Belts are not supposed to sprayed with these. This will increase sag sooner and life of the belt will reduce. Kindly don't do things manufacturers don't recommend
My Ather has completed 28,000 kms, and I haven't changed the belt yet. At the Ather service center, they use WD-40 on the belts, but I prefer using silicone spray, specifically designed for belts. In fact, using silicone spray won't cause any issues
it can actually increase the belt's lifespan.
@@ridernithingowda Belts are technically capable of running a lakh KM, without needing to change and without any maintenance. Also I'm okay for Silicone spray. Just note WD40 acts detrimental on rubber and is not to be applied on Belts. If service centre themselves are doing it, then they're causing to it's life for a temporary smoothness feel.
