Hey Roscoe. Since you asked... I'm gonna be honest here. .I don't comment a lot but have been here since the beginning and pretty much fell in love with your authentic, pure joy in discovering our boys. I couldn't wait to click on your videos when they popped up. I still feel that way, but then it's different somehow because there seems to be very little new actual BTS content. I know you appreciate having people help guide you through all this, but I also feel like you're a little bit too careful about what you're doing and seeing. You're too afraid of this or that so you are kind of unintentionally stagnating yourself and your experience. There are so many amazing songs and performances that you are missing out on. So much just sheer fun stuff the boys do. I'm so excited for you to see it all because I know how much you are going to love it all. Mainly I think it's putting too much pressure on yourself and I want you to have fun with this journey and feel free to be you which is why we all fell in love with you to begin with. I hope I haven't offended you or made you feel bad with anything I've said. Regardless.. I'm here for the ride. 💜
I tend to agree with this. it feels like you're trying to do it the "right way" and as if though there are things you're allowed or not allowed to watch.

there are very few songs that "require" you to have more background (like "we are bulletproof: the eternal") but overall watch whatever you want

Roscoe, I'm going to echo some other comments made below - forget about "the right order" to watch MVs or songs. Do You. Stop worrying about getting it wrong, or "not ready for that"! Some things ... no one can be ready for them. It is not POSSIBLE to get it wrong when your are loving BTS. It's absolutely fine to be a bit of a scattergun in your approach (I think that might be bothering you a bit) ... if you are scattered, you will show us things we did not see before. I trust you in this much more than anyone's set of "rules".
You can always go back and watch the "BU" FOR the "BU" later - you won't lose anything by hearing the music before seeing the MV, because the whole point of BU (I think?) is that the images don;t relate to the song anyway - they tell their own arcing story which is independent of the songs - at most there is a minor link. That is one thing that makes the BU MVs confusing for many people. I've never tried to follow the BU story, though I've watched a VERY fast forward and light handed explanation video from Xceleste, which was excellent - all her stuff is outstanding.

True, I agree about the BU stuff especially. I watched all the videos before I even thought about dipping my toe into the BU. And even now there’s stuff about BU I’ve missed, that’s OK. It’s still fun, I’m not getting a blue ribbon from anyone😂 The BU will be there when or even if, you ever want to dive into it. But I wouldn’t let that stop you from enjoying the music!

I paused so I could answer. I've been here since the first video, and I would say in general yes it feels the same. The couch is a little warmer because there's more bodies, but that's not a bad thing. Sometimes I think you feel a little bit stressed and we can feel that, which makes me a little sad, because this shouldn't feel like a job to you. Finding BTS never felt like a job to me, it was a wondrous winding road. Organic and filled with treasure. I don't want you to lose out on that because you're worried that you're going to do something wrong. As long as you don't lose the wonder and the joy in the pure discovery, I'll be there to enjoy it with you on the couch! 💜

I hope I don’t get hate after this comment as you did ask for our honesty, for me I do feel like things have changed not saying for the worse but definitely there’s a difference. You are still the same in the way you react to the guys, however I do feel that you are still feeling some pressure to react to certain songs, back in the beginning you watched and did what you wanted only and I loved that. So many ppl make such a thing about the BU, it’s really not that serious, I’ve watched it and gone through it but I did listen to those songs before I deep dived into the BU and it didn’t change my experience, by not listening to those songs you are cutting yourself off from so many classic BTS songs. I feel you need to go back to the first video where you really did you, no spreadsheets, no one giving you advice, it was just you and BTS going on this special organic journey, this is why I love Rogue Roscoe cause you just watch what you want and the results of those videos are always amazing. When the same advice is given over and over to different reactors then the journey doesn’t seem to be a personal journey anymore, I’ve seen many reactors go down the same route and it spoils their channel and I end up pressing the unsubscribe button not because I don’t like them anymore but because it doesn’t feel like a natural process anymore. I’ve always loved your reactions and knew you were going to be ARMY from your very first video, I just want you to feel free on your own channel. Lastly, if you end up watching BTS in concert whether it be online or offline you will hear so many songs (from the BU) so how long can you avoid them for, they will eventually get spoiled and I think it would be better if you could enjoy them and appreciate them before then for yourself 💜

