youtubers are always like "omg you can hear the plane in the background you can hear the construction in the background" so i have to give you props in the fl studio segment for having the only background noise I've heard on youtube that's Genuinely loud and obnoxious

Yes me and my brother actually used it to make a 1 minute anime concept trailer, as you can load images, gifs and such into it (as back then we didn’t have decent video editing software), then you can use automation clips to key frame any of the controls within it
I love how anything Rubik's cube related just comes back to commutators, like you have a random puzzle you want to solve you use COMMUTATORS you want to spend hours animating a walk cycle on a virtual cube just use COMMUTATORS anyway very funny video Tom I really enjoyed watching it

one thing i learned years and years ago was that if youre in MS pant, set colour one as the colour you want to change, black in this case, then the second colour as what you want it to be, pink here. use your eraser brush and hold right click instead of left click and drag your mouse across the piece. itll change the black ONLY no matter what other colours you have on the piece
this guy is one of the people you see that have an awful update schedule but videos that always have you unable to leave, this guy's videos when i watch them, i just cant leave its just too good
Very cool. The cube was bananas. I recall trying to get ChatGPT to create ASCII art a good while ago. The results were predictable given the technology (and similar to your results). Glad us animators aren't entirely replaceable just yet. Good to see the elliotsacoolguy shout out too.
15:03 you can also just put a dot at the start and the rest spaces, or if you wanna do it the pro way, put a "bold space" (** **) at the start, instead of a dot
small note(get it?) for the FL studio part if you do more like it, turn on "monophonic drawing" in settings -> general. this makes drawing notes more like drawing in an actual art software. I use it all the time for quickly sketching out chromatic scales and runs and whatnot before quantizing it. super useful
You’ve honestly got some fun and creative ideas man! I wanna see this channel succeed and grow so badly. You know you should reach out and do an episode with those amazing host folks from Drawfee! Their channel is pretty big and I feel like you’d not only get some more viewers through them but really get along with them too. They do some equally fun and creative drawing ideas that you’d fit in well with, and they do co-hosts and guests all the time!
I thought about animating in mspaint before, well, not mspaint cause I don't use windows anymore, but one of the linux equivalent mspaint programs, combined with a window manager that keeps all windows in a workspace fullscreen in a sequential stack that uses keyboard shortcuts to go back and forth through the stack. Then either start as many instances of the paint program as you want frames, or start, like three instances and use those for frame A, frame B, and the inbetween between them and save, reload and organize accordingly. I wouldn't have thought of doing it all in one instance of paint like you did.
10:21 Fun fact! AI *DOES NOT* understand what it's "supposed" to be doing in any context. It's been trained on what text output is most likely to occur in response to your prompt. There is no language acquisition or deeper understanding about anything, even about what basic object/word pairs like apple are. Apple is a word symbol, and also a real world object that we have paired with the symbol "Apple" in our minds. The AI only ""understands"" that there exists a symbol "Apple" and that there is a % probability that that symbol will appear next given an input prompt. Again, at present Generative AI, Large Language Models, and Machine Learning Algorithms are not learning and do not understand anything. They are not alive.
15:11 if you just italicize the spaces using underscores you can avoid using the ` thingy. the same method can be used to send a blank message and some other stuff
For ms paint if you use the eraser, I think it's the first color you want to erase. Second is the background color and hold right click to remove just that. So, like pink and white for this
One time I made an animation in sketchbook (drawing app) with each frame on a separate layer, then screenshotted each one and put them into iMovie (basic video editor) It was very time consuming, to say the least.
When I was a kid I used to make animations in Microsoft paint in a different way I drew one frame, then I copy pasted it and undo it all. Then I copy paste it back Then i use the delete tool and delete that then I draw the second frame and undo it and the delete Then I copy paste that on it and I keep doing this for all the other frames And you press ctrl z to go back to the start and ctrl y to see the animation
Fun fact: on discord there are games, one of them being gartic phone, which one of the game modes is drawing a frame, then someone else has to draw the next frame. So if you had enough accounts you could animate a 6fps walk cycle
When I clicked this video a glitch happened where it thought I clicked on a Minecraft channel but this video was playing. Everything else was just Minecraft.
considering that a lot of these were very choppy (understandably), maybe your next silly time consuming project should be to draw a walk cycle in 60fps. id love to see it!
Yeah, FL studio actually has a fairly decent video-maker called Z-game visualizer, which is genuenily good for making music visualizers, but probably can also be used to animate.
youtubers are always like "omg you can hear the plane in the background you can hear the construction in the background" so i have to give you props in the fl studio segment for having the only background noise I've heard on youtube that's Genuinely loud and obnoxious
"sorry if you can hear, but theres a 600 pound bomb testing in the background, lets get started" (maybe 1 quiet thud in the background)
“Sorry if this disrupts the video, but Russia is testing more powerful nuclear weaponry, hope it isn’t too distracting!”
The video: *one tiny crackle in the background*
"Sorry if it's a little loud during this part, the volcano that my manor is built atop is currently erupting"
(Quiet rumbling audible for two seconds)
"sorry guys if you can't hear me, 20 sonic booms are currently happening rn"
tiny little squeak is heard for like half a second
"please, i apologize. there is a black hole sucking up my house in the background i hope it doesnt dist-"
The Rubik's cube one was definitely the most interesting
Yes, very Interesting
probably took the longest
Yeah like how did pro use a Rubik’s cube to make an animatio
I know you are most likely to be a cuber
It more interesting in the context of what he is doing, but very useful learning how to do algorithms you could visualize what it looks like to do them instead of using the written algorithm
i’ve never seen a video hit so many of my interests at the same time 🤯
Holy shit it's LeGrand??
Didn't expect you to be here.
dang your here legrand???
havent seen you in a while
Fun fact: you can also probably animate a walking cycle using FL Studio's built in visualizer editor
Also you could make it play the animation in the pattern by turning on the scrolling and making it not continuous.
Yes me and my brother actually used it to make a 1 minute anime concept trailer, as you can load images, gifs and such into it (as back then we didn’t have decent video editing software), then you can use automation clips to key frame any of the controls within it
z game visualizer supremacy
nice

