    Hi guyss, if you, like me, didn’t like to cut the yarn and make a knot every time you switch color, but you also didn’t want to do it like the tutorial… try the Russian knot! It’s not that difficult and makes the transition very smooth. There are a lot of explanations on TH-cam about how to make a Russian knot, hope that helps someone as much as it helped me ☺️

    I did mine in purple and black. I also bought a skull button and will attach it with a leash so you can close it. I’m an absolute beginner but really wanted to crochet a sleeve for my mangas. So I crocheted non stop for a week. But it was worth it. I’m very happy with the result.😊

Although the yarns that I have are a bit thinner than these and I was wondering if instead of starting with five chains and then 4 half DC's as you did, could I take maybe 9 chains to start off?

      Hello! I'm so glad you like the design! 9 chains to start off would be perfect! I would probably do 8 HDC then: 4 in one color, 4 in your other color. Then just repeat that row for as tall as your book spine is (changing colors as necessary). I hope this helps, but let me know if you have any other questions! 💖

    Hi, thanks for the pattern! I’m wondering why my column of slip stiches is crooked. What possibly am I doing wrong? Chaining one for each round as in the video 🤷🏻‍♀️.

      Hi! Hmmm, is it more crooked than mine? Mine is pretty slanted already, but I don't mind how it looks! If you want to make it less slanted, you could try doing double crochets instead of half-double crochet! And instead of 3 rows tall for each square, just do 2 rows. Hope this helps!! 💖

      As I understood it you have to slip stitch after every single row! That's what I did, and it turned out great :)

    Once you finish a round/row do you slip stitch and chain 1 to start the next layer of HDC everytime ? Bc i havent been doing that 😭

      whenever im working in rounds i usually slip stitch+ch1 and start the next one but it really depends on the pattern. idk if slip stitching and chaining 1 has an effect on the final look of the project but as long as it looks right and yk where your round starts/ends, i dont rlly think it matters imo 🤷‍♀️

      @@pineapples3235 idk for sure if doing a slst at the end of a round effects the edge (bc i didnt slst lol) but since we're working in rounds, *i think* this project will always have a slightly rounded edge even if you slip stitch and chain 1. 🙈

      @@pineapples3235 yes you can! most projects worked in rounds are meant to be flipped inside out, either while youre making it or at the end. At the end of the day its up to you and what you think looks good :)

      Personaly to keep it as a square ive made 4 row of 6 hdh for each color and then just follow the pattern that she have done

    when i am done with my squares and they have 3 rows they have 3 stitches in total. but you said that we will do 4 HCD. Either I'm wrong, or you're really wrong... help me please 😅

      mine did the same thing! might’ve been a mistake but how i fixed it is to do 2 HBC in one stitch before continuing:)

      You could chain 6 or 7 at the beginning instead of 5 and work with more stitches throughout your project (aka 5 or 6 hdc instead of 5), the rest of the pattern stays pretty much the same, you’ll just have to change colours in whichever stitch is your last etc. Hope that helps!

      That's a good question! I think the reason they are tilted is because we are using half-double crochet stitches. If you tried using double crochet instead, they might be less tilted! Not entirely sure, but hope this helps! 💖

      Hmmmm, mine turned out a little slanted too... I don't mind the slanted look, but if you want to try two rows of 4 double crochet for each square instead, they might be less slanted!

    ☆ Cut the previous color and make a slipknot, pull slipknot through the 3 loops

    ☆ Change colors, hdc around the bottom of the base layer (like working around the base)
    ☆ Hdc across the edge of the base
    ☆ Change colors at last hdc and continue
    ☆ Once you're at the end, sl st into the first hdc in the row

    ♡ Hdc across
    ♡ Change colors

    ( Repeat until the end of the 2nd round)

    ▪︎ Instead of changing colors, continue with the color you have

      Le puedes poner subtitulos, solo métete a configuración (en la esquina superior derecha del mismo video) le das en subtitulos, luego en automático, español y ya