All this yes!! I went around YT by myself my first year. Watched whatever caught my attention and learned by watching and listening, reading and using my rational thinking. I do not feel I spoiled my experience or anything because I didn't follow "The Right Way". Key is to listen to the boys/men. They guide me more than anyone! And they want us to Enjoy, any way we like. So Enjoy!!
I agree with you that Roscoe shouldn't be restricted from watching certain MVs b/c they're part of the BU, unless that was his choice b/c he doesn't want any spoilers before he dives into it. I feel this is causing pressure for him in determining what to watch and I feel sorry to see him struggle and fret when he should watch it if he wants. This will be my 4th yr as ARMY and I've yet to get into the BU but have enjoyed the songs and MVs.

It's different. It would be impossible for it not to be different. The channel's grown, you've learned more about BTS and who they are, and you have a better understanding of ARMY. And you've created a community with the #CouchCrew. What hasn't changed, why I and likely many others are still here, is: Your joy, enthusiasm, and energy are all still there and still genuine. You still get excited when you see something new. You still share your opinions. You are still you.

I do not think it feels the same, but I do not think it should HAVE to feel the same. Both from the youtube comments and from the discord, I have gotten to know quite a few of the couch crew! I look forward to seeing them in chat and saying hello and finding out how they are. Same goes for you and when I see you pop up on the screen or in the premiere chat. I just generally think there is a stronger sense of community now. 🛋
The key elements of this channel to ME are - You and your fun personality, the community that has been built, and the longer style of videos that we can just sit and enjoy with you (or dance around, but you get the point). These to me have stayed the same, and are what will keep me here with you till you deside to stop posting.💜
HOWEVER! If you dont mind me being a bit blunt- I think you may be worring too much. 💕 We will just like you discovering the guys, however you decide to do it. You will not be able to please everyone in regards to order and format, no matter how much you want to. Just know that the people who are on the couch, we just want you to enjoy your journey. Not stress over how you present it to us.

