People look at me strange when I mention I don't have tv. Other christians ask me why I'm always talking about the word. It's almost a jealousy thing. The Lord has become my priority and He has blessed me with insight and faith. I look at the world now with the glasses of Jesus and the word. And there is always a desire for more understanding and prayer. The last two years have been the best I've experienced (still have troubles and pain but I don't see them the same). Praise the Lord for Godly men like Derek Prince!

Mishy, I have been reading the Bible for a very long time every night before I sleep and it does something for me..... confidence.but praying with the holy spirit before any verse helps a lot.

I fully agree. It happened to me too. Though I used to follow only Christian cable channels on the TV. But my faith was like eating fast food all the time, my spiritual muscles were flab. There was no strength in my faith. Until the complete lockdown due to the pandemic came and I was stranded away from any civilization and the only thing I had to dwell on all day long and for many months was my Bible. The pandemic and the complete lockdown was a great blessing to my life. I realized how feeble my faith was. But I also realized from where to get the real spiritual food, it was by contemplating on each word I read in the Bible. And what a wealth and treasure I found. I'm no longer the same person I used to be, just by faithfully reading the Bible. PTL indeed. His Word is live and Truth.

Yes, I agree with you. But he is using a metaphor to encourage us in our spiritual growth, so I get what he meant. Scripture tells us to grow spiritually, so we should desire as much growth as possible, and the ultimate goal is to grow up into Him who is the Head, that is Christ. We are to grow up to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. He is God, and all the fullness of the Deity dwells in Him in bodily form, so to grow up to that stature is the same as saying "of great stature spiritually". I don't see anything unscriptural about that, as long as the motive is to please the Father. Christ is a spiritual giant, and we are to be imitators of Him with an ever-increasing knowledge of God and ever-increasing love, as well as all the other virtues ever-increasing. Eph 4:13, 15-16; 1 Pet 2:2-3; 2 Pet 1:5-8; 3:18; Ps 92:12.

People that hate God are blessed with a family and I’ve put my faith and trust in God for everything including a wife because that will be the second most important decision I will make. I understand: Through 2 couple of siblings who I have cared for with homework and the like, when the parents were abscent over ca. 10 years I have now understood that I have been under witchcraft. The grandmother in that family is a witch; Holy Spirit revealed it to the oldest grand daughter. When we prayed as Derek says and broke off that witchcraft, she hasn't had any epileptic seasures since and I could suddenly see the whole picture. I have cried for 2 days now as I see that I have been stopped with children of my own etc. all these years. Witchcraft is completely criminal to its nature. I have often had a feeling of running on a railroad track: no possibility to change anything, as if everything was on tracks.

I think 3 times a day of Bible reading is good. Like we eat 3x a day, breakfast, lunch, evening meal. I tend not to read directly before bed as I’m too tired to absorb but I find about 5pm works well. This can not be done in a persons own strength though we have to keep praying for Gods help because the enemy and our flesh will try to distract us 💯🙏🏽
I’ve been having doubts about the truth of Christianity lately. These atheists are very persistent. I need prayers to accept Jesus’ resurrection as a historical fact (meaning I can take His word that the entire OT is true) and that the Gospels and Acts are reliable.
In my case I stopped watching all serials I. Television and Lord has changed me I read Bible and Pray for others and very happy though sometimes I get irritated with my daughter. Lords Peace makes me submissive. Bangalore India

Plus with covid it became the only way to socialise. As sometime WITHOUT an addictive personally (I've never struggled with it) this has caught me by surprise. The enemy has really ramped it up. I'm so glad God is good.
Giving up my tv licence and satellite box definitely marked a time of difference in my spiritual life. I spend more time on you tube and my audio bible instead. I have swapped the regular TV programmes for the large plethora of Bible teachings such as this one. When I'm bored I naturally reach for my audio bible. This would have never even occurred to me when I had over 500 channels of TV entertainment to choose from on my sky box. To God be the glory for His leadership in my life.

