good point about unbreakable stuff. i always thought in any construction there should be a balance of durability as opposed to any one part being much stronger than all the others. except when something cheap breaking protects something very valuable
I've seen a few reviews so far. It's quite a claim, I watched a reviewer send it into the wall an excessive amount of times. Probable beyond the normal crash speed, or number of crashes any pilot could possible encounter. I don't think pilots intentionally crash their quads, but if in fact they do crash, its nice to know a company will stand by their product and provide a frame replacement. That being said. I think too many people are taking the marketing strategy literally and trying to prove that in fact, it is breakable. "City safety" is a common feature on many cars, how many people turn it on a drive into a wall, to prove it works. Not advisable or recommended, but its nice to know it's there. People should be more "thankful" that a company stands by their product instead of bashing it. Great video. I've heard that this is a good flying quad out of the box. I do appreciate the video and the time it takes you to put together the footage and provide the viewer a good "rundown" of what your getting from Foxeer 25. I really like that RUNCAM Thumb 4K footage, It is a much improved version of the RUNCAM Thumb. I was looking at the specifications and trying to determine if it was in fact a RUNCAM 5 in a smaller form factor.
Big fan of your reviews in general, but the upcoming notifications are top NOTCH! Great wait to plan watch to watch. ...and been on the fence of buying this frame or the new pavo25 frame. Using the guts from the eachine cinewhoop clearance. Tried the sector25 frame, easier to work on but hot motors. Anyway, keep the notifications coming. Thanks

Yep I’m gonna have to pick this little quad up for sure. Cant find a frame for my transtec beetle anymore- keep breaking bottom plates and can’t find a 2.5 frame that fits the air unit that was in my broken beetle :-(
Was looking at one of these for back yard flying but ended up getting a deal on a Protek 35 with DJI air unit instead. Really wish I had gone the Foxwhoop route though as the size/noise level of the 35 just doesn't fit for my yard or neighbors even with 8 bladed props.
Just received mine yesterday, waiting on some 4s batteries to arrive. It is a stout frame, and for me a good stepping stone up from the micros I have been flying. I ordered mine with crossfire, as I have already gone down that road. Looking forward to flying this one. I'm a cruiser, and this just seems to fit the bill. Thanks for the review Albert... Cheers.
Very nice review. If had a lot of cinewhoops and whoops but this one looks like whag i need for the job i want to do thanks a lot and nice flying keep up the good work
Awesome flying and review, Albert! 😃 Do you think it would be possible to build this frame in the "normal" configuration? Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
How would you define "good"? I wouldn't consider this a 1st drone. You should start on something smaller like the Mobula6. Then move up to this later after you learn how to fly.
I just build mine w. HDZero freestyle V2 and 650 6S. It came out to 249g. Coming from 5/6” freestyle builds, this little guy feels too heavy to do anything other than slow easy lines. I have to keep the throttle at 60% just to hover. Still, I just did a trip to Huntington Beach, CA, and got some nice video using the Thumbcam Pro W, with it.
I really would enjoy some opinion about the 45A F7 Esc/FC : Is there a noticeable difference between the F4 and F7 Stacks and isn't a 45A Esc on such a small drone just a waste of potentially not used capacity and with that money? The quad looks pretty well tuned and for this size pretty durable! Thanks for the review!
@@Adam_Carbone Yes I know but do you (does anyone not super extreme pro level person) notice the difference of an higher loop frequency? The Ampere rating also seems pretty irrelevant price wise and is propably also not really about the True A rating an more about: This could do more than another product from the same company....
The higher loop frequency is not that noticeable or useful. The 45A ESCs are a little overkill but I suspect 30A ESCs are not much cheaper and those parts might not even be available. Given the chip shortages some of the cheaper components are actually not available anymore.
Quick question if you don't mind: I am I love with FPV, but have a ridiculously limited budget. I finally splurged and got myself the DJI goggles v2 and am now on the hunt for a budget cinewhoop style drone. Do you recommend anything by chance? Thanks for your input, and I look forward to the vid in 17hrs 😉 keep at it!
@@Adam_Carbone gopro. I am in love with the Geprc line of drones but am facing the dilemma that new prebuilt ones on Banggood are around 400€, as I would like the digital version
I was in the same situation you are in not too long ago. I bought the digital version of the BetaFPV Pavo25 Whoop the beginning of this month. It just came out. Check out the reviews by Kim, Captain Drone, Drone Camps RC and others. I too have the DJI goggles v2 as well as the DJI controller. This drone is so easy to fly. Any digital drone is more expensive that the analog version but the digital screen image make the experience so much better. The BetaFPV Pavo25 is also easy to fly on a windy day. Whatever you pick, make sure it is not super light or flying outside will be a chore. Good luck.
Determine what you want to carry and the type of flying, freestyle/cinematic first. GOPRO/INSTA 360 GO 2/Runcam THUMB/5. This is the most important question or do you plan to use the footage from your goggles? If you are planning on a carrying some weight (GOPRO) 3.0 - 3.5 (better). RUNCAM THUMB/(4K)/INSTA 360 GO/2 a 2.0 - 2.5 will be ok. "I hear" the GEPRC CINELOG 35 is quite good, great cinematic capabilities (so I've heard) and some (not built for it) freestyle potential/capabilities. If your on a budget, you have to consider the hidden costs associated with FPV = batteries, battery storage bag, battery charger, charger, repairs, props, radio(controller), etc. Maybe you want to start with a (as someone suggested @WamperSnapper) a tiny cinewhoop first, then move up.
@@pandrews01 thanks for your input! I always try to go around and work towards what I already have (in the sense of I already have a gopro 9, so let's get something that can hold it, you know?). The hidden costs are indeed "a bitxh", and that's what is holding me back from just getting one.. the cinelog 3.5 does seem to be a safe bet, but yeah nect question would be 4s or 6s and yada yada..

Like most cinewhoops, strong winds aren't good for it. I don't think there are any that are other than the ones with very thin prop guards.

no

Yes
I installed the Waslksnail 1S VTX on mine. I had to do some filing on both the frame and the corners of the VTX but got it in. It's a VERY tight fit
You must have the V1 VTX that's got the extended edges. The latest version is smaller and should have no problems.
