You should contact the Utah Attorney General and file a complaint against this company. In my experience when the Attorney General gets involved companies pucker up real fast and you get your money back. When the Attorney General asks what will resolve the problem you say full restitution of money spent. Hopefully you get your money back
Good thinking. Its alot easier to get ahold of the uppers than people think. Letters can accomplish alot these days
So if its a FLY BY SHOP full of ILLEGALS whos gonna pay???
Man, it's so cool seeing your boys in the shop, working along side you. My dad was a geologist. I had to lick rocks to identify minerals. Lol
😂😂😂😂
@FabRats Jace, I hope all the thank yous and you're a great dad came out off camera, since it wasn't on camera :P because your dad is hooking you up left right and center man!
Jace, you are so blessed to have Paul as your father. There are so many young men that would love to be able to work and share with a dad like yours!! 😉🙏
I enjoy your content so much. Thanks for everything. HOWEVER, I lost my first wife in a car accident because we weren't wearing seat belts. Strap in, fellas. You're all too special to be buried because you didn't.
I'm sorry for your loss. I used to be a volunteer firefighter in a rural county. I've seen lots of wrecks that seat belts have/would saved lives. I've seen a few pretty bad ones where not wearing them saved lives. One stands out where the guy having the seat reclined way back saved his life. Ran off the road, the car flipped 90 degrees, and hit a big oak tree on the roof so hard the engine and trans were 30 feet up in the woods. There was just enough room for him and the leaned back seat. Between the roof and the floor. Seat belts do save lives, but not always. When God calls you home, there is not much anything anyone can do about it. It's not fair. It sucks and hurts like hell. We carry their memory and trust in the bigger plan He has for us.
@@alexduke5402 off-roading its usually a no no because you want to be able to ditch quick but then also why the need for a cage if your not using a harness
@@pjbklkare you saying seatbelts are a no no while off-roading!? 😅
Yeah I disagree with that statement. Between being inside a steel box rolling over, or outside of it trying to get away from it in a split second before I become Wiley Coyote? I'll take my chances inside.
Yeah, I've been in a rolled car - the seatbelt keeping me in my seat probably saved a serious neck injury, maybe worse.
The disappointment in Jace's face...realizing the parts were incorrect....I felt that...been there....multiple times.... It sucks...
I think you should shame the crappy transmission repair shop... save people from going through what you ended up going through... I HATE shops / technicians that do shoddy work!!!!
Need to take legal action against that transmission shop. No telling how many people they are ripping off.
Absolutely sue them to protect others.
At least they didn't assault Paul and hold him hostage (see BBB rating). That's gotta be worth something, eh?
And Paul hasn't called them out by name on the channel 🗿👽🗿👽🗿
@@marklar7551 He let it slip out once.
They have bad ratings on google. 😂
So wonderful to see family working together! Congratulations Paul and Michelle! You have raised some fine young men!
That trans shop could have really helped their business grow if they had done right on FabRats' transmissions, but crooked people are not forward thinkers. They are all about the quick buck now.
I got tired of wasting time and money on bad work. Now I rebuild my own transmissions. Way better off not relying on hackers.
some people can't or don't know or don't want to .
"Never attribute malice to that which can be easily explained away by stup^dity."
These companies like to hire guys for $8 an hour and think they can let them work unsupervised and end up with a good product. That's not how life works.
The Captain Morgan commercials from the 90's and early 2000's were absolutely hilarious. LOL great Throwback !!
Jace is looking to get pulled over with those headlights. I used to have the very same ones and every time I drove through Utah the Highway Patrol would stop me for the smoked lenses. I got tired of having my time wasted so I switched back to the factory assemblies.
Action Transmission in Provo Paul , I've never herd of a transmission they have build that was worth a crap. Don't like bashing on a business but they have earned it.
He said the name of the company in the video and it wasn't action unless prtc changed their name.

Jace, you ordering the wrong lights is the universe's way of saying not to run that style of lights!
