I really enjoy playing this game. The game feels less complicated than Everdell. I mean, for a group of people who are not too into Everdell and more complex games, I think this game does a great job of providing a level of complexity without taking away all the fun.
I own the original game plus 3 expansions, why should I buy this? The mechanics are identical in too many aspects and the artwork isn't as beautiful from my perspective. Maybe a new player can decide which game to pick but who knows if Farshore will get the same great expansions or will be a dead end?
Maybe I’ll wait for the complete collection. And only if there is a 3D mangrove tree that blocks player view. The ship carrying a meeple seems more like a toy. The mushroom/snail/forest seems more like original Everdell. Shells or coconuts instead of mushrooms would have been cuter but I guess mushroom is the flavor for the next few years.
I'm honestly a little disappointed with how much like everdell this is. I mean, minus the unique cards, this probably could have been an everdell expansion. Anchors instead of door tokens would have helped with the deck growth too, like gold doors did. The windrose tokens could absolutely have been added and the journey track would have been simple enough to implement. Heck it could have even added a harbor bay with its own card type. Tldr it feels like they wanted to add this to everdell, realized it would have bloated it too much, so they spun it off to be a nearly identical game. Which... isn't bad, I just don't know why you'd play this if you already had everdell and a few favorite modules.
Thank you! I got this game for Christmas, and already have Everdell so this should be very simple to play. Great explanations.
Absolutely best instructions! Simple Fast!
You know I think I'll take that card stacking rule in the middle and apply it to everdell.
We do the same!
Great Vid! Thanks, Mike!
Great how to video. Thank you!

Ummm, you didn’t even go over how the turn works or what you do to play?
