I don't understand why people hate on him. Whenever he wins he always credits his team immediately. Soft spoken and humble champion. One of the greatest of all time.

There's a sadness throughout, something, I'm not sure what it is. And definitely a lone-wolf, even outsider vibe. He seems to simultaneously reject and crave the group/team mentality of professional bike racing. It's also clear that the tremendous success he's already had is not enough for him. He's a very interesting person. His comment about cyclists being like "independent contractors" was very interesting, as was his explanation about training through climbing despite being a sprinter. He doesn't come off as pompous to me, but rather as a person struggling to make himself understood.

Cyclists are generally loners. That's what attracts them to cycling. It's a solitary occupation. You have a lot of time to think about existence, pain, life, death. A cycling "team" is a loosely bound affiliation of individuals at best. Sure, you pay them enough money and they generally follow the rules, but they can unravel very quickly...

Brian, I think Cav might be showing early signs of Ligma. Hopefully he doesn't, or gets though it safely.

Will always be a legend no matter the idiots having a pop at him say and one of the top 5 sprinters of all time. He tells it straight, you don't get bullshit from him, right or wrong he tells it how he sees it, there's no ulterior motive. You can tell he's obsessed with winning by the way he cleans the coffee maker. Going to be very difficult for him to come back after such a terrible spring and his illness last year. I hope it's not the end of Cav after him being swept up by the broom wagon today.

Javor Georgiev in my observation, which is ad hoc, the quantity of excellent sprinters and the size/ number of lead out trains who want to get their sponsored jersey on television has grown a lot in past 5 years. So it is much harder to fit into the position of having a straight , no contact run at the finish line. More tangled approaches with guys maneuvering like crazy. This suits Sagan actually. He might not be the fastest in purity ( like Gaviria or Kittel ) but he is very adroit in technique and more of a bull in the herd ( like Gronenwagen and Cobrelli ).

If Cav and Roger Hammond retract their accusations of Sagan, Cav will be stripped of the bad luck and win again. Cursed until then.
Sagan reacted to CAv hooking under his handlebars to stay up, not hurt Cav. Anyone saying otherwise is a moron.
Anyone saying Roger Hammond was right to go for the Sagan DQ is insane.
Cavendish, as is, will be remembered for the Sagan DQ just as much as the stage wins and his ego.
