I had my first child on 5-5-2019 . My wife had 4 miscarriages prire to that . First being in 2011 and so on till my little gift from God came into my life and changed everything . I have never known love like this . Anyhow I started singing this song to him everyday and he loves it and all of Nahko Bears music . Connecting with my son on a spiritually lvl has changed my life in every way . Daddy loves you Dryson , more than words could ever say . We love you Nahko . Sending some of that good ass medicine your way brother . Breath in that good ass Prana brotha and I am drunk on that necttor of all that my son means to me . That is one of the most beautiful things I've ever read in my life. First I want to say congratulations and God bless.. being a parent is in my opinion the most beautiful thing anybody can experience. I myself don't have a son. I have five daughters of my own. I grew up raised by a single mother and I have no brothers or sisters. My little girls are my everything. Ages 7, 9, 17, 18 and 20. You could say I'm outnumbered. But that's okay. They've definitely calmed me down. I'm 42 now. I was 21 when I had my first daughter. And I must say.. when I tell you that they've calmed me down that's not an understatement. I was unhinged as a young man. My oldest two daughters love singing the music of nahko.. hearing females saying his music and more often than not they do it together and sometimes they harmonize.. it is the most beautiful thing.. they will not let me record them which is unfortunate I wish that they would. Perhaps someday they will. And if they do.. with their permission I'm going to share it with the world. But anyway.. I'm glad that your child and you have gotten to experience this man's music. There was a time in my life I was a needle using drug addict and my third time in rehab.. I didn't want to be there I didn't care about anything or anybody I just wanted to die.. and then the gondola sessions version of Wash It away came on and.. I've never heard his music prior to that. Halfway through the second verse my head hit that table and I broke down into tears in front of 40 other men. And I didn't care. That was 31 months ago I think. Maybe 32 I don't know. But either way.. his music is lifesaving for some. Thank you for taking the time to read my rant. And again.. congratulations on being a dad. Enjoy it. They get big quickly. Somebody told me that when my oldest daughter was just a week old and I looked at them like okay sure.. whatever you say. Well here we are almost 21 years later.. and believe me when I tell you they get big very quickly enjoy every moment you can. Thanks for reading this. Stay safe and God bless. 🙏

It makes me recall the very first time I ever laid down tobacco at my first moon ceremony. I never heard God ever talk to me like my ancestors and the Creator were that night, and I grew up leading music in a southern baptist church. This song brings me so much peace, and I am so gracious.