Great advice on cleaning or replacing the trans cooler.... Even if you replace the trans cooler you still have to clean the lines... That little bit of free advice will save a DYI mechanic thousands in heart break..... ALWAYS FLUSH YOUR TRANS COOLER AND LINES... You gave invaluable free advice...
& on newer vehicles you have to remove the bypass valve or it will still hold debris in lines.
Dang, the transmission curse strikes again. You and Rory need to use Velcro, will make the swaps faster!😂
I've never heard of this transmission company you call velcro, where are they located 😜
The look on your face when she kicked down and shifted. That’s the joy you get working on vehicles. Pure Happiness. Great video.
Bravo 👏 for rasing such competent grounded & civil young men.
They'll go far in life, great job Michelle and Paul.
It's a great feeling to be working with your dad, and also with your kids. I've been lucky enough to have had both!! Great video!
I've figured out the trans problem. You've been putting a transfer case in place of the torque converter 😂
05:34 "One PRTC Built Junk Transmission"
Not just one!! 5 ! Because it's PAUL AND FAB RATS' RUG RATS GROWING UP AND TAKING PAUL TO "FLATTEN THE HILLS" and " STRAIGHTEN THE CURVES......."
There are so many lousy transmission builders today its hard to find a good one!
Best of luck on this one
Gearstar is the Best
I worked at a radiator shop in the 90s. The good transmission shops in town would change the transmission coolers. Cut the cooler apart and look at the inside. You would change it too.😃
Hahahaha, tell Jace to remember, GMC is professional grade!👍
Garage made Chevrolet 💯😂 GMC
My dad use to work for TipTop, he helped Rick build that shop from a single bay grease shack to the empire it is today.
My dad was the only builder he had for 10 yrs.
If it wasnt for his teachings I would be spending thousands on my builds lol
I think that company needs to reimburse you 3 fold 🤬
😂you know that ain't happening.
I'm tellin' you paul. Hire yourself a transguy and add transmission specialist to you Fabrication business.
You'll be thousands ahead.
Paul you should look into Randy's Transmission. He is top notch, you will never see customer service like his.
Good morning seeing Paul working with both sons is a great thing. One of the things I love about this channel the true family environment.
Wow ! the Young 'uns are growing up ! Don't blink, Man...... It'll be GrandPa Paul before you know it.
in case your missing a 3/8 universal.. you'll see it at 14:38 .. doubt it's still laying there but it WAS.. Great Video, can't start my sunday's until i've got my FabRats video in.. thanks..
Awesome video when the boys work together! Absolutely love it! Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
Your kids are bless to have a dad like you . I can remember my first transmission change . My oldest brother tried to explain everything to me without getting under my 1974 chevy truck . At seventeen I and I alone took out and put in a transmission all by myself . I take that back . After I got the transmission up ready to put on the alignment pins my oldest brother came up and helped me put one bolt in it to hold it in place . All outside in a gravel driveway with it blocked up slightly so I could get the transmissions slid in and out . I learned don't be afraid , it was broke before you started so you can't make it worse . But you can make it better .lol get dirty or greasy , you are water resistant and can be cleaned .🤔😂🤣😭
👍thx Paul , you have some good Boys Hard working ❤
I've been using that trans cleaner for 24yrs, it's the best 👌
Cheers from Northern Sweden!
THE OLE MAN AND HIS BOY ( Young man ) . MAKES YAH.FEEL GOOD . DONT IT . BOTH SMILING LIKE A POSSUM IN A PERSIMMONS PATCH . RIGHT ON !
Smiling like a mule eating briars.
Right on !
Morning from Japan Gang!
Bet he is super happy to have that back on the road. One out of two is pretty good. More people would go to Vegas if those were the odds. Lol
Dakota sounds so good. Nice job on the exhaust, Paul.
If i recall...Wasn't your motto "we do it right cause we do it twice"
It's "we do it nice, 'cause we do it twice". But in case of the transmission issues it were way more than twice.
