Just want to say thanks. Never soldered copper before. Did exactly what you did and it worked out great. Thanks for the instruction keep up the good work
This is exactly how I do this repair for these types of boxes with boiler drains. Exactly! I always use female adapters instead of just soldering the valve to the copper to make it easier for the next guy and less expensive for the customer when the valves need to be replaced again. I am a plumber - not a drywall or paint contractor, so I leave the square-cut piece of drywall in place just like you did, however, I will usually duct tape the piece to the wall unless the customer is certain they are going to get it repaired right away. Good job!
A valve with an integral hammer arrestors would be impractical/impossible for this repair. If a hammer arrestors is needed, one can be attached to the hose connection later.
I love the fact that your videos are very short and informative. Thanks again.
You rock thank for keeping it real’
@@PLUMBINGWITHTIM thanks man
Nice job. Working standing up. No crawling involved. Nice and clean. Thank you for sharing your day with us, Tim. Stay safe and stay cool
Thanks so much my friend

Nice work! I’ve never seen such a clean and neat drywall cutout. Great camera placement to let us see the action.
Thanks for the video. I have to go do the same repair for a customer. I like that you put in threaded connections so it is easy for the next guy!
Love your videos Tim! Especially when you say at the end "Keep plumbing!".
👀🤣 thanks

Thanks Ray have a great weekend
@@PLUMBINGWITHTIM Thanks Tim!
Not bad. You might have a future in this industry.
🤩🤪
Another great video Tim.......... Be safe out there and keep the video's rolling!
I appreciate you
Every man loves a nice valve job 👊🏻🤙
i love the music in the background
Nice video. I would have chosen to replace the box as well as it was ugly. Also, I wouldn’t be happy leaving the drywall loose like that.
Thanks for the great video! How much should expect to pay a plumber for this in the US if I am not brave enough to try? Thanks!
Nice job. Great video.
Nice job. Now it will be easier to replace the valves next time.
Thanks for watching
How much do you charge for something like this
Tim, you ROCK! I literally need to do this job today…👍 are you still in Palm Bay?
Great job. But why not 1/4 turn valves ?
very good work. thx
what is the stuff he put on the copper before putting the couplinks on it
Nice job and video. What would I expect to pay for this job?
Following
How much does a valve replacement normally run rough estimate
How much is the typical cost for this job?
Hey Tim,
Love your videos!
Why didn't you just sweat the hose bibb directly to the copper and save on the female adapter?
So he can replace the valves easily next time.
Quick question. My house has old gray PVC pipes. I wonder if use the new system with shake bite connections? Installing new hot water heater.
Polybutelene Pipes?
Most Good Plumbers won't use Sharkbite however it is code
And plumbing code allows you to use them behind walls
coleman old mobile home, my house.
@@celticqaidbear
No I wasn't disagreeing with your decision to use Shark bite. It's absolutely code. And they claim to warranty their product.
@@zachcoleman6285 I don't know what use. That why I asked.
I have to cut the pipes, I can't just unscrew them & re-screw ne ones????
Why not valve with hammer arrestor?
A valve with an integral hammer arrestors would be impractical/impossible for this repair. If a hammer arrestors is needed, one can be attached to the hose connection later.
Better than me. I would've put shark bite couplings and ended with shark bite valves or adapters with threaded valves
I am surprised you used multiturn valves again instead of quarter turn.
Nice job on the plumbing but tidy up your work with a better job on restoring the wall.
I'm a self employed plumber I don't know y I watch plumbing videos in my off time
Nice job but that box looks old, dilapidated and unsightly . . . it should have been changed
Uhh man that black water line is the worst, those things are only rated for 5 years and when they finally give up they cause thousands in water damage
Why not change the box while you're at it? Then it would be an upgrade instead of a repair. Just sayin'.
Great and clean work done 👍👍👌👌
Am really impressed and always happy watching your videos 🚰🚰🚽🚽”just keep plumbing “
