    Hey guys, thank you so much for watching the video. I felt back that I wasn't able to do the live and move migration within this livestream. I did a demo on it, so you can see how it should work. Plus, I created the virtual machine within the correct storage device 😃 - please enjoy and be safe. btnhd.com/HyperVClusterDEMO

    from 2:15 you seem to be controlling both VM's simultaneously. If this is the case could you explain HOW you do this?

      @@CookingwithB thanks, ye it seemed most likely. But were hoping for some hidden hyper-v feature xD

    I have configured everything correctly but when I simulate an unavailability of one of my nodes, the vm migrates to the second node but it goes off and restarts on the other node in short it is not live. on the other hand when I choose to do a live migration myself like you it's ok it does it well or a quick migration it's good the vm migrates well without restarting what could be the explanation? or is it normal?

    Great video, thank you _ )
    Can you please make something about Hyper-V networking and how to configure separste NIC-s, one for V-Motion (for example) another for communications between cluster and cluster storage and e.t.c. ?

    I would have used 200.50 as the cluster IP and then host 1 as 51, host 2 as 52. So if you add another host later that can have 53.

    • @bjtechnewshd
      @bjtechnewshd  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would have gone that route to if this was a production environment, but knowing that I will only use two machines within this cluster I decided to assigned the IPs that way. Thank you for watching and be safe my friend.

    Thanks for the demo, Regarding NIC Teaming, can i use Switch Embedded Teaming to create Converged Switch then create 4 vNIC linked to created converged switch for LiveMigration , Cluster , Network , VMs?

    The E drive is actually also c:/clusteredvolime right? VMs should be made in there for proper fail over (ntfs junctions)? How does it work?

    • @bjtechnewshd
      @bjtechnewshd  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, you are correct my friend. I had to save it into C:\ClusterStorage\Volume1 which is the iSCSI device that I create and mounted as the E drive. I did a test on it and it worked. I will be posting up the video shortly. It's a demo of the live and move migration with a machine 😀 thank you for watching 🤓

    Hey! You didn't show us how and when did you format those clustered disks.... That's what I wanted to see and focus on. When to format the disks and how to mount all of the clustered disks inside C:\ClusterStorage...before or after creating the cluster?? From the video, looks like before creating the cluster. But now, will it allow me to rename the disk labels and mount them inside C:\ClusterStorage...perhaps no??

    Hey man I have a question. I have two HP enterprise
    servers running Failover cluster. I can access failover
    from both servers. The problem is one of my Nodes
    shows No disk.
    The other node shows cluster disk 1 CSV and Cluster disk
    2 Quorum.
    Why isn't the Quorum disk showing up in node 2. Thank
    YOu

    I'm working on a hyper-v project right now and could use your help. I have 2 physical Lenovo servers running server 2019. I also have a Lenovo storage server (DE6000F). When I create a disk pool (11TB) and then try and create a virtual disk, it only allows me to create a 3TB VD. This among other issues, but would you want to make some extra $ helping me?

    Bernardo, fantastic video! Will you one day extend this tutorial showing the process on configuring cluster shares volumes, for live migrating roles to different storage?

    Does the clustering machines have to be the same exact hardware or can say I use a HP DL580G8 and a HP DL580G9 in the same cluster? If so this would be a game changer for me ! Also what is the similar VMware VSphere setup ? We have both do to licensing costs and needing to expand however wasn’t given the budget I requested by our CFO. The story of my life as our CTO\CIO !

      Not required for fail-over clustering since it points to the same storage device. It is a concern for replication fail-over as there are 2 physically separate copies as an actual clone.
