@@tobygarrison7425 God Went North makes me fucking cry every time I hear it.. Because I watched my mother die also from Cancer and my aunt die in a similar fashion.. And he literally word for word nails describing that experience.. It's insane..
The vocalist used to be the drummer and you can tell from the cadence that you talked about. He has a very rythmic style to his vocals, especially in certain sections of songs
I absolutely love this band! Really forward thinking and sonically/lyrically unique, and I love that you checked this song out. I've been praising this band for like 3-4 years and it's amazing to see the positive feedback on them
I’ve been a fan for years. I finally got to see them live for the first time last week. I got home and immediately booked a flight out west to see them again in 2 weeks. Best live show I’ve ever seen! The energy is off the charts. I can’t believe I’m seeing them in small venues. I’m grateful I’m seeing them in small venues but I can’t believe they’re not selling out stadiums! They’re so unique and so good, they give me hope that rock isn’t dead.
Great reaction my dude! Honestly, any of their songs are worth listening to. They have that amazing combo of clever and varied musical elements along with poignant and thought provoking subject matter told through absolutely poetic lyrics. I feel like they always have something worth thinking about to say. Seen a lot of good recommendations on here but if you’re looking for something on the softer acoustic side, Just Say When is another of my favorites.
If you ever have the chance to see them live you should definitely do it. They are just as great live. My 18 year old has been a fan of them since they were on sound cloud. She’s been to see them 4 times. I have taken her twice. We drove 250 miles to see them for her 16th birthday. I used the chorus of Fade In/Fade Out as a quote for her senior yearbook page.
Nothing More and Starset are my favorite bands in rock atm. Everyone is already recommending great Nothing More songs, so if you want to checkout Starset, Bringing It Down is a great song, and is one of their heaviest since you like metal.
Mr. MTV has an interesting message similar to Hansha from OAA. Really good song instrumentally as well. Nothing More is just the definitive rock band of this decade
Great reaction, love this band and this song! Suprisingly they've always been really experimental and really different from a lot of bands out there. Their self-titled album (for example) is really more on the progressive and heavier side. Funny you mentioned Thrice too because they've said Thrice is one of their biggest influences.
Seen Nothing More live a couple of years ago and they are fantastic live...one of the best concert performances i've seen....should be more popular in my opinion.
Great song! These guys know how to write a very interesting rock song with interesting structures and little details, as well as cool riffs. There was a brief period of time where I was listening to them for a bit, and this song was actually the one that got me into the band, introduced by the channel Rocked (he's a big fan of this band from what I remember). Don't know why I stopped listening to them, but I gotta get into them again!
Trust me when I say, you gotta check out their performance at the 2017 APMA’s. Legit one of the coolest live performances you will watch from this band
Nothing More - Fade In/Fade Out or God Went North are beautiful songs by them. I would reccomend reviewing the lyrics a little more with this band. It adds so much to the song. Great reaction!!
Nothing more is absolutely incredible!.. Welcome to a beautiful rabbit hole with Nothing More!... They are way more progressive than given credit for!!
They are awesome live! They are one of the mainstream bands I like along with Avenged Sevenfold even though I mainly listen to prog. They keep songs unique and interesting. The singer used to be the drummer and still plays some drums live.
Definitely would recommend Fade In/Fade Out from these guys. Its a slowburner but once it gets going its a banger. And the dynamic control in the song is perfect, and lyrics are deep and very introspective
Gonna mention Arcane Roots “if nothing breaks, nothing moves” again. If you like this you will LOVE it! Really awesome hard, math rock band that love to experiment, especially with their newer albums.
if you want experimental try Enter Shikari. I can guarantee nothing besides every song being incredibly different from each other but still distinctly "Shikari". I can't even tell you the genera since they're so variable, you can get a song with stright screaming through the whole thing to an orchestra with no lyrics. they are a band that the average listener could be either ok with or think you're praising the devil. Enter Shikari will blend sounds you never would have thought possible
Cool thing about this band, if I remember right, the lead singer was originally the drummer. Something happened with the first singer, quit, fired, I can't remember, but than he replaces him and they skyrocketed
This Is The Time is definitely one of their most popular songs, although I wouldn’t say the heaviest. I think you gotta go with Ripping Me Apart, Christ Copyright, Don’t Stop, or The Matthew Effect
I Would suggest Christ Copyright next! Amazing tune that i think will be right up your alley. More technical and High paced than the Two you have heard so far
Hey man, I think I remember you saying during a review of DGD's Calentamiento Global you had hispanic or latino heritage. Well, I'm going to shamelessly pander to that fact by recommending Spanish-speaking metal bands: Somas Cure - Ceniza or DESKATO - Cada Vez I think it'd be a really good idea to feature more international and non-english speaking music on your channel
I agree, those variations helped to keep things interesting here and there, reminded me a bit of Sleep Token and Dayshell. Intro seemed a bit too long for my taste Btw. my band Abyss Above have released a new music video for a song "Voidwalker" that is built exactly out of those small variations, it has decent low pitched guitars and the breakdown won't disappoint you!
I seriously wish I could take those 4 A chords before the last chorus, and make it louder. It isn't loud enough. Ever. for me at least. But I'd say a good song to check out is Fade in/Fade out. Their best song imo, next to jenny. lyrical content-wise seriously... that CH-CHUNK CH-CHUNK could make someone spontaneously bust a nut
Also.. That band.. that album.. They recorded it themselves.. They moved into a fucking house together and basically turned the whole thing into a self built studio and spent like 2 years just working on this album.. It fucking shows..
Let em burn, ripping me apart, christ copyright, god went north, etc. You need to get some twelve foot ninja on here my dude! Try deluge or point of you or sick
I gotta tell you man.. This album in full is fucking amazing!!!! Especially through a decent set of headphones.. there is soo much going on.. Also If you have ever watched someone you care about die in a hospital.. Think twice about listening to their song "God Went North" because it will straight bring you to tears.. It's about him watching his mother die in a hospital bed.. Which i've watched twice.. I can hardly listen to the damn song.. But it's fucking great..
Have you listened to starset before? they are like nothing more with the experimental side. Some heavy tracks like bringing it down and telekinetic would be great starts!
You should do nothing more fade in fade out it’s the modern day version of cats in the cradle the whole circle of life if you have a father or if your a dad that has a son this song will fuck you up
“Let em burn” and “god went north” are absolute must listens
Agreed
God Went North got me through my mom passing from cancer since he wrote the song about his own mother passing from cancer. Definitely worth a listen
I get so many chills with god went north. It's great
@@tobygarrison7425 God Went North makes me fucking cry every time I hear it.. Because I watched my mother die also from Cancer and my aunt die in a similar fashion.. And he literally word for word nails describing that experience.. It's insane..
This is one of my favorites but Mr. MTV is an absolute BANGER!!
You should check out “God Went North” by them. Very emotional and the song is extremely unique in sound and structure
Fade in/Fade out is also beautiful
Too sad
The vocalist used to be the drummer and you can tell from the cadence that you talked about. He has a very rythmic style to his vocals, especially in certain sections of songs
I definitely recommend Fade in/Fade out by these guys. It's such an emotional song but is so good. Definitely check it out sometime!
Man that song...cuts suuuper deep. I sent it to my dad, the message he sent to me afterwards brought more tears than the song.
I found that song about a week after my dad passed away and he would of loved it I still have trouble not crying every time I hear it
He's doing it soon, I put it on a poll and it won :)
Yeah…makes me cry every time…
My feelings towards that song are "This is amazing, I never want to hear it again". But I always come back for more in the end
Can't believe that no ones recommending Don't Stop by them, awesome track. Shows another side to what they can do
Jonny playing the drums during that breakdown is amazing! What a great band!
The guitar tuning is D Standard with the lowest string tuned to A. Bands like Mastodon and Periphery use this tuning a lot.
Also Alter Bridge.
One of the best alt tunings imo. Songs like March Of The Fire Ants, Mother Puncher, Spectrelight, and Prayer Position showcase it really well.
This song resembles so much one of my favorites - Mutiny Within.
It is refered to as dropped A not to be confused with drop A
I absolutely love this band! Really forward thinking and sonically/lyrically unique, and I love that you checked this song out. I've been praising this band for like 3-4 years and it's amazing to see the positive feedback on them
I think more people should react to "Don't Stop." That track is a fucking banger, and it has the singer of Papa Roach in it
Agree! Im surprised so few have reacted to it.
"fucking banger"
and
"it has the lead singer of papa roach in it"
Completely cancels each other out btw LMFAO

