I love videos like this, yours shows a real mastery of the game and great strategy from a top player, and it should be mandatory watching, but to another commenter's point I'm afraid stuff like this mostly doesn't come into play until higher rating. In the 1400-1800 cluster that 90% of players are in (actually 92% acc. drustvar...) games seem mostly won by playing your class well and winning fights. Lots of stomps where one team has 10+ kills and the other has 1-2 because someone's mopping up every teamfight / 1v1 / 2v2. PTFOing is so crucial and at equal MMR the team with better strategy "should" win but so often at lower ranks it comes down to "we suck, go next"
@@19andoverlol this happens at higher ratings too. There will be a lot of completely unwinnable games , especially if you are solo Qing. You just have to try and focus on the winnable ones. I fail to do it often myself. There is a ton of luck in blitz but if you’re extremely unlucky you just have to play more games to balance it out.
If they were gonna go all in on blitz like this, they could have at least tried to make a couple maps specifically for it. They had a full year of unranked blitz to mess around with ideas.
Yet here we are 20 years later and people still don't understand how to spin a flag or get the efc in a group and most the terds still fight in mid like chickens with their heads cut off trying to dps race each other down.
So just for clarification on node-based maps... After I cap a node, how long does an enemy have to cap it away from me before the node goes neutral again??
nice video that you! is there any trick you need to get to the other sides starting base on arathi (like farm or stables) or can you just rush on your mounts on the street?
I might end up making a disc priest guide as it is one of the classes I play. The most important thing I notice healers in bg's fail at is positioning and dispelling. Your dispel key is SUPER important and I see so many healers never press it. Put it on a REALLY easy keybind and watch to dispel things quickly. As far as positioning, it depends on the map but if you ever feel like you aren't really healing anything, you should look to move because you might be in the wrong position.
Great Vid , I don't really agree with the AB strat of going with 3 to mines ? it takes so long to rotate up the hills you're practically cc'ing your team and if they send more to LM BS you lose anyway unless they just stay there @ mine and don't rotate at all ! I believe it;s better to max send one (someone tanky or a rogue to spin and make sure of getting LM BS as you can rotate fast + the rogue can ninja St too . Maybe I'm wrong but it just makes sense to me .
I can see your logic but at higher ratings, a healer and DPS can spin vs that extra 1-2 dps long enough so that you end up losing mines and STILL not getting the base you overloaded. At lower ratings, you might be correct. Especially if you aren't duoing and can't even rely on one healer to make sure a base isn't lost instantly.
I'm genuinely curious on what your opinion is of the most impactful thing that a hunter can be doing on each map to win in low ELO. I am at 1425 rating right now and I have 31 games won and 52 games lost. I am an excellent player in arena as I've stayed in the top 500 players of the 3v3 brackets in both TBC Classic and Cataclysm Classic. I'm currently 1851 in Solo Shuffle and have not yet stabilized so it's likely that I could push for a higher rank. I wanted to enjoy Battleground Blitz, but I'm having a hard time doing so because it seems whatever I try I cannot win. I am not easily irritated, so I don't tilt at all while playing. I'm one who thinks that I can always improve at what I'm doing, so I'm looking for ways to get better. In doing so I came across this excellent video of yours. I'm always playing for the objective and generally have the highest contribution score. I always have the highest damage, usually be a significant margin. I've tried everything from playing an off node and trying to spin as long as possible while others from their team join in and eventually beat me, joining the team fight and training a DPS while cc'ing the healer, joining the team fight and tunneling a healer while cc'ing the other healer and everything in between. I don't lose any 1v1s that I'm in at this ranking because I'm just a better overall player than the others in this bracket. However, if I'm playing an off node the team will lose elsewhere on the map. I thought this might have just been a bad streak at first, but this is now 83 games in. Here's some example screenshots of my general contributions to a game (every game consistently looks like this even when losing): ibb.co/tc6nHd4 and ibb.co/bdL4yZs
Hunter is a pretty high impact class. The biggest thing I can say is being able to adapt on the fly. There will be games where your team is just straight up worse than the other team in a teamfight. You kind of just have to play enough to know when this is the case and when it is, you should play for other objectives and not just team fighting. Also, duoing with a healer you can at least rely on to do basic things is really helpful for climbing out of the trenches.
There are plenty of ways to spin while cc'd. Almost every healer has a way of doing it. Also have trinket for any cc that you don't outplay. The 2 minutes was referring to a dps + a healer spinning 4 people which is very doable in blitz.
Very situational tbh. I will say a common mistake people tend to make is trying to focus healers. As I mentioned MANY times in the vid, healers are TANKYYYY! They are by far the worst targets to hit unless you can instantly kill them in a stun-silence go. Generally, mages, locks, stacking melee. Honestly, targeting is very situational and swapping on defensives is always good.
@@TheBlizzG Technically everything is viable since you're only competing against others of the same spec. However, tank lobbies are hard to find at higher mmr so I wouldnt expect to get too high rated with it quite yet.

@@oliverpanhans6156 the mount is faster to get distances like that than pretty much anything. Especially now that the mw roll flying has been nerfed.
Excellent video! What was the change they made to EOTS? I must have missed it.
They increased the time it takes for the initial bases can be captured. Which makes it much easier to get there and spin before they can cap.

Any tips for getting out of lower rating as a healer, namely disc priest. Or any tips in general. Would love a guide

I feel enlightened, but what does spinning mean? haha
Spinning is a term for attacking someone capping a node and interrupting their cap.

In what universe can a healer spin 3-4 dps for 2mins...you'll get CC'd and get your flag captured from under you in seconds...
