It's also telling when people say Jalen and Sengun haven't played well together. The quickest way to admit you haven't been watching them the last three years.

My predictions: I think Reed goes to Houston (maybe at #2) and they create a 3-guard rotation of Amen, Cam & Reed with Sengun it makes a Core of 4 for the long-term future.
This gives the Rockets 3 playmakers, an in & out game, great defensive backcourt, shooter/bucket (Cam) and a sharpshooter (Reed), plus Amen & Cam's size (who can also play some SF) will protect Reed on D and Reed will allow them to play with smallball guards. They will Plug-n-Play the wings over the next 15 years around this Core of 4.
JG is traded by deadline/next summer for mainly future draft picks (2028-2031). There will be no big player acquisitions this summer as they protect their cap to resign the young Core.

      This would be ideal.

if jg plays like he did after all star break, their is absolutely no way they trade him

@@Stewpiddddd I know...but it will be a good problem to have. The way I see it is that they cannot keep all the young core and they will have to move at least one or two of them. The Rockets are committed to Sengun & Amen and they should, plus they will be expensive resigns...Of the Core 4 I talked about Cam has 3 cheap years on his rookie and Reed will have 4 years at about the same $$ as JG was. I see all these players getting big contracts. (BTW, If they do not get Reed, then they most likely keep JG until they find a playmaking guard they like).
JG will get a big contract too, just not with the Rockets even if he plays insanely good. The only way that the Rockets choose JG over Cam at SG is if Cam is a bust this year (don't count on it). Cam has something JG will never have and that is size and as of now he is a much more efficient bucket, plus JG has immaturity problems that are a red-flag to the Rockets (he is the last of the immature bunch that they had (Wood, KPJ & Christopher).
Even if JG get closer to his potential or reaches it then the Rocket win...They will get more in return and he will be easier to trade for what the Rockets will want...which will be future 1st round draft picks down the road 2028-2031. This will be vital to keep bringing in younger talent for the Core of 4...This is Stone's MO

Amen's play after the Sengun injury might lessen their desire for a big amn. If you watch his play from the dunker's(on offense) spot he could produce some viable offense & defense above the rim. I know he's not big but he was very effective. They need shooting. I think last year Udoka concentrated on defense. This year its on spacing and shooting. I think you will see Sengun away from the basket more and he WILL be taking threes on high volume. We have to see what the percentage is going to be - his free throw shooting is decent so he should be able to shoot from the outside a little. Other than the MLE I don't think they do much until the trade deadline. Rumors say they may use the MLE on Eric Gordon - If they do you might see some veterans like Tate or Landale traded for future draft picks(maybe an athletic big). Remember that Tari Eason was hurt most of last year - he may be able to do like Amen did and mitigate the supposed defensive issue. Amen, Tari, and Cam need playing time. I wouldn't be surprised if Dillon Brooks is moved at the trade deadline. You are correct that they can(and should) just chill and see how things work out. There is one problem with this though - - - playing time for all these players.

Not high on Sengun, all the ifs and question marks in his ability to stretch the court and defensive limitations has me not sold. You are going in the belief IF Sengun develops a shot, how about ask what if he doesn't??? What if Houston sign Sengun to a max and he continues to be 29% from three?? What would we do then???.turn into Sacramento 1.5, be a average team barley making the playoffs year after year?

I agree Brooks needs to go. He is a menace on defense but a liability on offense. And he is a locker room cancer because he teaches the young guys to use their mouths rather than their game to speak. Reed is the perfect fit because he plays hard every play, understands the team concept and doesn't seek the spotlight.

@@djmill8000 you can think that but senguns track record should give him the benefit of the doubt. mvp at 18, bench player first year to best player in year 3 and near allstar, not to mention he had no midrange shot but now is very efficient.

It more like Jaleb and Fred VanVleet did not play well together, not Jalen and Sengun. Jalen needs the ball in his hand to be his most effective.

I’ve never understood the argument against Clingan and sengun playing with each other when Alfred is a true power forward at 6:10 611 and all offense, even though his defense made an improvement last season. When Clingan is a defensive stalwart and needs to polish his offensive skill set. In actuality, they are the perfect power forward center combo and with Smith that could play either or position. Those three along with the newly acquired. Adams should keep a dominant court presence the entire 4 quarters

The only problem with alpi at the 4 and clingan at the 5 is there’s no shooting, we wouldn’t be able to stretch the floor and we are already a poor shooting team, wouldn’t make sense to me

    • @Stewpiddddd
      @Stewpiddddd หลายเดือนก่อน +1

alpi is way to big, slow and poor defensively to play the 4, hes most definitely a 5

Udoka was benching both Sengun and Jalen in 4th quarters this past season because they are liabilities on defense.
It’s very rare that a good coach takes over a losing team and the roster stays the same.

Sengun is not a building block as you think q center who is not a defensive player and dont have a outside shooting ,hope jalen green trade to cluppers or heat also