I agree with Vix E and kinda wish you would ignore the BU warnings for now. Watch a video because you come across it and want to watch.. I love rougue Roscoe. I dislike when you question yourself because someone said you are not ready. Just watch and enjoy the videos for the enjoyment. You are limiting yourself from amazing songs. Yes BTS has so much going on in their videos and the storyline is great but the videos and songs are also wonderful just as stand alones. Many of us watched without any order and without regard to the BU. I loved when you just dived in. I still watch everything and love the reactions but when you watched fire and dope you watched them because you picked those to watch. Jin's epiphany is BU. Yes you watched the live but the video would have perfectly fine to watch for the sake of being a great video. I love this couch and everyone on it. Watching someone fall in love with our boys is the best part. You can always go back and start the journey when you are ready. Dope didn't get bad because you rewatched it. It became better because you could see more and had time to get things you missed.
I’m glad you opened space to talk abt what feels different. Much appreciated and I find that very brave and self-reflective. I’ve thought for a couple weeks that sth feels different. Ppl evolve and that’s all good. But I do notice you seem less interested in the music (lyrics, etc.) and are more here for the community. (Again, that is not necessarily a criticism. This community is great & it’s important!) Nearly every one of us say BTS changed our lives! We rly rly mean that. You watch BTS, but I’m not sure you’re letting the experience totally in yet. At some point, as a baby Army, I feel like you hit the brakes and said, “what am I doing?!” Instead of running head first toward that powerful, life-changing experience. It happens to a lot of ppl. In fact, I just this second remember it happened to me. I thought, “Is this a cult?? Should I back off.” Also the voices of friends and family calling my crazy of course. In the end I decided that if this was a cult that preached self-love, love for others, music unites across borders, generosity toward strangers whose faces I’ve never seen, then I’m happy to be in and I ran headlong into it! Other ppl make a different choice, see that they’re talented and then back away. There’s nothing wrong with that. I must admit though it makes me sad to see your fire burn down so early when it burned so bright just a couple weeks ago. And, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t see that happening. I hope this doesn’t offend you Roscoe. You seem like a very nice person regardless of where your Army journey takes you. My comments are only ever meant to edify while being honest. Oh, another thing now that the video ended (Abruptly...too early...how could you? T_T): I know you want to do things "properly", but I really wish you could feel free to watch EVERYTHING of the guys as you please. Two years ago, when they found me, to get to know them I listened to all of their discography in one day, starting from the first song on spotify and ending with Dynamite. The second day I watched almost all of their music video, then a lot of lyric videos on the third day, and so on... Then I started learning about them thanks to my Army friends.
Namjoon and Suga often say that music is their life, the best part of them, the way they can comunicate with us and convey to us their message... Stick to their music. Listen to them. Listen to every new song you feel like. Forget the BU for now, act as if it doesn't exist, there's always time. Their songs are the important thing. Borahae 💜 You're great! 💜
I’m still not over the fact I never noticed the lift wall moving behind Tae until you pointed it out and I don’t even know how many times I’ve seen the MV 🤣 it’s a perfect example of appreciating what you’re doing and how you do it. I’ve not been on the couch long but I’ve crammed a lot into the short time I have and I hope you continue to enjoy doing it ☺️
It feels the same, I feel like at some point you might have been overwhelmed by the info coming at you and the few sour apples but when you finally chose to just enjoy BTS like many of us do at your own pace and own style it started feeling the same again
The only change I see is that the new content has slowed down a bit. Nothing wrong with that as you continue to dive deeper and look more. Having more conversations with us is great and that's what Discord is for more so than YT, I think. I think showcasing your reactions even though I know you don't like that term is what's entertaining for a lot of us. We are reliving the experiences that we had through your eyes. Right now, you've consumed just a snowflake on the tip of an iceberg that is all the BTS content that you can consume. At this rate that you're going you won't even get through their A sides MVs until 2024. 🤣 And trust me it's the b-sides that made a lot of us ARMY. 😏

Hi buddy Roscoe, yes the experience has changed. I think it’s because you’re too concerned with the views of others and it’s getting in the way of your enjoyment perhaps. I liked watching you because I experienced you as being free and I’ve learned so much from regarding cinematic aspects and from your original interpretations on their music videos and lyrics. I said this before, there is no RIGHT way to enjoy a music group, that’s ludicrous! When I hear you say things like... oh I’m not ready for that, or I shouldn’t be going down that way, I wonder who’s telling you that? I find that frustrating and I have wanted to unsubscribe a couple of times because of that but I’m holding on...You’re great just the way you are, with your unique thoughts, feelings and decisions. This IS your YOUR channel, right? Keep going buddy, we’re behind you. 💜