I'll be seeing them may 3rd for my first time. Wage War is the headliner but I'm more pumped for NM.
This could be one of the best modern rock songs in the past decade 🤘 not to mention it’s even better live with the scorpion tail after it
now we're talking
nothing more is such an amazing band
keep on digging
it's worth it
Great reaction my dude! Honestly, any of their songs are worth listening to. Great band their acoustic stuff is incredible the lead singers voice is amazing on those. Try Mr . MTV another great tune
Great band. Christ copyright is an awesome tune
Second this
Third this!
Jesse Hartwell got that right it is awesome 😎
I think this is heavier than this is the time
Yes!
Nothing More and Starset are my favorite bands in rock atm. Everyone is already recommending great Nothing More songs, so if you want to checkout Starset, Bringing It Down is a great song, and is one of their heaviest since you like metal.
Saw these guys at Rockfest a couple years ago and damn do they put on an awesome show
Mr. MTV has an interesting message similar to Hansha from OAA. Really good song instrumentally as well. Nothing More is just the definitive rock band of this decade

Amazing band
Finally xD welcome aboard the NM train bro! next up Nothing More - Don't Stop feat Jacoby Shaddix (from paparoach) the song bangs man!
You would absolutely love seeing them play "burn the witch" live
Great song! These guys know how to write a very interesting rock song with interesting structures and little details, as well as cool riffs.

