Hiya, I have a young family with 2 young children (8 and 4 year old). We are thinking of moving to Ottawa from the UK as I have a job opportunity in the Airport. What would be your recommended areas to bring up a young family with good schools and hospitals within walking distance (my wife doesn't yet drive)? She will probably not work for a while as the child care costs are high so renting for a couple of years will be our initial step. Any ideas of the ball park rents/House prices for a 2 bed property? Many Thanks Amran
Agreed Murray Town. Trying to encapsulate all the great Neighbourhood a into one short video is not an easy task. This was to highlight just some of the areas. Perhaps a part 2 might be worthwhile?
I am thinking to move to ottawa, I would like to live in central downtown area, looking for a nice one bedroom apartment please gave me a price range for everything on a monthly basis
I have noticed a difference since Covid started that the market area and downtown has changed. Some streets for sure should be avoided for the homeless. Wondering if the Salvation Army location moving might help. Time will tell.

Hello Amran. Feel free to send us an email at admin@living-inottawa.ca and we can help you. Best.
You missed Sandy Hill. It’s every bit as ‘downtown’ as the Burgh, if not moreso, IMO and Mechanicsville.