Hi Roscoe. The rabbit hole is meant to be explored. I think if you let yourself meander towards whatever pops up in front of you and peaks your interest, go there. Yea, having ARMY spreadsheets can be helpful when you feel lost but it can also add to your feeling of being overwhelmed and getting lost. I guess what I am saying is enjoy the music and appreciate the art of BTS. Maybe leave out the analysis if if makes you worry? Like a good movie or a good book, once you start analyzing, it becomes work and questioning am I doing it right or wrong - analysis paralysis.
If this helps at all, my sister recently became ARMY and I think I was overwhelming her with suggestions in the beginning. One of the thing I suggested to her was the fanmade docuseries Rise of Bangtan. It ended up being her guide because in each episode there were songs played or videos shown that peaked her interest so she went and looked those songs or mv up herself. It made her journey more fun and she just went at her own pace. She ended up being more ARMY than me, which I did not think was possible. Just another suggestion to overwhelm you but hopefully helpful because I was there watching your channel when you first posted BTS beat saber and I only wish you happiness, not stress. Feel free to watch the docuseries on your own or with couch crew even. BTS is ARMY’s happy place, not worry and stress place. Take care, get sleep (so important after 40 😂) and borahae.
The whole situation is kinda like a double-edged sword ya know, because I can empathize with how overwhelmed you probably are feeling, and so you reached out for help and/or people offered their support so you could do everything the “right” way. And I think everyone there to offer you consistent support and guidance really means well. But where is that invisible line drawn that crosses over from people’s guidance into a space that feels more controlling and manufactured? What’s “right” for others doesn’t mean it’s “right” for you. If you’re asking if it feels different, I wonder if you’ve started to notice a change too.
I’ve read a lot about the spreadsheet and people making comments about what THEY think you’re ready to see. If you want to watch everything in a linear timeline, then do that, but I hope you don’t feel pressured to follow a spreadsheet or think you’re not “ready” to watch something because it doesn’t follow someone else’s opinion on how things should be done. Do what feels right to you. Honestly, most people watching your channel have already seen everything you’re viewing. We are just here to witness your joy (and to relive it vicariously through you). If you’re feeling like something is off or missing, maybe try to change it up. Go rogue more often, but maybe it won’t have to be called rogue if you’re not following some predetermined order or way to do things, or feeling pressured or inhibited in any way. Inhibition and pressure (internalized pressure or externalized) is a joy-sucker!!
I love that you care about everyone, and you’re trying to make everyone happy, but this is YOUR journey; we’re just along for the ride.
I hope I didn’t offend you or anyone else. I wasn’t planning on commenting after I read a ton of replies, and for other channels, I wouldn’t have. But I really appreciate the couch and I am grateful that you’ve created this space and want to make sure, despite how big it grows, the essence of what you initially planned for it to be, remains intact. 💜
Roscoe if there was only one piece of advice I could give anyone about getting tickets, this is it:
Unless you have the fastest computer on the market with a billion GB of RAM, DO NOT STREAM AND TRY TO BUY TICKETS AT THE SAME TIME. Ticketmaster uses bot detection software that places a million cookies and it will slow down your system. So you do not want multiple device connected to your network, and you do not want all your RAM being used by your recording software. It's a recipe for disaster. If you want to record it, have Annie record on a separate device that is not connected to the internet.
I see so many streamers not get tickets every time they go on sale, and this is a big reason they (and other people) experience crashes during the sale. They do not prep their network and hardware for speed.
If you want your best shot at tickets, do this. Disconnect every smart device in the house from your network. Close (or even delete programs on your computer and change your settings to maximize RAM. Disconnect all external devices like storage, microphones, camera, displays, anything that uses RAM. Store your credit cards on your Ticketmaster account. And alert your bank that you will be making a large online purchase with Ticketmaster so THEY don't flag it as fraud. Then go in and when the "best seats" option comes up, scroll down a few and select one that's not first. Because everyone is clicking on the top choice.

I appreciate what you are doing and it feels good. PLEASE keep it organic which is fresh. I know we load you with Ideas of what your platform should be and what channels your Discord should have. I think to much copying of what other are doing will soon become boring and make you like all the others. Besides BTS, many are here because YOUR Journey id not like what’s out there. We never know what you will be doing. Story time, spoken word lyrics, Rogue Roscoe, Mail time, reaction clues, technical camera deep dives, and all around Roscoe excitement and JOY is what keep us engaged and excited. For many of us we are on our second and third BTS journeys because Good reactors keep us thinking and gaining perspective about our Bangtan. Keep it organic and throw whatever ya want at us. JUST dont carbon copy!!! You do good things Couch Captain!