They have done it 5 times because of that shop and miscommunication!
I am loving this as a family so much better then when you were rushing to build stuff. 😊😊😊😊😊
I'm guessing it turned out to be a very early version of the yet to be invented Trans Galactic space buggy first flown by Mary Jacobi McFlungebucket during the inaugural Mars-itarod race to celebrate the first Starspukes on Mars.
Jace learned to never trust your parts manager. Great episode, seeing Paul and his sons working well together on one of their trucks gives me hope for the future.
"They're fun..." That's me after being under my jeep all day, haha!
Smoked lights always look stupid. Why would you darken lights?
Lol it dosent darken the light.
Wow
@@stuartpickles6907 Wow. LOL
@@stuartpickles6907 That is what tint means.
Thanx Sharing your experience and knowledge with us
Have a Great Day 👍
Someone needs to incorporate Velcro connectors on transmissions. I watch all the Utah channels and you all spend more time changing transmissions than anything else. Just an observation and a sarcastic solution. Thank you for the great videos!
Paul and family, love the content. Compliment to Michelle ❤. Looking fit. Glad your arm is healing Paul. Great show guys.
Jace is doing great filming
if you are only telling the truth, you can name them. if they give you back your money, If they don't then its alright to let the name slip.
you are a moral guy. don't let them scam you.
Nice job letting the boys do the work! Let them learn
I usually just change the cooler, metal can get stuck anywhere in all those bends inside it..
Glad it worked for you guys 🎉
Love you guys! Keep doing what you're doing
Around the eighteen minute mark, that's a beautiful Utah sunset viewable through the Dakota's back window.
You're a better man than me Paul. If I had been ripped off that bad on that many transmissions I'd be putting that shop on blast. But that's just me Love your content keep em coming!
Folks practice using sest belts. They saved my life when my BMW was impacted by a military ammunition carrier causing it to flip at 100kmh landing on the roof. I walked away with hidden injury to my right hip ( bone broke off the hip socket from the transmission shifting and impacting it) and glass embedded in my forehead. Be safe everyone
Might be a good idea to send one of those young fellows to a school to learn how to build transmissions. Can't say I have had great success with buying a vehicle with an automatic transmission. They run forever once I have them rebuilt except for once in the 1970s.
Hey Paul, when you adjusted the transmission you said "there was to much pressure" What did you adjust exactly?
Thanks for the constant reminders of why standard transmissions are good choices.
I worked at Tip Top transmissions for a little bit. They are probably the best transmission builders in Utah. I have known Ross for over 20 years, and he wouldn't sell you junk.
I'm still in shock that the teenager wanted it quieter. Good call Jace. 🙂
I wrote it once... find transmission master in your country and take repair learning course at his place. Make your transmissions done properly BY YOURSELVE.
Hang in there Jace
You will get right parts and you can work on new truck that has happened to all of us at one time
I feel sorry for you Paul with transmissions
Glad you found someone who knows what they are doing. Paul you're kids have a great work ethic. No matter what they decide to do later in life you should be proud. And I love your Dakota Jace you have made it your own.
Paul, I'd absolutely call that company out. You would be doing your viewers a favor. And it's clear that they aren't going to help you out with this problem.
Good video! Catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊
Jace, don't beat yourself up about the Chevy/GMC order. I have a 2015 Chevy work truck and it has a gazillion different options when ordering parts. I ordered running boards and had to make brackets to mount them. Double cab, extended cab, crew cab, even Chevy can't decide what to call it.
Morning FabRATS Family!!
Can't tell you HOW MUCH I LOVE seeing the boys working in the shop with their Dad🥰
(... great to know Michelle is doing the "Administrative Mom" jobs ... seems she keeps y'all on the straight and narrow!!!)
Shame on the "rip off transmission shop" 😡 !!!
