My Bandit Lord save file was corrupted unfortunately. I tried to fix it for 8+ hours using any fix I could find. Nothing seemed to help, the game would still crash even after making a new character. I'm very sorry about this, I enjoyed the Bandit Lord playthrough very much as well! I hope you will enjoy this new series in its place!
I was doing some thinking and what if you did like a Battanian Rebel Leader? 2 handed swords and axes are his weapons of choice, he uses throwing weapons at range. And wages a Guerilla war against the Empire and it's allies? You could give him a pack story like he fought at Nereztes (spelling off I'm sure) Folly but for him the war isn't over. He still wants revenge for the Empire killing his wife and child. And he finds like minded allies to help him in his quest to turn the Empire to ash. I know it's darker than what you are used too and I know you're not a fan of using 2 handed swords and axes in this but I think it would be a really cool idea. I don't have a PC so I have to live through your experiences in this game. And that's just an idea I had.
It seems like there are two factors that make the trade rumor based trading strategy really bad (based on my experience trading a few weeks ago on an earlier patch). First is that the trade rumors are often dead inaccurate, even in towns you just visited. The first few trades you did in this episode ended up barely making money because when you got to the place to sell, the actual sell prices was 40% lower than what was advertised in the rumors. The second issue is that you really quickly push past the demand saturation point if you dump all of the goods in one place. Later in the episode, you were buying things in bulk, then selling in bulk, but for half of the goods sold, the prices sold for were about the same as the price you purchased the goods at. A different strategy is to rely on the high price/low price indicators and just buy and sell as you travel around. Just buy things with green prices, and sell when they are red, and just don't dump so many that the price goes into the neutral range. This worked pretty well for me when I was playing a trader, so it might work out for you. Oh - and always check villages with high value trade goods for bargain prices!
Caravans are great for the over supply issue, they all have 15k+ gold with them, unlike the 1k that villages have. So you can bulk sell to caravans without any price fluctuation
Totally agree. I started by chasing rumors, warband style, and barely made any profit. The rolling buy low/ sell high method you propose works way better
Trade rumors are bad unless you are really close to said town because the chances for another caravan to deliver a load of goods to the location increases the farther away you are. Buying and selling based on average pricing is much more profitable and safer. The rumors just help let you know what region might pay more for those goods.
Couple of tips from someone who made alot of trading mistakes 1. Be wary of trade rumors, they are usually correct but they don't take into account things that have happened since the last time you visited the city. Some other caravan could have sold a bunch and tanked the price 2. Be very careful buying goods at or above median prices because of the previous tip 3. Get horses as cheap as you possibly can. Get mules and sumpter horses for less than 100 gold. They are great because they increase carry capacity and horse trading is extremely lucrative if you scout out settlements in need of horses. 4. Keep an eye out for towns under siege. Once the siege is lifted you can sell goods at huge profits because the town has been consuming all their goods and hasn't been resupplied.
And a suggestion, you probably are aware of this but I still want to say it, don't look at cash difference at rates but to the percantages. Especially if you can buy a lot. buying at 9 and selling at 14 might seem too little. But it's more then %50. And %50 profit from any transaction is a good business. Seeking those kinds of deals instead of expecting a big profit might be good, but it will not be consistent and possibly slow down your trading skill from gaining.
One of the most underrated techniques from any play throughs I've seen, is just like you said. Villages are useful economic spots compared to the original. The prices don't fluctuate as you sell and if you keep returning to villages repeatedly, you can build a nice little money hub for when you buy their cheap goods or need to dump off stuff without a huge drop per item sold. I routinely take an entire stockpile of hogs, sheep or grain, you know whatever their cheap specialty is and never stop making profits in between cities. Depending on what the village is selling and its prosperity, 3-4 good villages in a row can be just as profitable as multiple high denar items in a city.
@Reformist, Glad to see you are using the VARTS Trade Guild Mod. It has been essential to my playthroughs, I would highly recommend using the Summarize CashFlow and Workshop Demystify mods as well to make understanding how your profits stand in the realm, don't forget to check your clan window to see how well your enterprises are doing from time to time. However, I noticed you missed out on the best feature of this mod so far. If you look under the Suggestion Strength section you will see the (++)/(+) and this will be listed throughout the lists of workshops in the encyclopedia providing you with the best workshop to buy in those towns. It takes away a lot of the guesswork and can make a very easy way to ensure your first workshops are most profitable for your clan.