I LOVE your channel, your honesty, your energy, the couch crew but have concerns that this isn't YOUR journey anymore. No one I know was given a 'spreadsheet' of what to watch and what not to watch, it was all self discovery & to me, that's why it's called a rabbit hole. If I personally came across BU videos but not knowing what they were at the time, it didn't phase me, I loved the songs, mv, etc.. and then learned on my own about the BU, etc later and thought, 'ok well that makes sense'. I, with all my heart, want you to stay on YOUR path and do you, react to what you want to.. run bts, in the soop, concerts, behind the scenes, mv, dance practices.. whatever, just stay true to YOU. I feel that it’s the same in the sense that I am constantly checking to see if you’ve added a new video and being excited to see what you’re going to do. It feels different in the sense that there’s not as much BTS content and more conversations with the couch crew. Don’t get me wrong, not complaining or saying that is wrong. I mean I’m still here watching every video from start to finish for goodness sake. Just feels a bit like we’ve slowed down in introducing you to new BTS stuff. There’s so much for you to see and we haven’t scratched the surface yet. But I’m here for the ride no matter how long it takes. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Just being honest with how I feel it’s different. That said, love how you did the video, dance practice and making of Not Today. That’s the format I think helps you get a well rounded view. I would just add at least one live performance to that methodology in my humble opinion. Oh and I just can’t figure out discord. Signed up and posted a couple of things but can’t seem to figure out how to effectively maneuver around in there like I want to. So I will stick with here and Patreon for now. You’ve got some stuff coming from Sicily btw.

Roscoe, when you reached out to me about why ARMY like watching BTS reactors b/c you were thinking about doing that yourself, I wondered about how I should phrase it to you in a way that would hopefully excite you and not bore you with a long explanation. Once you opened that door, I knew your subs would increase exponentially and that it wouldn't have that same intimate feeling as when you only had 200 something subs. You've done a good job though keeping that intimate feeling with the #couchcrew. I had only ever used Discord for my mobile game but joined your server to be with you and the #couchcrew. I had told you that ARMY would be there helping you along your journey but I hope you don't feel like you have to adhere to guidelines that may have been given to you. This is your journey so you do what you want and those that enjoy will still be here for you! I want you to enjoy your ride to the fullest! 💜
You rewatching Dope and your insight about it is why we love watching videos of people reacting to BTS for the first time. There is that feeling of bewilderment that you don’t get again and it’s fun to see other people get that same reaction. BTS will still bewilder you on the second, third and so on watch but there is something special about the first one.
To answer your question from the beginning, I binge watched all your videos when I first found you (since the 3rd reaction episode) and I don’t feel like anything has changed. As everyone said, do you. It was kind of a disadvantage to you that you knew BU since the beginning, but I would say watch any videos you like. Don’t be afraid of the BU. All music videos that go along with the BU are great on their own. Be the baby ARMY that you are and watch any video that catches your attention. Be a rogue roscoe more often. That’s what makes this journey awesome.
I think it’s just as fun and comfy here as it was after the first few videos 💜

Many of our BTS journeys took us all over the place at first, it didn’t matter because the discoveries themselves were what kept us seeking more of Bangtan. I’ve gone back to watch things I saw very early on and saw it through new eyes. Do your journey in whichever way you feel it takes you. We’ll be here, to laugh, cry and share as you go. I am proud of you. It’s your journey and Army should be hear to provide answers if you have questions or need support . I am an introvert so I started my journey by myself. I searched for answers when I had questions. I finally found reaction videos and realized there are lots of people who can help so I read comments after the video played. Nowadays so many reactors are in it for the subs and they are so fake. After so many videos they still don’t know the names or anything about BTS. And now Patreon has become the thing to do. So let me say this, I like you. So far, you have remained the same. Please don’t change. I gotta admit I get a little jealous watching you get so many gifts. Don’t get me wrong, I smile watching you open the packages just wish I could afford to buy them. I am 65 and live on a modest income. But I found BTS many years ago and will remain Army forever. They bring me such joy and I smile every time I watch BTS. Take care and from the quiet one, welcome to the family.