This was almost hard to watch. I’d have lost my mind doing the Rubik’s cube one. 10/10.
0:25 i feel as if by watching this I've completed the holy trinity of doing things in programs where they aren't meant to be done
As a cuber, I couldn't even make a walking animation on that bro
Same lol
Ya me too

At least he uploads fairly often 😂 not months of a gap between posts

That rocket ship laptop fan is screaming "MSI Laptop" so hard.
The Rubik's cube animation gave me inspiration for my own creations. great work!. (:
Underrated channel. Cool beard man draws and it’s cool.

also I'm pretty sure if you zoomed in in FL Studio it would follow the playhead through your animation. But this is an old video. Anyway!!!
7:14 that was the most beautiful music I've ever heard in my life
7:17 I started bopping my head as soon as you did 😂😂😂
I stayed up late for this video and I have no regrets

I only have NPC responses, but love your creative ideas! Been cool af seeing all you've done recently 😁
aw thanks
Reminds me of the time I switched my animation program every few days 💀

Such an interesting concept to explore, great video
Chat GPTs animation was my favorite animation
Me too, made me laugh 😂
I'm happy to see your channel growing. Not long ago I had more subscribers
"Lets not put white in check"
white: in check for most of the frames
The marshmallow man could honestly become a mascot

Alright, the rubix cube broke my brain... Like they always do
Ms paint walk cycle lookin like something out of dr. Seuss
My 50 year old animation teacher wishes she was you
1:36 thats never happened before how did that get messed up-
Animating in FL Studio, Discord, and chatGTP made me shocked at the title
remember that after i started using an actual animation program, I used to animate in Geomatry Dash (it was difficult, but you should try it out!)
The Rubics cube was working quite well 😄
When I was a kid I used to make animations in Microsoft paint in a different way

don't worry i'm sure the chess animation has a good personality
Ok i barely got into the video and i can already tell it would be way more easy in win11 paint cuz that actually has layers
damn that's kinda OP
That's good.

its not the program that matters its YOU
very unique idea good job!
what sucks about that rubik's cube animation is that it's better than anything i could've ever draw
Fun fact: The disastrous life of Saiki K (apparently, info from an article I've read during season 2) was animated in MS Pain
YOU COOKED
you could actually have an "onion skin" in FL by enabling ghost notes in the piano roll
The bishop put the king in check
Now animate bad apple in all of them
Discord has 2 drawing activitys and a remix thing where you can draw in
MS paint was updated as some point to have layers,so that would made Onion skin easyer
7:22 is bro slapping his butt
For the chess one you could have used white pieces for the back limbs or something.
The more detailed person you ask for in chatgpt the more it looks like a big pencil
