- Racing pigeons breeding for 2023 is underway at Robertson Family Racing pigeons! Watch to see how we put our pairs together to minimize fighting between different cocks and bullying of the hen by the cock. We are excited and hopeful as our racing pigeon breeding season starts and wish all our pigeon fancier friends the best of luck for the 2023 pigeon breeding and pigeon racing season!

I thought for sure Purple Greek was a hen instead of a cock for the first few day I had him. He just was acting… confused with his gender??

God bless James... have you ever had the birds not want to fly and if they do is only for 5-10 minutes and when they landed they're really tired, what could that be..?
I have experienced that one season in the past. In my case I believe it was a respiratory issue. You may want to look into that possibility. Good luck and keep me posted.

After I band the youngsters I make sure there is a second nest bowl for the next round of eggs

Great vids bud used your breeding loft pattern for my loft qusetion how long where cocks let in breeding loft to pick their nest box
That’s great to hear! Some cocks were left in that section for a few months so they already had their box established. For new cocks I locked them in the box at night for a week.
Is it possible to know the width and length of housing shelves for each unit?
They are 23.5 inches wide, 15 inches high and 15 inches deep

I just got hardware for closet sliding doors. They aren’t the nicest option but they work fine. Should be able to get them at any big box hardware stores