This song hits my heart. The lyrics hit but the whole song is just phenomenal
Whoever said this was their heaviest track is capping out of their minds
Let Em Burn and Fade In/Fade Out are definitely two must listens!!
Trust me when I say, you gotta check out their performance at the 2017 APMA’s. Legit one of the coolest live performances you will watch from this band
i fucking LOOVE these kids. It's an awful shame that they are so underrated. Their music deserves to be heard and their videos seen by the world
Nothing More - Fade In/Fade Out or God Went North are beautiful songs by them. I would reccomend reviewing the lyrics a little more with this band. It adds so much to the song. Great reaction!!
Revisiting this, BRO could you imagine a vocal collab with this dude and Chester?
this song reminds me of Fire From the Gods, heavy guitars, really impressive clean singing
Dont even save their songs for reaction videos because all 3 of their albums are pure gold that you should binge on your own time
I love this song!!! Great reaction!
There's a really cool "acoustic" live version out there of this song you should check out
Love this band. This whole cd is amazing.
This band is so fucking good. This song and Jenny are my faves
Definitely would recommend Fade In/Fade Out from these guys. Its a slowburner but once it gets going its a banger. And the dynamic control in the song is perfect, and lyrics are deep and very introspective

Awesome idea
Oh and next one to check out if you haven’t already, FADE IN / FADE OUT. Tear jerker af lol
Cool thing about this band, if I remember right, the lead singer was originally the drummer. Something happened with the first singer, quit, fired, I can't remember, but than he replaces him and they skyrocketed
Their song Salem from the first album they have is probably one of my favorites. Live version is a absolute banger.
I love this band. Nothing but bangers
Gotta agree with everyone on "God went north" Hits you hard in the feels... Rip Mom
This Is The Time is definitely one of their most popular songs, although I wouldn’t say the heaviest. I think you gotta go with Ripping Me Apart, Christ Copyright, Don’t Stop, or The Matthew Effect
Take a Bullet is heavy as well
More people need to hear Nothing More! There top notch shit🤘🤘
Saw these guys live in fresno california along with papa roach and escape the fate!! They were fucking amazing and so much heavier
One of my favourite bands ever. This ID definitely not their heaviest song, but of their more known songs it is
I Would suggest Christ Copyright next! Amazing tune that i think will be right up your alley. More technical and High paced than the Two you have heard so far
check out the new Our Last Night song Bronze Serpent! Amazing!
Great band! I think the next one should be ''If I Were''
God Went North is a must
Fade in/fade out Nothing More
Hey mate, Nothing More is going to be dropping a new album this year. I'd love to see you react to it when it drops!
Hey man, I think I remember you saying during a review of DGD's Calentamiento Global you had hispanic or latino heritage. Well, I'm going to shamelessly pander to that fact by recommending Spanish-speaking metal bands:
Somas Cure - Ceniza or
DESKATO - Cada Vez

"Sex & Lies" by Nothing More is my dirty little secret. Heavy, catchy and just to the point.
your hair has grown out sick!
Their older stuff is good too like Friendly Fire. Great band!
Along with Nothing More I love Badflower, Falling in Reverse, and Avatar. Not sure how much you already might have reacted to.
Ripping me apart by Nothing more is a BANGER
That whole album is amazing.
Like everyone has said, 'God Went North' is a great one. Seriously heavy
Still one of my favorite songs by them
You need to do their song don't stop feat jacoby from papa roach!!!
Fade in/fade out is my favorite song from them
Fade in/Fade out is a must from them and God went North are probably there two most emotional songs
Check out some Boston Manor. They're a UK punk band....pretty interesting for sure
This song is spilt into 2 song the beginning is called ocean floor then it kicks into this is the time
This is still probably my favorite song by them, close contenders are Jenny and God Went North.
I agree, those variations helped to keep things interesting here and there, reminded me a bit of Sleep Token and Dayshell. Intro seemed a bit too long for my taste
Btw. my band Abyss Above have released a new music video for a song "Voidwalker" that is built exactly out of those small variations, it has decent low pitched guitars and the breakdown won't disappoint you!
The intro was actually the intro to the album. It’s a separate track, but they combined them for the music video!
This type of rock is my shit! You should check out Karnivool and Dead Letter Circus!
sadly the masses do not know of these bands. Karnivool is sooo amazing and I have really liked everything I have heard from Dead Letter Circus
I seriously wish I could take those 4 A chords before the last chorus, and make it louder. It isn't loud enough. Ever. for me at least. But I'd say a good song to check out is Fade in/Fade out. Their best song imo, next to jenny. lyrical content-wise

react to black tongue - i'm so tired of sighing, please lord let it be night
Christ Copyright is definitely their heaviest song. You should give that one a shot next.
Breakdown of Sanity - Traces
So I thought This was they’re heaviest song till I heard Christ copyright that should be you’re next reaction to them.
Fair to Midland- Dance of the Manatee
I absolutely love this song but I think Take a Bullet’s their heaviest track, at least until Turn it Up Like came out
