Suggestion for any game devs/future game devs that may see this: Generally turn the intensity of a characters emotions up by a few notches. There's something very jarring about listening to a character underreact to a disturbing situation, and it's *way* too common in games. This isn't the most grievous offender, but to use this game as an example; 0:42 isn't good. A panicked, hushed "what the fuck...?" that carried on the preceding shaky breath would have carried the same information, and been so much more...appropriate. Also, don't use more words than is needed. Sometimes speech is meaningless like 5:22
i agree with the suggestions. even the smallest detail can shift how the game is perceived and make you feel either more or less immersed in what the character (and essentially you) is going through. it's not enough making a good looking game and having a solid story, it's also about how that story is being told through words spoken or unspoken and their volume, lack of character's voice as a silent protagonist letting the player convey emotions instead etc.

I love that this game calls it ‘The Outside’, as Lovecraft occasionally did, and I eventually referred to my ‘parallel world’. To this day, I still call it that. I call it ‘the Outside’, or ‘the Outer Dark’, or, sometimes, ‘the Inner Dark’, when I’m being cheeky with my mates, because I believe I accessed it by burrowing too deep into my own mind, where I tripped some kind of switch.
11:12 The painting is something I recognize from somewhere else...Something so very similar to artist's depictions of the Tower of Babel, way back near the beginning of human civilization. I've also seen it in the Agony & Succubus video games, as part of the endgame sequences there. Tower of Babel has historically been connected to Nimrod, a tyrannical king whose name has become more of a personal insult in modern times.

Bro this game looks so fucking amazing and it has me hooked!! Please please give us a part two soon because this, THIS is quality gameplay. This is the kind of commentary I need when someone is playing a horror game, not many channels do it the way IGP does nowadays, only smaller not so popular gaming channels do. Also the story and overall way the game progresses is fucking amazing, like, I may be airheaded sometimes but with each note I try to remember details about it to try and puzzle the story together as quick as I could without any spoilers or the like, figure out moments that were foreshadowed. GOD this game is having the gears in my mind running on maximum speed

So the optical illusion at 21:09 of the dead stump under the water appearing to be the pupil of a giant blue eye was VERY cool. The little thing IGP went to look at was definitely a lure to put the player in position to turn and suddenly see it just the way IGP did. Very clever.
Why I love watching IGP? Because no matter how many scary games he plays, you know you, as the viewer, are gonna get a jump scare whenever he screams like a girl. Keep playing them dude.

I just found IGP this past week and I've been binge watching him in no specific order, just going by the time length of whatever video is suggested to me and what I have time for. So I've seen videos and shorts from 3 years ago to 3 days ago and the one thing that hasn't changed in all this time is his want, need, LOVE of having a light source!!!😂😂😂 No matter the genre of whatever he's playing and/or if he's alone or with others, he NEEDS something, ANYTHING, that illuminates the area he's walking/sitting/exploring/ETC in. 😂😂😂 I laugh so hard every time he starts to go off on his own, or even with someone else, looking around for, (as Skilly calls them), a gashlight/lantern/candle/ETC depending what time period they are in. Sometimes he doesn't even need anything because of how bright it is anyways! I love it! It's like his security blankey, and I don't ever want him to change! 😂🫶
