    i tried this, but the yarn went in front of every checker, like the ''bad'' side
    i'm confused about how you kept the spare yarns invisible

    • @just-your-local-plant-mom
      @just-your-local-plant-mom 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @moon404 have you tried crocheting the yarn tail into the square as you work? like worst case scenario you could always weave them in afterward but that’s A LOT of work that could be avoided if you crochet over the tail the first time. sorry if that sounds confusing haha it’s hard to explain via youtube comment😂😂 maybe look up a video on how to crochet yarn tails into your work? hope that help. best of luck!!

      When you insert the book into the loop, make sure you also grasp the piece of yarn as well so it hides it. You can see her do it more closely at around 4:07 :)

    • @brittanyalicecrochet
      @brittanyalicecrochet  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe try pulling the yarn you aren’t working with a little tighter! It also takes a bit of practice to get used to :) like the previous comment said, I show you how to weave them in more closely at 4:07 !

    Great tutorial! My best friend is a huge Kokichi Oma fan and I’m hoping to make a checkered scarf for her birthday or Christmas! It’s probably going to be the latter as her birthday is in June and it’s normal for it to get into the upper 90s where we live. (as well as some knitted scarves)

    I used the pattern to do a square for a bag but arrived at the end idk how to close the two yarns

    • @brittanyalicecrochet
      @brittanyalicecrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With the yarn that is still on your hook at the end of the project, chain 1, cut the yarn while leaving a bit of a tail, then pull that yarn through the chain 1. Then with your non-working yarn, also cut it but leave a bit of a tail. Then weave both tails in. And that's it!