To become a spiritual giant, don’t focus on the do’s and do not’s but what God has already done for you. Be careful about confusing the law with the gospel so that you become too focused on your own failures and successes. All motivation to do good as a child of God comes from remembering how he made you his child in the first place: through Jesus. Focus on that, focus on who you are in Christ, focus on the fact that you will reign with him in eternity, and you’ll eventually find that TV doesn’t have as much importance as it used to.
When you first start, it is a sacrifice. As time goes you look forward to the time spent with the Bible. I went from having to MAKE myself to looking so forward to it. Don't feel over guilty or get discouraged. The enemy knew what he was doing making TV and social media so "important". To the point we think we can't do without it. Been struggling to measure up to others expectations in my mind and getting discouraged! As a believer, the life of God is in me; the power of God is in me; the righteousness of God is in me; the mind of Christ is in me; the wisdom of God is in me; the love of God is in me; the faith of God is in me; and the Spirit of God is in me!! Faith is in me in the same way a physical muscle....it takes consistency and effort to develope. Gods Word is spirit and life. Consistent attention to it will highly develope our faith.

It's not according to how much faith we have whether we are healed by God. That makes it on us, by our own effort. It then makes it the person's fault if they aren't healed. This brings a feeling of failure and condemnation.
Some situations require faith and other situations we have grace. Many things happen or don't happen according to how much faith you have. I've seen this in others and I've experienced this myself. You also need to be filled with the Holy Spirit in order for certain things to happen. Not everything is God's effort. The believer also has to put in the work. But I do understand where you're coming from. It just depends on the situation. Every scenario is different. Many times it is not the person's fault that they aren't healed. And you can put in tons of effort and still be sick. There could be a valid medical reason as to why you're not healing. But on the other hand, it sometimes is actually the person's fault. A person is able to keep themselves sick when they have the wrong mindset and wrong lifestyle. If you believe that you're a sickly person and you're never going to get better then chances are that's how it's going to be. I've seen it. Or you could be suffering with a liver condition but you refuse to quit drinking

When we read the scriptures out loud to ourselves, and the more we repeat certain scriptures, let's say Psalms 23.. if I say that out loud 10 times a day, my faith grows ,because I hear myself saying God's word out loud, faith comes by hearing, hearing the word of God, from me , saying it.. I repeat it, my faith then grows cause I'm exercising my faith by speaking what the word says!! I'm confessing the word out loud, then I receive what I've been saying!!! Got it??? ...

Focus on that, focus on who you are in Christ, focus on the fact that you will reign with him in eternity, and you’ll eventually find that TV doesn’t have as much importance as it used to.
When you first start, it is a sacrifice. As time goes you look forward to the time spent with the Bible. I went from having to MAKE myself to looking so forward to it. Don't feel over guilty or get discouraged. The enemy knew what he was doing making TV and social media so "important". To the point we think we can't do without it. But the blessings of God are so abundant. God bless you everyone.

Been struggling to measure up to others expectations in my mind and getting discouraged! As a believer, the life of God is in me; the power of God is in me; the righteousness of God is in me; the mind of Christ is in me; the wisdom of God is in me; the love of God is in me; the faith of God is in me; and the Spirit of God is in me!! Faith is in me in the same way a physical muscle....it takes consistency and effort to develope. Gods Word is spirit and life. Consistent attention to it will highly develope our faith.

It's not according to how much faith we have whether we are healed by God. That makes it on us, by our own effort. It then makes it the person's fault if they aren't healed. This brings a feeling of failure and condemnation.
Some situations require faith and other situations we have grace. Many things happen or don't happen according to how much faith you have. I've seen this in others and I've experienced this myself. You also need to be filled with the Holy Spirit in order for certain things to happen. Not everything is God's effort. The believer also has to put in the work. But I do understand where you're coming from. It just depends on the situation. Every scenario is different. Many times it is not the person's fault that they aren't healed. And you can put in tons of effort and still be sick. There could be a valid medical reason as to why you're not healing. But on the other hand, it sometimes is actually the person's fault. A person is able to keep themselves sick when they have the wrong mindset and wrong lifestyle. If you believe that you're a sickly person and you're never going to get better then chances are that's how it's going to be. I've seen it. Or you could be suffering with a liver condition but you refuse to quit drinking

Read the Bible for 20 minutes right when you wake up, and 20 minutes before you go to bed.

When we read the scriptures out loud to ourselves, and the more we repeat certain scriptures, let's say Psalms 23.. if I say that out loud 10 times a day, my faith grows ,because I hear myself saying God's word out loud, faith comes by hearing, hearing the word of God, from me , saying it.. I repeat it, my faith then grows cause I'm exercising my faith by speaking what the word says!! I'm confessing the word out loud, then I receive what I've been saying!!! Got it??? ...