Danustica just got seiged so they have a shortage of everything. Also pay attention to the colours of the costs in the trade screen. The golden rule is buy green and sell red! You also have the trait which highlights which trades would be profitable in green in your inventory
I love the background for the thumbnail, good job! Also love you reformist, been loving you for so many years idek anymore lmao Thanks for the series you are pumping out, makes me happy!

I like to believe that Pelisor never betrayed Barney when he joined the Southern Empire. Instead, he was trying to save Barney from himself. He saw his best friend go from having a code of honor (only executing when absolutely necessary) degrade into an Axe wielding maniac who had no qualms about executing his own father in law. Pelisor couldn't bare watching Barney murder countless innocent lords like Kyroslava and Barneys other companions could, so he fled to the Empire. Too much of a coward to confront Barney, but his heart burdened with sense of Obligation to stop Barney's rampage.
I am so excited for this series and the bandit series. Modding is what made skyrim my favorite game of all time and I'm extremely excited to get into a game like this with infinite modding possibilities and a dedicated community
I also have an Aserai Trading Character... but due to certain circumstances he turned Bandit. You Kuzhait Basterds who were keep robbing my caravans shall remember the Name Aamir Fallah ben Hamdi!!!!
Look into the Aserai Grain Run, Bring hardwood from danustica south and bring grain back north, try to sell the grain right after sieges for extra profit when possible
Maybe Danustica had several sieges, thus shortages of all the goods as caravanas and villager couldnt enter, increasing their price. Saying this, you could profit from war, carry lots of food to sell in cities post sieges at huge prices
A few things. 1: You go from Prisoner screen to the looting screen, then open the Troop tree for leveling. You can level your Troops from the Prisoner screen. 2: When picking Perks, you always mouse over both skills and read them both by mousing over them, but if you pick either one, it opens a window that pops up a description of both skills before you have to pick one. So it would save you time and be easier to read if you just click one and then read, rather than mousing over each one individually. You can also get trade rumors in taverns.
I can only think of one blunt equipped troop.. the imperial sergeant. Doesn’t have a shield. Would be fun but very weak. There is a blunt pole arm you can craft though and there are blunt arrows. Maybe a party of blunt wielding/firing companions?
@@markstanbrook5578 maybe, make a squad of blunt force. I am an old Warbander, and i don't have good enough pc for bannerlord, so i don't know all the troops yet. Doesn't bannerlord have troops like manhunters (slave drivers and etc.) to encounter and to recruit?
Recently did a trading play through. I found that going to 3-6 towns in close proximity can give you huge profits if you notice the cheap goods in certain towns. For example In Jalmaris furs sell for 80ish which can then be sold in ortysia (next town over) for 120+. Another good strategy is to trade in war zones supplying newly conquered towns with food supplies that will sell for a lot (like grain for 20+). Loving the series so far!
I know you probably wont see this on the old video but massive tip I learned randomly on reddit for trading: If you intercept caravans very close to the city with particularly higher trade value for an item you're trying to sell, if you sell to the caravan the price never goes lower as you're selling because it hasn't affected the town;s stock yet. On the other side of the coin if you sell to one of the towns villages it also effects the town's sell price immediately
(posting at the beginning of the video) I recommend buying in the source villages. They usually have big stocks of their products and the price doesn't change regardless of how much you buy or sell (unlike in cities where the price changes according to the user's demand). You can make a killing buying dates in the Aserai (30-40 denars) lands and then going up to the Northern Empire in the winter and reselling them in the villages for 3 or even 5 times the price (around 160 denars is the highest I've seen). Trading in cities works fine though. I've had a bit of experience with trading since I started my character out as one, though I have to mention that I couldn't help but grow and lead an army after I got a settlement. It's kind of an inevitability (maybe). Also, smelting weapons from looters and such and selling the materials is better than selling the weapons. Selling minerals is super profitable.
hey man for carry capacity just stop villagers when they leave city. Talk to them before they get back to their village and the will sell you work horses for pennies, usually around six or seven quid each. The Aseri tend to have the cheapest.
