    I love your what I would call etiquette lessons,as an immigrant to the US,I didn’t speak a word of English when I arrived here,but I made a promise to myself to master this language in a year’s time,not only to fit in,but to function in my daily life.But ever since I discovered your program,I’ve learned that I too,had learned some “objectionable “ words and I have corrected myself since.Thank you and your mother that pointed that out to you when you were young,for the benefit of us all.

    Let me try to remember the information through writing. I hope 'Grammarly' will help me again))). Otherwise, it will be... not that atrocious, but rather funny, you will be laughing but not understand a bit of my 'novel'. So, let me try... The company strived to attain the highest levels of excellence in the delivery of services (a sentence that I found in a job announcement of a Christian charity company for children, the announcement is so smart, that I have decided to use some of their lines for a better remembering of this captivating lesson))). Not that someone has found something horrendous in their work, but the company decided to alter some services. The alterations have turned out to be rather nice, therefore no one will perhaps find at least something disappointing in their work... (well, 'Grammarly' is good!)... Thank you so much for your smart and accurate lesson, mister Harry! Well, it is really helpful.

    Hi Harry. I am very glad and grateful stumbling on your TH-cam channel , I have learned so much in a short week. I am living in the US but English is not my mother tongue therefore oftentimes I had difficulty understanding people from England, you are an exception ! Please explain your English accent : What region of England are you from ? Is London accent standard in the UK ? Thank you.

    • @LearnEnglishwithHarry
      @LearnEnglishwithHarry  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching. There are accents in every locality in the UK. Some of the words they use are very localised. I’m originally from one of those regions but I have been living outside of England for a long time. My accent is no longer as prominent. All the best

    I would say the word 'bad' really only applies well to a situation that has gone unambiguously wrong and could have very negative consequences. For example, when you are in a canyon and it starts raining hard, it is very appropriate to say, 'This is bad!' Otherwise the Teacher is spot on!

    I am a new immigrant. English is not my native language. I am trying to fit in the society and English will be one of the hurdle that have to be overcome. Speaking is not my problem but listening is difficult as the accent of local people is different to our country. I have nto listen to the radio everyday eventhough it is hard to be understood. Hope that I can communicate with all local people well within next 3 months.

    • @LearnEnglishwithHarry
      @LearnEnglishwithHarry  ปีที่แล้ว

      Learning a new language can be challenging, but with dedication and practice, you can overcome the language barrier. Listening to the radio every day is a great way to improve your listening skills, and don't be afraid to ask people to repeat themselves or speak more slowly if you don't understand something. Good luck!
