That black lace cocktail dress Barbie with her magical watteau cape is on my radar as well. I proudly own Blush Beauty Barbie (her dark chocolate hair against her fabulous blush coat ensemble is chic and sophisticated), Blush and Gold Cocktail Dress Barbie ( I fell in love with her beautiful, angelic face) and the Mattel 70th Anniversary Barbie is a must for any Barbie collector as owning the original 1959 Barbie in silkstone is utterly rewarding; the weight and shape of her makes me think of an award statue whenever I hold her. I also want to give a shout out to the 1989 Wedding Party Barbie, though not a silkstone, owning a delicate replica of the 1st Bridal Barbie in porcelain is as precious as a heirloom pearl necklace. Those all sound awesome. I forget actual porcelain barbies exist. I wouldn’t mind the porcelain ken and the porcelain Gay Paris Barbie.

what I forgot to mention is that I like the old silkstones better than the new ones because their body used to look more curvy and feminin. mattel now even reduced the silkstones breast the look so small or flat jajaja and her bodies too thin.I like the idea of a articulation but mattel should have left the the same proportions of the bodies and more articulations in her hands and her knees the just bend up and down not even to the sides.more jewelry and accessories.
I 100% articulation is wonderful but I love the curves.
I dislike the articulated body so much that I swapped their heads onto the original body (thanks to donor dolls I purchased from ebay, Tuesday Morning, etc.) Luckily, the clothes fit, they're snug, but they will go on.

For me my most ultimated wishlist on silkstone are Lady of The Manor and Verushka.
Those are two great ones to want! Haha

they're so stunning.... i was not into regular Barbies and Silkstone Barbies (I'm into other dolls...) but since BFMC line ended i really really want to have just one silkstone doll. Gonna keep my eye on online stores and ebay to snatch one with agreeable price. But the dolls in this list probably will have crazy prices? (They're super gorgeous tho!!!) so i'll have to search for other silkstones :D

I saw Stunning in the Spotlight Barbie at a local doll shop and she was so gorgeous. Pictures really don't do her any justice. Her and the Russian Silkstone are my grail dolls.

I just ran into your video. I bought all these dolls. I have a huge collection of silkstones mint in box. So many times I have thought about selling my collection I just can’t bring myself to do it.
I loved the 2009 collection because all the dolls were elevated versions of vintage Barbie oufits.
A bit of trivia for you: the Palm Beach Coral is a miniature version of a 1960s Valentino design. I love it when Mattel or Integrity do outfits based on actual pieces from fashion history, which is why I love Poppy Parker and Victoire Roux dolls.
I think I’ve seen that Valentino design actually but that’s cool that it’s confirmed
@@JeffreySteinmanReviews Oh and the Mermaid Gown Barbie was based on a 1954 Jacques Heim gown and the Siren Barbie is an exact replica of a 1951 Balenciaga gown that's at the MET Museum in New York.

Sugar Daddy Ken is my ultimate grail, but since he only exists as a prototype that ain't gonna happen! He is the ultimate silver fox a la Roger Sterling, IMO the best Ken ever! As far as the released dolls go, I have all the ones that I care about owning, I think. Although if I could have picked up City Smart when she came out I wouldn't complain....a $50 doll that is now worth over 10 times that!
I love all of the _Mad Men_ dolls. At first I was put off by the molded hair on the men (Matthew Weiner, the producer of _Mad Men_ insisted on it, he wanted the dolls to be reminiscent of the Ken dolls from the era of the series). I stalked ebay for a long time hoping to get City Smart until one night I found with a buy it now price that wasn't insane, I bought her within minutes of being listed. I adore her, photos don't do her justice.
@@dannycarrington1601 I agree, the Mad Men dolls are fantastic, especially Joan and Roger...in fact now that I think about it I would put them as number 3 in my all time favorite silky line, with the Russians first and the career girls second. Congrats on nabbing City Smart. If I remember correctly she has the smallest edition of any silkstone at 500!
Great list, all are high quality dolls but I would mention that the detailing on Mermaid Gown's dress is exceptional. Day at the Races' dress is actually two pieces: it's a strapless dress with a shrug that makes it look like one piece. Prototype photos of Nicolai originally had a red star on his hat but members on the Barbie Collector website complained that it promoted communism (while some of us joked it meant he shopped at Macy's) so the star was eliminated. I'm still ticked off over Sugar's Daddy Ken, Mattel released sneak peeks on the Barbie Collector website but once the press took notice (some reports even mentioned "Ashley Madison", a hook-up site for married men) Mattel backpedaled and said the doll was only a "concept" and "never approved for production" (yet he was included on the list of upcoming releases sent to doll shops). Some OOAK artists have attempted to make their own Sugar's Daddy Ken dolls using other silkstone Kens but none of them use the darker Palm Beach tan that he was supposed to have.

I have #3 (her hair is actually silver. Her hair has a slight purple tinge in the light.), #4 (I don't care for the glitter eyeshadow, but amazing anyways), #6 (she's more spectacular in person), #7 (another doll that looks more amazing in person), #8 (The yellow/grey combo IS stunning!!) and #9 (I am in LOVE with this Ken. I have all except one doll from the Russian series). The vanity is one of my "holy grails" along with the matching mirror and partition that was only available at one of the Barbie conventions. The display case was recalled due to them arriving broken. Someone posted an unbroken one on ebay about 2 years back, and the price they were asking for was a bit much. So many dolls, so little money. I hope you get the opportunity to get theses beauties!!
UPDATE: I've been able to purchase two of my holy grails: Muffy Roberts (love her resting bitch face) AND the Vanity/bench set (won the auction, and got unopened at a cheap price!!).

Jeffrey Steinman Reviews yeah it’s a handsome uniform (wish GI Joe would’ve done stuff like this instead of the fictional uniforms), I’d presume that it’s supposed to mimic the Imperial Russian “White Army” pre the communist revolution the Cossacks and “Red Army” didn’t exactly get along. It would be interesting to see traditional “victorian” era military uniforms from all the different countries

I think they are very cute. I like the details and the designs. But the price point Is a bit much. I feel like it’s paying for the huge packaging. But if I was part of the fandom I’d probably buy them.

Yeah truly amazing, case in point Karl Lagerfeld. She sold out in 2 minutes for I think $200, now on eBay for 10 grand. If I could have scored that one she would have been out the door in a minute! I got bills!