Still the same for me. 🥰 I fell in the rabbit hole over two years ago. And I’m still finding new videos, new songs, etc. I am still amazed but the 7 men each time and I am prouder of them each day. It’s really amazing and I want to share it with someone. So I am so happy to watch you on your journey because I get as excited as you when you see videos for the first time. It’s like watching someone open a gift and knowing you’ll love it.

I've been coming back here whenever I have time because you're one of my favorite people now and I love the big comfy couch.
we want you to talk about whatever you feel like talking about when you're doing reactions. If you wanna talk about the smoke and texture, go ahead. If you wanna talk about cinematography, go ahead. It's all very entertaining. There are regular reactors, and there are top tier reactors, you are a top tier reactor. All the reactors in the top tier bring something different to the table and are unique, you just keep doing it however you want to. Don't worry about "am I doing this right, should I talk about this or not". There are no mistakes or incorrect interpretations! I would say, be less concerned about what the audience thinks and focus more on enjoying yourself. If you enjoy yourself, we will definitely enjoy it as well. The music vid + dance practice + making-of + live performance format seems to be a good one.
I know the amount of content is rather staggering and overwhelming, so we don't want you to feel worn out or burnt out, do it at your own pace. Though I would recommend getting through the set list for the Vegas concert before you actually go to the concert, that way will be able to recognize the songs which makes the concert more enjoyable. I think people can give you a list of songs to get through, based on what BTS performed in LA last December. Black Swan will definitely be performed, as well as Baepsae, these two you haven't done yet. And a couple more.
I'd like to see more actual reactions. Your the first reactor that I've ever actually contacted personally (I sent you my granddaughter's drawings) so I definitely won't stop watching your channel you made such an impression on me. Don't get me wrong, I love the conversations with couch crew but still feel like we're not seeing so many reactions, which I love because of your genuine excitement. I saw a couple of comments in one of the lives that I didn't understand - someone asked for you to watch Bepsae and the response from someone else was "not ready". Really? Why not? I've also seen this when someone asked you to react to MMA performances - 2019 will blow your mind. I'm not quite sure why you wouldn't be ready. If I had to guess about the ‘not ready’ regarding the ‘19 MMAs, it MIGHT be because he’s not been through all the songs in that set list yet. 🤷🏻♀️ I could see someone feeling like the new viewer won’t experience the extent of the ‘feels’ and significance for things that harken back to their early days. (That was part of my MMA experience ... the added emotion of seeing the growth from early performance stages (awards/celebrations) compared to the ‘19 MMAs. Then the presence of older songs just magnified the, “Remember where we were? And now we’re bringing it forward? And connecting more dots?”
That’s just a guess, I have no idea. But outside of watching everything in release-date order, I don’t know that he could have an experience exactly like that. That’s not good or bad, just different. But if someone wants to evoke that, it seems nearly impossible.
The only guide I would suggest is for him to listen to all the original songs that are referenced in the ‘19 MMAs first. That way he’s a bit familiar with the original, and can appreciate where the song is a variation. Otherwise, he’ll not get there for FOREVER. Avoiding the BU stuff means not hearing I Need You, and that means ...
So anyway, that’s my best guess. I want him to do him, that’s it. He could ask for input to consider things, but consideration is all it should be.

