Please keep in mind that there are American food products sold around the world. However, they don't have all of the ingredients that are in over here. A lot of the disgusting and cancer-causing, additives in the USA are not permitted outside the USA. I found this out while in Italy. It's hard to see ones from other countries actually like the crap we have over here.

I travelled to Australia in 1984. We toured a Sara Lee factory. At the end of the tour I purchased the chocolate brownies which had been my favorite as a child. I took one bite and was so disappointed. It tasted nothing like the Sara Lee brownies sold in the US. After comparing the ingredients it became obvious that the Aussie version was much healthier. I became much more aware of what was in the food we eat here in the US, and I’ve never eaten Sara Lee brownies since that trip.

Hershey has 10% cacoa, but to be considered real chocolate there needs to be between 35-70% cacoa. Hershey was allowed to keep the chocolate label because it's a part of the name, but the hershey bar no longer are chocolate bars. The Hershey bar is now considered chocolate flavoring. Real chocolate is much more expensive to make so it costs more to buy.
For a while they had Cadbury exiled/ banished whatever from the country because they had the correct amount of cocoa in theirs. I read an article about it. Cadbury rules!

For anyone who has never had Hershey chocolate or if you already have, i would recommend you try their "Symphony" bars. Its more of their top of the line chocolate (in terms of quality) as opposed to their base milk chocolate bar.
I literally consume none of those things. The chocolate bar is the only possibility, but I’d never buy it for myself. It would have to be something that is offered to me. Please keep in mind that there are American food products sold around the world. However, they don't have all of the ingredients that are in over here. A lot of the disgusting and cancer-causing, additives in the USA are not permitted outside the USA. I found this out while in Italy. It's hard to see ones from other countries actually like the crap we have over here.

I had to order a box of Cap'n Crunch and it cost $17. Hazelnut coffee creamer is in the little 1 servings like gas station coffee bars, and a bag of 10 was $5. And these are 10 years ago prices.

Paint thinner ingredients are not in cereals, it’s the other way around. Much like baking soda (a food chemical) is used in some cleaning products to de-tarnish silver, but it’s also predominantly used as a leavening agent for dough, the same is said for Trisodium Phosphate. It’s a safe to eat additive that they just happen to make use of in cleaning products (paint thinners) too, not the other way around. You’re fear-mongering for no reason. It boils down to “we use food products as cleaning products”, not “we use cleaning products as food”, and mostly only to balance pH levels in both. Context and order of use is important, otherwise you’re just throwing around uninformed buzzwords to scare people.

I travelled to Australia in 1984. We toured a Sara Lee factory. At the end of the tour I purchased the chocolate brownies which had been my favorite as a child. I took one bite and was so disappointed. It tasted nothing like the Sara Lee brownies sold in the US. After comparing the ingredients it became obvious that the Aussie version was much healthier. I became much more aware of what was in the food we eat here in the US, and I’ve never eaten Sara Lee brownies since that trip.
Yes, the FDA allows all kinds of chemicals in our food that are banned I other countries. The US should follow suit but unfortunately prioritized profits over our health.

Hershey has 10% cacoa, but to be considered real chocolate there needs to be between 35-70% cacoa. Hershey was allowed to keep the chocolate label because it's a part of the name, but the hershey bar no longer are chocolate bars. The Hershey bar is now considered chocolate flavoring.
Real chocolate is much more expensive to make so it costs more to buy.