Livestock/furs in north. Dates/horses in south. Setting up a trade route based on those has been really good for me. You also flip ton of other things along your trade route once you learn all prices. Also caravans, sell to caravans whenever you can for good profit since the caravans dont use dynamic pricing like towns do. Happy trading!
There is already a big mod for bannerlord out if you want to check it out it’s called calradia at war and it adds factions with custom troops but as far as I’m aware I don’t think there is custom models yet
Oh dang that sucks. Was enjoying that bandit run a ton. BUT DO NOT FEAR. For i know it will get fixed one day and we'll see it again. Excited for this new series. Hope you are staying safe out there!
The reason why Danustica has such high prices is because it got conquered and reconquered several times. Each time a city is conquered it basicly deminishes all of it's supplies and everything is in low supply and high demand. In a realistic stand point it does make sense since if a city is conquered it will most likely be plundered.
Today I crafted a pole arm with >300 reach (and rolled 3 green stats). It looks amusing. The 210 reach 2h sword is more ludicrous. But for sheer stupidity you should see the 130 reach throwing axes that drag along the ground, slung as they are from the hip. I spent freaking HOURS unlocking parts!!
I've found its best to take advantage of those huge price differences in trading right away because before too long they level off, at least prior to the last major patch when I was trading.
I'm excited to see if Pelisor can achieve his destiny of total Calradian economic domination. By the way, did you know you can purchase fiefs? Idk if they fixed this, but I've heard that crazy wealthy merchant characters have been able to achieve total unification of Calradia simply by purchasing fiefs through the "I have an idea that may benefit us both" interaction or "bribing" lords to join their factions. Let's see what kind of shenanigans Pelisor can pull off!
Prices at villages are static. They only change at cities. If you can buy big ticket items like silver ore at a village you can then sell it generally for a decent profit at a city that isn’t connected to it.
After some extensive search of the family tree it was concluded that Palisor was Barney´s Cousin from his mother side , but each other never knew that so it was fate that bounded that day. And now Palisor in some kind of inspiration took initiative started his own trading guild company, and nobody expected that in the future that Palisor would become remembered as a Legendary Trader. Note: Palisor should be using a Crossbow or Throwing Weapons, because they are the least used in the other playthroughs.
Just thought of something. When you create a faction, you could make it a Merchant Republic. And you could have Pelisor as its Doge with a role play aspect that your family has been set has head of state until Calradia is united.
@ReformtisTM I imagine some kind of conversation like this while Pelesor traded with Danustica while it was beeing sieged. Danustica Sergant: 'We're getting sieged! They wan't our cheese.... again....!Pepare the defences! Wait is that ... yes he is... what a mad man trading just before a Battle sitting there between the fronts. Quick soldier go buy all oil from Pelisor you can get and olives too!' Soldier: 'Olives Sir?' Sergant: 'Yes olives too. Now go soldier!'
Sad to hear about the lost playthrough but I also was really interested in a trader playthrough. I really wanted to see someone use some Aserai units so I'm really excited. Keep up the good work.
You should, absolutingly first thing when you enter a town, take a look at what it produce in the trade tab. For do that you have to put your cursor over the hammer icon over the trade goods in trade. For some reason, almost any town do not produce the raw resource needed at their workshop: the best routes are the ones that refill them
As a trader, I think you should use crossbow, a shield and a spear. You will have to rely very much on your men to do the killing. You will just have to provide support.
I was so into bandit lord .. but Pelisor is going to be a good idea of a character, starting in a village just to rule the world of Calradia. Pelisor always pays is debts.
Thats not a mod at 5:30, thats a perk you get straight away. It marks the trade items with green for underpriced, yellow for average and red for overpriced. So buy green and sell red, simples
I'm guessing that "PELISOR" got auto-corrected to pelicans on your phone? Ok just got to the part where he is talking about Pelicans so maybe that was not an auto-correct issue you had!
