Colin doing a lot of good things in this season. There is true accountability and self-reflection there. They have an equal partnership in the end and ain't that what we all seek. They both really grew up this season.

Yes, she had it coming. But I enjoy her redemption arc and finally connecting and making peace with Pen. That was so heartwarming.

Colin is so poised and self-assured (calm most of the time). Pen looks like a Botticelli. the whole bed scene THE BIRTH OF VENUS loved it :) I hope Pen is pregnant first hahaha
There are subtle clues in their coming scenes together. She seems to have her hands on her belly quite a lot so that might indicate something maybe? 😁😉
I loved the scene, seemed so real and they showed so much, love that there was no music and they made it look realistic.
Even though I'm a woman I much prefer your reaction to the love scene over most women TH-camrs as well as their followers. Many of them seemed to want to barely talk about it, seemed embarrassed, prudish or just knit picked over every move. They whine about it being awkward and no chemistry and rushed. And I'm like What? No chemistry? What planet do you live on? Nichola and Luke even have insane chemistry off set. And then with the awkrwardness comments. I'm like, everyone is awkward the first time. My god, for women it's painful AF at first for some even for the first few times. I thought the love scene was sweet, well shot and very realistic.
I said the same thing. I loved this season. There was just something about that sex scene that was so pure. I love it.
Yes, they seldom deal with the pain on these shows. I was thinking this might be the issue with Prudence, who does not seem to enjoy sex.
That's what I liked about that scene, they intended it to be awkward as it was their first time, so it turned out to be more cute and funny than hot and steamy. That's why many people may not like it as they aren't used to this kind of sex scene on television, everybody was probably expecting something higher on the raunchiness meter after the carriage scene, which was definitely sexier and they were fully dressed in that scene 😊
@@rinidmoron Exactly. I think people forget what loosing your virginity was like. But not me. It was painful as all get out for the first 3 or 4 times. At least Pen felt pleasure the first time!😅
Lol I don't get the 'no chemistry' comments either. I read a ton of spicy books, not much embarrasses me, but I was like 'y'all need to stahp, this is too much, I shouldn't be here invading your privacy' because THEY HAVE CHEMISTRY.

Loved season 3 and this was a great start to part two. Just watched your full reaction. That intimate scene is probably the best I've ever seen on screen, as it was all about love and intimacy rather than being just a physical thing. I thought it was beautifully done. And Colin standing up for Penelope to her mother was one of the hottest moments in the whole show!

But didn't she lose a lot of weight in the beginning of the book? I feel that taints hos regard for her body a bit, no? Not trash talking the book but a woman writing a woman to only be attractive after she lost quite some weight is not the best look, isn't it?

I think the show did better than the book in showing Penelope’s transformation being one of confidence in her apparel, with the help of the modiste, not losing any weight. The modiste helps Penelope find colors that suited her style and complexion better, just highlighting better her natural beauty ☺️. In the book Colin says to Penelope: “I don’t think you changed,” he said. “At least not very much. But then one day I realized I was seeing something different when I looked at you.” He shrugged. “Maybe I changed. Maybe I grew up.”
There has been some absolutely disgusting discourse online and in the media about Nicola Coughlan’s appearance and body. I defy anyone to watch this episode and see her as anything but totally stunning (as she has always been). I’m a similar size and shape to her and only a couple of years older. Whilst I’ve had no complaints, my chest has certainly not looked like that without some kind of scaffolding involved for about a decade lol
Figuring out the logistics on that chaise... They broke it filming that scene lol.

Eloise really needs to get over herself this episode. First, how can she not see what everyone else sees, that Pen has always loved Colin? Then she gives her that ultimatum at her ENGAGEMENT PARTY, ruining Pen's happy moment - she could've given her until the next day. When is Pen supposed to find a private moment at that event, where she and Colin are the VIPs and everybody's got eyes on them? Upping her stress by mentioning the clock? And then bulldozing over Pen's attempt to tell him WHILE SHE'S CLEARLY HAVING A PANIC ATTACK. Eloise needed a slap this episode.
When you said “we’re gonna kill you in your sleep” 😭😭 for real I don’t get it, like I would agree to the marriage for money and status and then just poison or suffocate him and act all shocked and distraught and figure out an alibi, it wouldn’t be hard to cover up murder back then

Purity…. Giggle. I was surprised to hear, when mom told me that weren’t married yet and didn’t want to wait. That was still no little sin in 1963. What is more, they were caught (not in the act) by her parents and my grandpa was very angry. And my mom was like: „Oh stop that, will you. Papa, you and Mama didn’t wait either until the wedding.“ Yepp granny spilled the beans once. Granny was rather embarrassed: „Hush!“ Poor grandpa his conservative attitude laid on the floor like a bug on his back. He hissed at his wife: „You told her that?“
So much for „back in the day“. It happened a lot and often young couples didn’t mind to get pregnant. The sooner they could make the relationship official the closer they get to own way of life. By the way, my parents recently celebrated their diamond jubilee. Don’t worry I was born more than a year after the wedding. 😏

If Cressida had bothered reading maybe a few books instead of bullying Pen for being bookish, she'd know all about nature's wonders and their slow burning effects on the human body. That oldy mouldy husband of hers wouldn't be around for long. Seriously girl, take a leaf out of Geillis Duncan's book! But that is the staggering difference between Pen (who was unhappy with being a victim so she found and uses her power proactively) and Cressida or Eloise who are too whiny and self-absorbed to take action or even have empathy with others. And that's why Pen is a badass queen. Eloise at least comes around eventually but she was annoying enough on the road back into the pen.

Yeah, the sex scene with Colin and Penelope was too long, and I felt so awkward watching it for some reason. I love them together, though. They have really great chemistry. The scene was just long.
I had the same thoughts watching the mirror scene: am I watching p.orn right now ? We're used to the raunchy scenes in Bridgerton but Kate and Anthony's were the most tasteful. Even with Simon and Daphne I felt like I was intruding in a very personal moment but it still felt sweet and romantic. I don't know what it is with this one but it just felt like bad porn.
