    Absolutely stunning or stunnin whichever you prefer. The black and white photographs are beautiful , and the colour ones some of which look to have been oil painted. No matter what the weather all your journeys end with beautiful results so what does that tell you Sir 👍 Tam.

    Fabulous set of images John 😍 Glencoe is such a wild and beautiful place, and by battling the elements, you’ve captured it perfectly.

    Jaw dropping images John a feast for the senses. So glad you didn't end up as part of the falls.
    I was at Glencoe last week on a lovely autumn day, the reflections on Glencoe Lochan and Loch Torran were exceptional.

      Thank you! Glad you had a nice day for it! I was there a week earlier and the weather was perfect then too. The colours are spectacular just now!

    Stunning photos but the hard won black and whites are especially standouts - bravissimo

    Hi John - what a staggering set of images - you have surpassed yourself there. Those from 13.46 onwards especially - the flowing river and the beautiful light that eventually emerged onto the ridge in the distance - wow!! I'd have any one of those on my wall. I love Glen Coe but it can be a frightening place - I recall being in the corrie of Buchaille Etive Mhor climbing for the ridge when a thunderstorm broke - it literally made the ground shake!! We made a hasty exit!! Keep up the good work John - superb, exhilarating, mesmerising stuff! :-)

      Thank you! :)
      A thunderstorm on the Buachaille would have been terrifying! Three of us climbed it back in the 90's going up the curved ridge with little or no experience of climbing or scrambling, no ropes and no idea of what we were doing! We had perfect conditions but I still shudder when I think of it.
      Being up there in a thunderstorm would be scary!!

    Sounds like quite an experience! Getting blown off your feet by the wind-especially on the edge of a waterfall!-is no joke! Glad you weren’t injured. Some of the photos almost look like paintings. Beautiful! Thank you.

    They really do have a painterly feel to them. Good video John.

    Great photo's all round. I watched something from another vlogger about being able to blow out one of colour channels on the histograph because its only a jpeg representation as your shooting in RAW it won't lose the data. I don't think I subscribe to them but if I find it I'll let you know. Glencoe never disappoints but its preferable to live to tell the tale.
    Add one to the tally ..... stunnin'

    Daft question but how do you get from the car park to the waterfall? Tried last week and couldn’t find it 🤦🏻‍♀️ I assume An Torr carpark is the same one but I ended up on the wrong side of the river and the path leading away from it. Where did I go wrong???

    • @JohnMcKennaPhotography
      @JohnMcKennaPhotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, yeh, I started at the An Torr carpark. If you walk back towards the A82, just before the entrance to the car park there is a path leads off to the left before you reach the gate. The path pretty much follows the line of the River as you head towards the Loch Achtriochtan car park. Just over half way between An Torr and Achtriochtan car parks there is a path which leads off the main route down towards the river. That's where I shot from.
      Did you end up on the same side as the Clachaig Inn road? You can shoot the falls from there too, in fact I think the road-side view point is the one most commonly used as it's easier to get to and doesn't involve as much of a walk!

      @@JohnMcKennaPhotography Yes, that’s where I ended up before I gave up in disgust 😂 Will give it another go next time I’m up there 🤞🏼 Thanks
