Lovely conditions, John, I can never get enough of Glen Etive and Glencoe and when you have a deep Frost you are basically in heaven. All we need now is plenty of the White stuff, and that truly is the Icing. I look forward to your next light-capturing stop.
The one positive thing about a hard freeze is the opportunity to photograph ice. I've done this a number of times. Love the photos, especially the first one at 1:44.
Love your images of the waterfall and 1000% agree that the ground is best underfoot when it's frozen solid. Those viewpoints are so popular, the ground where people have been is in a terrible state after heavy rain. It's great to see how you go about making great colour and mono images from where so many other people have been. Can't wait to see the next video location and what you create.
What a great video! Beautiful images. The way you pull the rich color tones out of the rocks is fantastic. It enhances the focus on the ice. The final image in BW made a striking contrast with the other photos. A whole different mood! Thank you!
Lovely video John, l enjoy how you find your shots, its amazing what we find when taking the time to look. I always think its not what you see, its how you see it. Thanks again......Alioban ❤
Thanks! I spent 4 hrs in a traffic queue on the M8 between Glasgow and Edinburgh yesterday thanks to the snow! Hoping to get out and capture some images tomorrow though!
@@JohnMcKennaPhotography I think that's why I've kept clear 😂 mud, weddings and all. I've never quite got why wedding/pregnancy shots are taken in wild places - aside from the obvious social media competition
yeh, it confuses me. It was minus 5 as I was making this and the groom looked frozen but the bride was wearing much less than him and didn't seem to notice the cold!
Hi John, Great photos as usual. Iv,e just came across an other photography channel by Les McLuckie landscape photography who you should check out for other waterfalls in the Glasgow area. He has photographed falls that I have never heard of before. Keep up the good work. Cheers Alex.
Hi Alex! I follow Les already. He has a knack for finding some great locations! (I only found the Routin Brig location after watching his video!) Great recommendation!
Another great video John. I thought i had subscribed to your channel as i have watched your video's for quite a while now. I have now subscribed. Definitely a frosty one. Fantastic image's as usual. Catch you on the next one.
Hi John. Great photos. Must have been up there at the same time as my partner saw the wedding shoot, I didn’t get to see it as I was driving. Stayed overnight at signal rock was Baltic in the morning. Managed to get a few good photos. 👍
@ we left about 8.30ish had to get back home to get ready for nightshift. We were parked up on the right hand side think 2nd bay in white sprinter van. Got a reasonable panoramic of the river and mountains with a hint of sunset. Great place.
@@roysingleton5501 I arrived around 8ish, parked up in the first bay and set off down the new path towards the waterfalls. Left again around 11am I think.
@@JohnMcKennaPhotography those waterfalls looked interesting from a distance didn’t have time to check them out. Must have just missed each other. Be interesting if you made a video of the falls.
You could make a soggy crisp packet look special with your perspective on subjects. Another seriously great video from you so thank you for that Sir.
Thanks! I might try the crisp packet idea in a future video!
