This video definitely satisfied my curiosity to know that this instant from Blue Bottle is more a safe option compared to Swift Cup. I've had Swift Cup instant coffees from a few different roasters, and I've been impressed by the quality.
I'd be interested to know if you tried the hot brew with a typical coffee water recipe (e.g. Rao/Perger or TWW), and if so how it compared? I'm guessing most people aren't going to be brewing this with distilled water... I noticed you brewed with 70c water, is this to prevent the water from scalding the coffee? I've heard of a similar hack where people cover the granules in cold water before topping up with boiling water.
Hey Brian, Forgive me 4 asking. Did you and I once speak about SCA training here in Japan? Idr who I spoke to about it and I was directed to someone who had first hand experience. I know you don't live here but the person I chatted with on YT directed me to a specific site. Otherwise I find a lot of information on a search but not the exact guy who was an SCA associate for this region. If this does not sound at all familiar, I apologise. Oh 1 more thing. The video you had a few weeks ago about how grinders are similar to headphones is such a dope ass video. I have watched it maybe 15+ times. Idk y but I dig that video so much. Thank u 4 reading this comment. Much love from Japan. 😊😊😊😊

I've never tried specialty instant, would be interested in trying it out!
Love the camera work
Am interested to know how the Espresso one will be. Go for it. 🙂
Maybe this isn't your lane, but I'm curious to know how this instant espresso might work in an espresso tonic.