I remember clicking subscribe thinking how does this creator only have this number of subs? Crazy! But different is not necessarily a bad thing. Almost everything evolves and changes. I’m so glad you were able to recover this video. It’s great to be able to revisit a video you have already watched after you know the guys. FUN. I discovered BTS on my own and I used the buffet style of video watching. Scroll through the content and hit play. New stuff led to old stuff led to Run led to ……. You get to see them in all the stages of their journey and that makes me happy and informed. I know some of what it took for them to get where they are and I can relax into their incredible bond as BTS family. Some like to start at the beginning and only watch in order of release dates but I notice because there is so much stuff to see they begin to feel jealous they will not allow themselves to see the more recent stuff. That’s their decision, you seem most invested when you go rogue so Do You. Don’t worry about the BU it’s there if you want it but you can enjoy it when and if you want to. Many kudos to your gang that set you up with the playlists, so much love and effort going into that work. It will be a great guide to look up dates and albums the songs come from, as you veer around the enormous amount of content. You think Carpool was funny add Run to your cereal bowl and get a jolt of happiness. Remember STOB stressing on “the right one” go with the flow You are nice keep going.
i'm not sure what you mean by "the same" you have a genuine personality and joy and that's why i started watching in the first place, that hasn't changed. you'll naturally change over time i think since you're, you know, a human being, but since you're so enthusiastic about bts i think it will always be fun to watch you discover new things.

The great thing about discord is that you can choose to participate in the conversations or not. Some folks like to just lurk and that's OK! You can scroll back up thru missed convos and reply back to a person on something they may have said days ago. No pressure with discord; just chat at your convenience. 💜

Hey Roscoe. 💜💜 My 5 cents worth 🇨🇦here. As many have already said things have changed a little. I would say the biggest difference is that you’re afraid to venture into certain videos *cough* the BU ones but you shouldn’t be. They’re all excellent videos and part of the growth of BTS. It’s just that if you want to deep dive into the supposed story it might not make sense if you take them out of order. On the other hand your theories WITHOUT knowing are fresh and interesting and I feel we did you a disservice by saying oh no! I did myself but only because you started at the end.
Just be you please. If you want to start at the beginning start at the beginning. If you want to go from recent backwards, do that. Please just have fun and ENJOY Bts!! 💜💜

The wonderful thing about BTS & ARMY is that there's a reaction channel for everyone. There's folks that focus on the dancing, some that focus on the vocals etc etc. ARMY can find the channel that resonates with them. What I love about #couchcrew is that it's far beyond you "reacting" to videos. You share who you are. You show us how this effects you too. I'm sure folks at those channels have interactions with their watchers but I've barely heard them acknowledge it. So again, your authenticity and integrity come through in the best way!!!!! I concur about the mail videos being very frequent. Just as I would recommend you being careful about how much content to put out in terms of your health and happiness, I have to make sure to not watch so many videos that it creates an unhealthy balance for myself. I prefer your honest reactions to the music videos the most, so I think that is what I will focus on. Maybe not liking the “What you missed in hotter Butter” is an indication for you to also focus on the music and not too many side compilation videos. Additionally, maybe figuring out how to make videos that don’t take so long with edits will be helpful for you. (And, please don’t get hung up on avoiding BU labeled songs. The videos can be enjoyed for the music and lyrics without worrying about the underlying BU narrative.)

