i remember spike's talk show was the first time bo burnham was on TV, which was awesome. spike was definitely ahead of the time in that regard, seeing internet stars as becoming mainstream
I had no idea this podcast existed (crawling out from under my rock now) -- amazing stuff! This was an incredible episode -- thx so much (loved the London On shout out too ha!) cheers from Toronto
Good episode, I have been a fan of Howie since his first HBO special and St. Elsewhere. On a side note he says a couple times Spike's late night show was the longest running on Fox (3 years) Think he is forgetting Arsenio Hall who was on Fox for 5 years plus a sixth season years later.
Howie has excellent guest. Hes really famous. Hes really funny. Why do his shows get so few views and why is his subscription so low? Gene Simmons got like 26K views. Thanks for doing them Howie.
Agree with you we just have to remember Gene Simmons episode has been out for 48 hours and there's tons of podcasts outlets not just TH-cam (Spotify, Apple Music etc etc) So in reality the Simmons pod has been listened to or watched alot more than 26k times for sure
Actually TH-cam is the newest outlet for podcasts. When I first started listening to em 10+ yrs ago video wasn't even apart of podcasts it was just basically uncensored radio
Didn’t Spike leave Seinfeld to go and write for the Dana Carvey show? (One thing that is consistent with this show, is Howies team is the laziest group I have ever witnessed. No one takes 5 minutes to even google their guests history/backstory. His talk show was even worse. Oof.
When it comes to the entertainment industry I love these inside baseball stories. More guests like this please!
Howie and his daughter always deliver. Thanks you guys are always interesting always fun and always educational.
Spike's a great guest, this ep flew right by.
Howie I love this podcast. Lots of fun.
this is how we get Spikes' car radio on video. get em Howie!
Thanks for introducing me to spike!! I luv him!! And appreciate his talent!!

Was great to see Howie acknowledge how unique and awesome a person Spike is.

I just saw a clip of Howie's house toilet papered to the extreme. I want the back story of the clean up on that.
Another great interview.
Spike's late night show was *criminally* underrated
Just getting better and better thank you
Dam I remember this guy from his show I watched as a kid! The mad tv era!
What a great episode! Most of the time, Howie hits them out of the park. (He is also on the quiet, attentive side…)
Love Spike! Great show!
I enjoyed being the writer in school. I would whisper into the class clown ear my material and he would run with it. I would sit back and enjoy it.
Great Episode
This dude loves himself geez

Love Spike
Spike is a very good guest
Why does Wikipedia have Fred Stoller as the writer for ,"The Soup Nazi"?
Spike also has a great Podcast.
The Soup Nazi is a legend
Howie has excellent guest. Hes really famous. Hes really funny. Why do his shows get so few views and why is his subscription so low? Gene Simmons got like 26K views.
Thanks for doing them Howie.
OK Paul Stanley got a quarter million. Thats a respectable number.

hi Jackie...looking very pretty today..
Howie, he said JOHN KERRY!
He said Ted.
He said Ted Kennedy
Hi Spike
The Soup Nazi “pitch” story is Great because it’s exactly how George pitched the idea for the show to NBC.
Just a story about nothing.
She’s so out of place
Yes.
O Canada
