I like traveling like this alone, because nobody else wants to wait 3 hours with me hoping for the weather to adjust a bit. The photos you got are absolutely otherworldly!

This is what the Internet was supposed to be. I can sit in Florida, USA and travel the world. Great people make some phenomenal ride- alongs that we may never see for ourselves. A simple like and sub as thanks for the trip seems too little. Safe travels and keep it up.

This brings back memories for me. Several years ago we visited England and drove to Scotland and I believe this was the road we took. We drove through Glencoe. WE visited the castle and we stayed in a place across from Locke Ness. We drove around the Locke and back down. Old Man of Storr was absolutely Beautiful. I felt like I was home. I have a little Scottish, Irish in me. We didn't go to Isle Of Skye. We were with my husband's boss and his wife at the time and he was always in a hurry. So we didn't get to go. I would have loved it all. So much I wanted to see, but didn't get to do.

My husband and I visited Portree but didn't have enough time to see the Old man of Storr. It was amazing to see it looming out of the mist, it looked mystical, almost like a cathedral. The drone shots above the clouds and the coast line were smashing.

Love Skye... was hoping you would have walked up to Camasunary beach from Elgol... I saw the old bothie I stayed at in 2009. We hiked up the coast from Elgol and had a fab night there.. seeing the b roll at 1:01:24 with Sgurr Na Stri in clag to the left of the bothie brought back memories. If or when you go back mate I highly recmmend a hike up to the beach - you will be at the foot of Blaven and won't be disappointed. As ever wonderful episode.. I don't comment much these dasy but with it being your 1st forray up there I need to say something.. a smile on your face tells me you will be back. atb Al

First time watching your channel. Loved it and you are one funny guy! I was hoping for some good light and photos of the castle in the beginning but the ending was serendipitous, you got the SHOT! My sister and I are coming to Scotland for the month of September 2023. We are Scottish and just want to take in all the countryside. We'll be doing some hiking and lots of photography. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your adventures. I know how daunting it is. You make it look easy.

I'm in stitches. Just that brief shot of the woman pushing her stroller up the mountain (to Storr) and the faint echos of a baby screaming. It's so real. I tend to romanticize travel and destinations...and completely forget about the human element. I love your attitude. Beautiful filming. Thank you for sharing!!

Thankyou so much for taking us on this journey. I really felt for you regarding the weather but I could sense that just to be there was a magical, atmospheric ,emotional, and special time. Those moments in time on this planet we call home, are just priceless. I so want to go there , and hopefully one day I will.I was thinking of driving up to the lakedistrict this weekend, but the weather forecast is not good , (rain)but who knows, the mist might clear ,and just to be there is so magical in all forms of weather .Your photo s that you did take were so good., your drone footage sublime. Thanks so much, dont ever stop, we need guys like you .

Just stumbled across this one, honestly, one of the most beautiful videos I've ever seen. I wentvto Skye for the first time recently and it has stolen my heart.
I'm planning some winter wildcamps up there, and on Rannoch moor (walking in from Bridge of Orchy). You might want to investigate that walk too, it surrounds you in mountains and the vast barren but beautiful moorland.

Hi there. I just stumpled upon your channel while watching my favourite hillwalking channels. It brings back memories of my recent four and a bit months trip to Scotland. I took up hillwalking seriously this year in spite of having visited Scotland almost every year for over twenty years. I stayed in a few different areas but my trips to Skye and Uists and of course Glencoe gave me the best hillwalking experiences. Nice to be able to revisit a few of the places through your excellent camera work. 😃
PS: One reason they were a bit hostile to your stay at the roadside in Glen Etive might be that you are not supposed to park in a passing place - hint the sign is in your video @8:16 😉
PPS: I've now subscribed to your channel 😁

Hi just also wanted to add I see your in Grange Over Sands. My family mum brothers sister in law nieces and nephews have some great memories of there. We'd go to Lake land Caravan holiday park near there and Cartmel for a holiday. With tokens collected with the Sun newspaper. We visited a place called Holker Hall. We loved it down there. If you ever go back to Skye and Portree there's a nice little place in Portree called Cafe Arriba. It's a nice place to go for some food, coffee and cake.

I totally got the Prometheus comparison. All that primordial terrain does resemble Iceland which is where a lot of the cooler location shots were filmed. Although, saying that, the archaeology scene at the beginning of the film was actually shot on The Isle of Skye!

Hi just started watching a few of your videos tonight after one showed up on my TH-cam homepage as a suggestion. Just finished watching your Skye one. Been to Skye twice. My brother and I both love photography (sorry this is going to be a long comment lol lots I want to say) class myself as an enthusiast photographer or amateur enthusiast. First trip Skye we got to Eilean Donan. Right let's get the cameras out get some nice shots. I'm filled with dread as I go to get my camera don't see it and it's not in the boot. Realise I've left it at home. 21 miles outside of Glasgow. I was gutted. The phone I had then was pretty basic so I spent those few days going around Skye taking pics on an Ipad Pro which was a bit embarrassing lol. Though at least I got shots. Missed having optical zoom. We walked to the Old Man Of Storr pinnacle but to just in front of it not past it like we should've for the classic view and shot. Both trips to Skye our second last year we went to Elgol. First time we got to take the boat to Loch Coruisk I can highly recommend that. Second time the boats were off maybe due to weather. The street I live and was born in is called Cuillins so I felt I had to see them in real life.
Last year our second Skye trip I now have a Nikon D750. I got myself a gimbal for my phone and filmed all my video on phone. Made this little Skye video thought you might like to see it. Used a track from an electronic German musician I like called Ulrich Schnauss. His music mainly instrumental is often dark and moody. Creates a good atmosphere for landscapes. Your videos are so well done very professional. As good as anything on TV. Peter.

I've just watched this again after returning from my first visit to Skye last week. The Old Man was absolutely mind blowing, just a little walk which I managed no problem and luckily for me the fog lifted as I got up to him. I also made the trip to Elgol on your recommendation. Gorgeous little place, no one there and the drive to it was pretty special too. Skye was stunning, even in the rain and wind.
However, I also spent a week in Harris and Lewis. Have you ever been? Because if you haven't you NEED to go!! Mountains, lochs and the most beautiful beaches, oh and herdies, highland coos and golden Eagle, amongst other wildlife. Needs to be on your must do list Glenn, you'd love it!!