I think all the towns that been recently conquer damage their economy .soo goods are in high demand.i have notice that when I do a siege after I conquered it I resupply it again and make a lot of money .
come on, Horses are a trade good! If you see them for cheap , buy all you can. buying steppe horses in khuzait territory and selling them in the empire allows you to trade a huge amount of raw materials as well, because you don't have to care about capacity
Idk if you knew, but when you finish with putting skill points into riding and trade, put them intoscout as higher scout skill as some scout perks give you movement speed on map
Do you think they should increase the amount of workshops you can purchase? I do and you probably know this that you can increase your armies cohesion by looking at the army management screen and press the plus symbol at the top of the page.
My Bandit Lord save file was corrupted unfortunately. I tried to fix it for 8+ hours using any fix I could find. Nothing seemed to help, the game would still crash even after making a new character.

Thank you for your amazing content
I like to imagine Pelisor just loitering outside the various sieges of Danustica, "Uhh, ex... Excuse me! I have grapes!! Grape to sell!"
Well you know all those troops that keep sieging need to eat something!
When making your own faction make sure every clan is rich and buy tons of caravans and call yourself the trading empire. That would be awesome.
Cool idea
East Calradia Trading Company?
East Calradia Company

Victor Rampen like a Venice-type, only really own one city and a bunch of castles, but they’re so rich

That sounds like the destiny that which awaits a worthy individual like Pelisor the Wholesaler, the Moneygrabber and the grapeseller to unveil it.
The Aserai horses sell for a lot over around Vlandia; they can be bought for 600 and sold for up to 2000.
The King Has Returned!
The Meme lives on! ♥
Keep up the great content!
Quick soldier go buy all oil from Pelisor you can get and olives too!'
Soldier: 'Olives Sir?'
Sergant: 'Yes olives too. Now go soldier!'
33:57 Pelisor proving he is a legend
Sad to hear about the lost playthrough but I also was really interested in a trader playthrough. I really wanted to see someone use some Aserai units so I'm really excited. Keep up the good work.
You should, absolutingly first thing when you enter a town, take a look at what it produce in the trade tab. For do that you have to put your cursor over the hammer icon over the trade goods in trade. For some reason, almost any town do not produce the raw resource needed at their workshop: the best routes are the ones that refill them
The legend begins!
You should consider hiring mercs from the taverns as well as having your regular aserai troops.
As a trader, I think you should use crossbow, a shield and a spear. You will have to rely very much on your men to do the killing. You will just have to provide support.
Pelisor, the Man, the myth, the legend
I was so into bandit lord .. but Pelisor is going to be a good idea of a character, starting in a village just to rule the world of Calradia.
Pelisor always pays is debts.
The legend is back
Thats not a mod at 5:30, thats a perk you get straight away. It marks the trade items with green for underpriced, yellow for average and red for overpriced. So buy green and sell red, simples
Bandit lord will be missed ... 😥😪
Looking forward to Pelsor adventures.
pelicans house of commerce. that should be your clans / kingdoms name :P
Yup that's true.. One time I see towns who only 4 tradeable types of good at one point and grain sells at 45++ 😂😂
i heart this playthough as long as you can promise us some fian champ spam lit
34:00
Pelisor with the overhead block, PogChamp!
come on, Horses are a trade good!
If you see them for cheap , buy all you can. buying steppe horses in khuzait territory and selling them in the empire allows you to trade a huge amount of raw materials as well, because you don't have to care about capacity
He'll learn. Not everybody has trading genes and they have a learning curve. That's what makes the game great.
Does anyone know why, in the second episode, the value numbers for items turn R/Y/G instead of having to hover over it to see this info?
As we've witnessed in this video, cheap isn't always worst and expensive isn't always best. Remember this...
Idk if you knew, but when you finish with putting skill points into riding and trade, put them intoscout as higher scout skill as some scout perks give you movement speed on map
Pelisor the Conquerer!
I believe the reason Danustica is paying so much, is because of all the sieges dwindling their supplies to nothing.
If you buy from villages and supply to cities you'll be making profits more steadily. Village prices don't rise as they sell to you.
Pottery underrated af in this episode. Pottery in most towns buyable for like 50 and sellable for like 100-150+ (nohate)
😳🙏 excited
Do you think they should increase the amount of workshops you can purchase? I do and you probably know this that you can increase your armies cohesion by looking at the army management screen and press the plus symbol at the top of the page.
