No, that's one of it's best features! Just point it at a kernel and you can run any code like a notebook. No longer do you need to save everything in jupytext format and jupyter format. I only use zed for notebooks now!
ZED you can not open a single file under Linux....if not a member off a folder already selected...with the graphical interface...plenty of nasty bugs....a lot of noise with social media..10 millions us dollar by investors...will be the next to go under....VScode plugins won't be ported to Zed...thousands of them for everything. NO Windows support...sorry lot of developers are using Windows (not always by choice...). If you strictly want a very good editor there is Sublime Text, Emacs (both of them with nodal interface..), Neovim, Notepad++
I switched vs code for Zed. Perfect IDE
How debugging?
I hope it can open images in raw binary representation. How does Zed handle stop codes, null, and non-break spaces?
Phenomenal
Thanks :)
Zed has no Windows client compiled for download. There is no way it can become a VSCode alternative that way.
Main issue with it is it doesn’t support jupyter notebooks
That's actually a feature tbh
Not in a traditional way…
But it supports Python kernels which gets the job done
@l-....-l
how exactly !? Researchers need existing.ipynb support which zed doesn't have yet
