Covina California 8mm film of me and Buffy from about 1970

  • Found a reel of 8mm film at my parent's house while cleaning it out. Really enjoyed seeing my teenage self and my dear cat Buffy. Of course we did not have cell phones or digital cameras in the "old days". You guessed at aperture and hoped for the best. It usually took at least a week for your developed film to come back from the developer.

    from la Puente, but in the late sixties made many trips to Covina to the Covina drive -in with my girl...

    my dad and i moved to So Cal. in '73 to Duarte. it wasnt long before we moved to Azusa and i can remember riding my bike down to Tower Records at W.Covina mall to buy a Def Leppard cassette.

    Was in the middle of my "Covina daze" when you filmed this..........didn't know those whereabouts, but thanks for a glimpse of the good old days.

    I grew up in La Verne, a couple of towns east of you, during about the same time. We rode our bikes all around town, through the orange groves and all around the LA County Fairgrounds. Life was simple but great as a kid then.
