Hey Alan, I found your videos a couple of years ago and they made a tremendous difference in feeling OK to start T. I’m on T a little over 9 months now. I’m 38 and I’ve been following trans men on TH-cam since I was 22! But your videos helped me the most. You give voice to how so many of us feel - that starting T is often filled with uncertainty. Thank you so much for helping me feel less alone and to see my feelings reflected back. 🙏🏻
Nice to see you're doing well. Can't believe it's been 10 years! I remember watching some of your earlier videos when you started on here. Thank you for sharing your journey with us! Wish you all the best :D
I really appreciate your updates, however long or often they are, and that they are so earnest. The positives and the negatives. It's important to hear both (and to share both I bet). You are a very comforting presence in a world where most out trans men are pretty young and/or do not document their journeys after a couple of years. I think I started following you early on in my journey and have started T around age 31/32 as well (altho I see many trans people keep track of when they started T, I didn't, I don't know why, I just don't feel the need) and although I appreciate the work any trans men who choose to be visible do, I have a hard time relating to the younger ones, both because I have a hard time relating to someone who had the chance to transition earlier in life, and relating to people over 10 years my junior in general haha. All this to say I look forward to any video you put out and I am very grateful you chose to start this channel and to keep updating it, even all those years later.
P.S.: Oh and I almost forgot to say. It's funny to hear you talk about belly button lint and thighs so hairy the hair gets pulled as these new experiences because I'm only a couple of years on T and I've had these for a while now! No ear hair yet but seeing how quickly my body hair filled up (still barely anything on the face tho, damn it) I wonder how soon it's going to be for me. Anyway all this to say maybe it's not a getting older thing, maybe it's just a genetics thing.
Been watching your videos from when there weren’t that many online, probably 8 years ago or more. Great to see your updates as a transman myself. Congrats about your gf and newly found community.
I really like your updates and recognise a lot. Our experiences seem similar and I watched most of your older stuff when I was figuring myself out. I started T when I was 30 and am now almost 4 years on T. Really nice to see you still updating once in a while.
I'm always excited to see another post from you pop up on my feed😊 Thanks for continuing to post updates! I don't get to see a lot of videos from people older than me/ much further in their transition so its really refreshing/informative. I really appreciate your perspective 👏
Thank you so much for sharing! I watched your earlier videos, when I figured stuff out for myself, and you helped a lot. My 4 years on T mark is coming up and I'm always incredibly grateful to see trans-folks further along than myself! Also thanks for including your feelings regarding friendships / acquaintances with cis-men. I started transitioning at 28 and can relate a lot to what you said.
Congratulations on your 10-year T anniversary and your success with your current partnership. I hope you run across more queer men friends. It is normal for cis-male hemocrit levels to be a bit higher than cis-female levels. If it it goes over the upper limit then a reduction in T level may be worth a try. By the way the sound level, of your last few videos have been a bit to low. Perhaps you can find a way to boost it a bit.
My Estrogen went out of whack about 5 years in. I had to go on an Estrogen blocker. So I would definitely have that checked again in a couple months. Also if you're testosterone is too high, that can convert back to Estrogen, causing an increase. So definitely have the Estrogen and testosterone checked again in a few months. Just wanted you to know you aren't alone in dealing with possible Estrogen issues.
I also started having issues with high rbc, etc probably 4 years in. I have to give blood regularly and I'm also on some supplements. This helps keep everything in the proper range. High rbc is extremely common with transmen.
My impression watching this video, especially the discussion about your chest, is that we are own worst critics. Honestly, your nipples and chest look great.
You have a very good looking..... natural looking male chest....to me. Shoulders and arms too. I am a cis gender male....and a viewer for many years now.
I had body hair before the facial hair. If I wair a necklace my chest hair would get pulled by it and that would hurt. Lol my Dad was hairy so I have hair all over too. I have dark hair so that is of course more visible. Once and a while I do have bad dreams about my breasts growing back now and then. I have bad dreams about getting my cycle back too. That is not possible because I got all my equipment taken out. I did not start hormones until I was 37.
Hey good to see you! I was wandering have you always had shaky hands? I noticed in this video that you seemed shaky and your hands specifically? Is it maybe something health connected or just too much coffee that day hahah
@@TheSLOfox oh so sorry to hear that :( I hope you find a solution to it and in the next video your hands are steady as a rock. :) Sending the positive vibes! p.s. thank you for being a very important part of my journey to self discovery. I haven't had anyone close to my age when I started my journey 10 years ago and you were that person for me. I didn't transition in the end (maybe things change who knows) but still if there hadn't been for people like you and you specifically I would have never figured myself out so thank you :)
Hi there, thanks for the feedback. My videos sound fine on my computer, the same volume as all other random videos I've watched to compare volume with. But I do hear that the sound quality is not the best, although on my computer it sounds quite acceptable. I will look into getting a real microphone.
@@TheSLOfox For some reason, I have to turn my volume all the way up to hear your videos. I watch a lot of videos and your channel is the only one with low sound issues. Have fun shopping for a mic! 🙂
Wow can’t believe it’s been 10 years already. Sending love Slofox
Thanks for the update. I think it's safe to say you're the trans person I've been following the longest that is still posting.

Thanks for the update. I started my transition at 34... but i'm only 35 right now so not nearly that far along lol. I'm 1 year 8 months on T.
Your videos are extremely helpful. Thanks a lot! Starting T soon, at 43.

Thanks! Yes, I have a bad hand tremor all the time. It's awful. I am working on it with my doctor.

eek 😵💫😵💫😵
??
You need close captioning or a louder voice. if I can't hear you, there are millions that can't hear you.
Come on man...he just has a soft voice. Try to turn up the volume a little bit then?
@@Ele_Room The audio is so low. I cannot even hear them with ear buds. I turned everything up, too at three sources. Shame. I want to listen, too.
Please improve the audio of your videos. It is too light.
Agree! Has been that way for years! lol

You might be deaf😭 I’m listening on my phone right now and my volume is about halfway up
@@Nic0Dr4ws No, not deaf.