I think you and Chad would be WISE to NOT TRUST the transmission you put in the onX build.... you've been burned with THREE so far. It would be a SHAME to head out on the race and have the fourth fail on you!!!🙀
Safe travels, friends ❤❤

Maybe you'll get your money's worth this time,🤞🙂, lol, great video guys,👍, and thanks for sharing.✌😉
Every Truck in the high school parking lot has tow mirrors LOL😂
I paid 6500.00 to paint my 02 Cummins. 1 year later I can peel it off with finger nail. They told me 2 weeks. As soon as it was taken apart got I'll get it done when it gets done. On the brighter side I have a really cool overlander. Learned a lot from you Rory to get this thing to where it is today. Thanks
Transmissions, the curse of Fab Rats
It is all good and well but there are far too many things on the bike that are no longer available.
I really hope it does not give you issues down the line.
Looking forward to your new adventures.
Maybe wrong video?
The frustration in his eyes when he realized he ordered the wrong headlights,,,,I’ve been there😢
It's a time machine we get to see what Paul was like in years ago. Looks like it's coming along a second time
👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽 nice job guys.. love that truck
Transmission repairs are general maintenance items at Fab Rats
8:10 Donut Media have "cars are pain" shirts, you could use one :D
Thanks for making
😂 cars are fun 🫣i should have been a parts Guy 🤔
The Ford motor oil Drain plug is plastic you mite as well buy a new drain plug pretty cool you can Hook up a shop vacuum to the engine chain the drain plug and not lose any oil out of the engine
With the amount of transmissions you end up fixing you should make another channel and call it fab rats transmission extravaganza xD
And I like the black on the transmission much better than the green😂😂
Saludos Paul a ti y todo tu equipo dese la paz baja California sur mexico
You could always just commit to only using manual transmissions. In my experience, the only thing automatics are good for is going to the grocery store and back. Towing, racing, off-road adventuring and anything that involves being hard on the vehicle, as long as you know HOW to operate a manual, you’ll never have an issue. Ever. Edit: I guess Allison does a decent job on the big truck automatics. Maybe. 😅
Chevy, GMC, Doge, Ford - it's all the same and parts are interchangeable. I've read that somewhere on the Internet so it must be true. 😁😁😁
With the track record of all of your transmission I don’t think I would chance it in the onx. I would worry it will go anywhere on the trail. ❤❤❤
looks like the fallguys rig , thats one cool looking rig you got there young man .
Jace has a beautiful smile!
Smoked the new transmission?
The more I watch the more I see that Paul doesn't know what he's doing half the time. 😄
If it's the same shop that did my transmission in my 99 super duty they are shady as hell I had them rebuild it and when we put it back in it only had one gear and it was reverse I took the truck to sg transmission in Ogden and he rebuilt it again and that truck has been a beast for 6 year's now
Yeah, let's rip apart the new transmission.Because the plug is wrong and void the warranty that's smart👍👍
Jasper transmission and engines cannot be beaten, Have had both tranny and engine in my 97 Silverado for 6 years, and absolutely the best hands down.
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me...
What about 5 times?
Paul you should’ve definitely learn how to rebel transmissions for sure especially how many you go through over time!!! It would definitely save you a ton of money and you wouldn’t have to worry about if someone else is doing the job correctly for you and you wouldn’t have to worry about just throwing money out the window and catching all the money on fire!!! Lol!! They really aren’t that hard to rebuild and a rebuild kit isn’t all that expensive to get for a tranny!!! Just takes a little bit of patience and some unwanted used time!! But it would definitely save a ton of money for sure!!!!
How’s that Colossus transfer case working out? I remember you saying you were going to give that shot but I haven’t heard anything else.
To be safe, and protect your shops reputation, I would replace the trans in the ON-X Jeep. You know it’s going to fail.😢
Good job guys.
🪶💥🤛🏽🫱🏽🫲🏽🤙🏽🖖🏽🤘🏽👍🏽🪶😎✌🏽😋🍨
Thank you guys
I love the Dodge Dakota it looks so fing cool 😎
Its a lot easier to change a clutch than to rebuild an automatic transmission 😂
