Nice to see tripwire be more realistic with their weapon animations. Killing floor 2 was a good step up to show what they can do, hope they keep it up with this as well.
Jacob Miles Red Orchestra 2 and Rising storm 1 was just as realistic, they knew what they were doing long ago, their attention to detail is nothing new. Killing floor is just an arcade game.
Yes i know killing floor 2 is arcadey in a way but so are red orchestra and rising storm games. I just admire the amount of detail Tripwire is willing to implement into their games.
Jacob Miles The thing im saying is that all these cool realistic features was already in RO2 and Rising storm 1, so was the realism. It isn't something new. But I'm not saying that the game is bad. It's pretty much the same gameplay mechanics the same detail of realism with choppers (no tanks unfortunately) and a new better engine. A solid an fun game.
My favourite thing has to be when you're reloading a bolt action rifle mid clip, you have to insert one extra round to account for the one you ejected opening the bolt. Very, very, very few games actually do that.
Check BOOM Library's gun sounds on their website. Stock sounds after all, except Rising Storm 2 used some gun sounds from a recording artist, Watson Wu.
It's not like it was practical in the first place :p Don't get me wrong, the M14 is such a damn well designed weapon, but the full auto was a hell to control, more or less like the german FG42.
ZMan1471 correct me if I'm wrong but weren't GIs issued an M14 with only one magazine, and a bunch of stripper clips. Like legit that's how they were expected to load the weapon
It would be cool if you reload the M16A1 in semi auto so we can see if the selector switch actually moves. Also what happens if you reload with an unfired round in the chamber of M40?
Personal experience with an M14 in full-auto (no I was not in Nam), that thing is completely unbalanced for automatic fire. Basically you will end up with the barrel at the sky after 4-5 shots in automatic. It has a lot to do with the balance of the M14, the front is too light and it could have used a compensator. That is not an issue with the BAR or even the FN FAL. FN FAL is not as well off as the BAR, but it sure as hell is better than the M14.

I'm well aware, but this is the same series that gave us the AVT-40, so I call BS.
The reason they haven't made them full auto is that most m14s in Vietnam had been modified to be semi auto only

idk why but i don't like these animations that much, RO/RS animations were amazing. The textures are really good though.

the reused animations and the double barrel reloads were pretty good, but some of the reloads like the m16 or mat49 are...really, really stiff.
m14 in real gun is full auto
It has semi and full auto available but at the time they prefered semi because the recoil was insane on auto so they weilded the fire selector