Hey Buddy! I love your channel, the atmosphere, and your genuine thoughts and reactions. I ALWAYS look forward to WHATEVER you bring the couch. Same? Different? How about AWESOME?! I follow a few reactors and enjoy their content. But what really gets me about your content is the excitement, open mindedness, authenticity, and experience with video making. Are you going down the rabbit hole the “right” way? Maybe…maybe not. Whose to say? I was asleep all through BTS. Kept hitting the snooze button on Boy with Luv and Dynamite. Butter got me to sit up…. but it wasn’t until My Universe came out that I took notice….and shortly after the documentary that came out about how Coldplay and BTS came together for this song. Chris Martin shared how he felt about BTS…and that’s when I started my journey….and have been awake ever since! I went in all willy nilly and was knee deep before I even heard about BU. I’ve since explored BU….and looking back, I don’t feel any different about how how started with BTS. I started off experiencing most recent BTS content, then introduction, hardships….which made me want to start from the beginning of BTS, then I went full on free range.
I enjoy the journey….yours, mine, and army! Just stay true to you. Again, I enjoy this page and I appreciate ALL that you put into it….the time, work, excitement, and authenticity!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Your side-eye during *that* moment with the "brick wall" had me laughing so good. 😆 I still love it here and adore you and am always eager to watch your new vids, but I do sense that sometimes your care for the couch community may encroach on your personal journey with BTS. And that may be okay! You're a shepherd by nature. I suspect some aspects of the couch community overlap with some of why you were drawn to being a youth pastor when you were younger, and I LOVE that you have a space for that fulfillment and expression! You have such a big heart and want to offer us a safe haven, and we love you for that! We just also want to make sure you're getting what *you* deserve out of discovering BTS and ARMY, whether that's joy, healing, laughter, all of it. If you're happy with your balance, that's all that matters. I think it's a tightrope act anytime an expectation is placed on something we do out of love. I'm a book editor, I use to LOVE books, but running 2 book clubs for 5 years killed my love of reading because there was constant expectation for my "free time" reading instead of reading on a whim, turning my brain off and just purely escaping.
Which also leads me to say that I want you to feel free to watch anything anytime, no rules unless they're your own. I think for a lot of ARMY the phrase "you're not ready" is hyperbole, a shorthand joke expression not meant to be taken literally, more like "man this is going to blow your mind, take you next level, you better hold onto your ass for this one, there's no way be ready for this!" But I'm sure some people actually mean it literally, probably trying to guide you with good intentions, but really it's too controlling and interfering. Sure, you may appreciate some things deeper if you watch them down the road after you've experienced XYZ, but I think this re-watch of DOPE is the perfect example of how that could apply to ANY content!
And last thing is, I hope you don't feel required to make every video super long or super analytical if that's not what you're feeling that day. Go with wherever your mood, energy, interest, and time available takes you!

Yes, the couch has changed, it’s still comfortable and I still love it BUT it doesn’t feel like it’s your couch anymore. I understand that you need helpers with how much the couch has grown, but I feel like while they genuinely want to help, they have taken your journey away from you and you are no longer being your true, authentic, curious self (not in the reactions themselves, in the journey through BTS).
I will echo what others have said. I love Rogue Roscoe, he is the man that made me smile (you still do), I think you are limiting yourself by following a set script from someone else, this is your journey and you should take it as you please.
I have been with you since beat saber, and I know how military minds work (regardless of whether you’re still in/involved in the military or not)! Order is great, but chaos is so much more fun. I think you are still reacting the same way, but you are not doing you in your reaction journey, you are following someone else’s path. The whole point of the rabbit hole that is BTS is that it is your unique path to follow and you shouldn’t allow others to tell you how to do that.
I’m also many hours ahead of you, so your premieres are usually around 0400 my time, which I don’t mind at all. While I joined Discord, again because of the time difference I feel …………left out? As all conversations happen mostly when I’m asleep.

I’ve been quiet lately (unrelated to the couch, just stressed at work) I think the part that has changed is there’s a bit of stress in you that comes from trying to make sure everyone is happy and restricting what you “should/shouldn’t” watch. I can’t imagine the amount of comments you are getting and all the opinions, and I know you want to make sure you read them just in case something needs to be addressed or taken into account. I know most of us are saying “just do you” and you should but I imagine it’s incredibly hard to also try to meet everyone’s expectations. I have no advice here on how to deal with it but know the couch crew are here to listen and support you!

Just go for it, Roscoe. There are so many little nuggets I’ve come across in the two years I’ve been following these charming, talented men. I sometimes get corrected by established ARMYs but that’s great and fills in this gaps. I’m not throwing myself into the BU but love the songs and the videos which are part of it I feel it’s a bit of a strange concept but I do like to know which ones belong to it. Yes, it feels different. Ofc it's amazing, that we're all growing and started to get to know each other. But as some people have said, it feels like you're put like in a box like other youtubers, where some tells you, to avoid some videos to not get spoilers. But as you said and what we all want is this journey to feel realer and different from others. In my opinion it would feel even more real and interesting, if you would just go through youtube and pick ANY bts related video you want to watch. My favourite part of your videos are just you wandering through random videos and picking the one, that catches your eye
