care.
Thanks Matt. I pay my own way so I can just be unbiased in what I say. I try to show all the things that I look for in a resort/hotel from the start till the end. I put everything out there, like you said, so ultimately the viewer can make their own mind up. Every traveller is different with their needs, and I get that. So hopefully I put enough info to help them out. Be safe and take care out there.
awesome Rob, very good review. I have never heard of that place, I would not mind giving either of those resorts a go. Food looked delicious at the first place. Food for thought for next time !
I'de been here long time ago 1987 -1988 and the rooms/furnitures and the pool area still looks the same? Hope to visit this place again in the near future.
Yoooo cool finding your channel. I'm a foreigner too stuck in Cebu for 2 months already.. I'm living pretty near you near Ayala mall. May I ask how do you get food everyday? We have been using foodpanda and grab food but the service is pretty bad. What about food and water? To be honest I'm afraid to even leave the house hahaha.
Yeah it's dragging out! I have actually been making vlogs of be stranded for the last couple of months th-cam.com/play/PLl8Aa_oQ-KBcPs0eNh7H5WWE-kJ_PnJq3.html - I do show how I eat and basically how I'm surviving. But to answer your question. Luckily where I am I do have a few options (other than grab). The hotel has its own restaurant (although now a limited menu). I have a few restaurants that are open within walking distance (I've shown in my vlogs). There's also some fast food places in Parkmall. I also have a SM supermarket in Parkmall and a 7/11. Do you have any places in Ayala that are open? Hope you are keeping safe.
I went to Badian island in 2018 after watching your first review of the place. I stayed in the junior suite and I know exactly what you mean about it being dated. Still it was very enjoyable. The pool area is really nice and the WiFi was almost certainly the best WiFi I've seen anywhere in the Philippines. You out of lockdown now or did you film that before?
I filmed it back in Feb. I still think the place is beautiful, just as I've been there before and I had a better time then. I've been stuck in Mandaue City for the last couple of months, by the way things are going I've be here (Mandaue) till at least June. Anyhow I'll do my weekly lockdown update blog next week.
I haven't done it that way for years , but as a ball park figure I'd say with a taxi that you arrange directly with you would be looking between 3000 -4000 php
Timothy Cook You can rent a Grab car. Grab is an app-based transport network just like Uber. Grab offers GrabRent service in Cebu. Just download the app prior to your arrival or upon your arrival in Cebu.
Met my wife for the first time there in 2013 and loved it, very romantic and relaxing, the staff were wonderful.
It's nice to attach stories to places like that! You'll never forget it!
My wife and I were there in 2018, and your description is spot on!

I do think they need to renovate the rooms, they are a bit tired looking.

Cheers, I try to make it as informative as possible. Take care and be safe.

It looks fantastic do they have hot and cold water?
Yes they do.
Are the provision for private car park before crossing over to the resort ?
It didn't look like it. Maybe speak to the resort directly, they may have something they can do.
Can you swim in the beach? :)
Yeah they have places you can swim
Can you tell me what it will cost to arrange a private car to this place from Cebu City?
I haven't done it that way for years , but as a ball park figure I'd say with a taxi that you arrange directly with you would be looking between 3000 -4000 php
When things are better here, I can ask a taxi to give you a more exact figure.

Yes I did a video review of that resort earlier this year. It's in my channel.
