I emailed Amflow and they said they don’t ship to the US and it won’t be available in any retail stores in the US. Does anyone know if anyone in the US will be able to buy one and when?
I have one of these on order and am waiting for delivery...I have gone for the cheaper model but will be changing wheels, tyres, suspension, bar&stem! I am really interested to see what you think of how the bike rides on your 'full review' as I think that you guys always give your honest opinion rather than follow the hype!
Best review for the Amflow so far well done 😁. I agree with one of the comments about how does it compare for miles/watt hour at the same Nm/power output. This metric would be super useful for you guys to start to quote. The Nm/power output would need to be made the same, as far as possible, between the different motors, and tests would need to be done on the same trails by same rider using the same tyres for all motors, as this would unify the tests as far as possible. From what I have seen this bike is a battery drainer, which TBF is to be expected with the higher motor output. Thats why I would like to see this tested with restricted motor output, to properly compare with Bosch and Brose, to see if it can be as efficient as those motors.
Love the video love the channel. This is not a jab at the channel. But this has kind of been done before in terms of power. Nobody ever talks about it because it’s not a big sexy brand. But the Luna cycle X - one and X - two. Have been making high-powered EMTB for years now. My X one is 2000 W peak power. With 125 Newton meters. Not a single name brand E bike has been able to keep up with it. I wish that Luna cycle would get more loveagainst some of the name brands. Plus the price of power ratio from Luna cycle is incredible.
Thanks for this review. Power is nothing in control and Bosch may have had the right approach with their 5th generation and not pushed their motor. What I may expect from these long established brands is to learn from DJI on the improvement and number of sensors, the high density of the batteries with a lower weight and especially the speed of charging them
I was initially enthusiastic about this engine, but with Bosch I ride in Tour+ mode most of the time anyway and don't feel the need for more power. I'm also afraid that such high power will simply eat up the cassette and drive. We'll see in the long run - I'm waiting for the test.
They are not serious about making bikes. This is just simply to display their drive unit. I got $1000 to anybody who wants to take my bet. We will start seeing these units on other manufactures bikes. They of course will still sell a bike, but that is not their primary goal. Put this drive unit on a pivot or Yeti and I’m in.
if your making an ebike video and don't playback noise up and downhill without voiceover or music ... then whats the point of the video, its one thing that is not subjective and i can get most of the other details off the website
As an avid emtber, I would have liked to have seen a mullet option from the factory or at least listed on the build my bike on amflow, however I'll wait for the second iteration.
I think around 90NM is max for the drive trains we currently have available Manufactures need to beef up chains, cassettes, chain rings to handle the high torque that the industry is likely heading to So the solution has to be MGU!
Class 1 ebikes in North America is max 750watts. Probably why they are not selling in North America. Can't ride this at most of the trail systems around me
NGL, imho it’s hard to get excited for frames that use a basic single pivot design. It’s the 21st century and so much innovative designs can be licensed, or - developed.
I’ll wait for version 3 to come out- in 12 years I’ll be 60. Maybe a new motor, solid state battery, belt drive and transmission. For now still using my legs to get uphill. 🇨🇦
Amflow will have put the bike through all the relevant safety tests. It's rated as cat 4. The size goes up to XXL with a 525mm reach, rider height of up to 6ft 7". I'm pretty sure that there won't be a rider out there under 95kg at this height 🤔 Do they really need an Enduro build when a 150/160mm trail will do most things. Plus this is meant to be a lightweight bike with full power. Just pick your lines more carefully or buy a different bike 🙄 There is simply nothing in this category that stacks up to this. Sure they will probably offer the drive system to other bike manufacturers. Bosch, Brose and Shimano among others will be rightly concerned.
7 seconds faster on 26 seconds long ride with othe full power bike....That is just crazy faster. That means, that someone on the regular full power bike, on cca. 45 minutes uphill ride, would be cca.13-15 minutes slower....OMG. That my e-bike friends...is not aregular e-pedelec any more...that is a totally different category. And imagine this Amflow derestricted....A real motorbike?
64.5 HT and 77 ST and this is conservative geo? Most people are not riding extreme mountains. 64 degrees or less HT is floppy and not best for most mtb applications. I'm getting sick of the geo numbers talk. We will be riding e-choppers soon for mtb.
Amflow must make an enduro version of this bike
Thanx for the comment on thr stiffness/flex.
Being close to 98kg/216lbs stiffness is quite important to me and often missed/ignored in other reviews.
The industry needs to have one standard mount for the motors.
No advancement sounds great

I was sure that the initial impressions will be positive. Can't wait for the long term review.
Hoping for a Nicolai review

Is there Rail+ review comming plz?
How much time went into matching the gear color to the bike frame and color grading in post-edit? 😅 😁

The CCP will love using your data just like they got caught doing with their drones…
Makes sense, man!
Ok Sherlock 😂😂😂
I take your 1000 usd
In the meantime i will grab one. Will be two+ years until we see this in another manufacturer. It’s basically a Levo SL with grunt for now.
Motor noise comparison to the competition? Is it quiet like a TQ or loud like a Shimano E8000?
How about motor rattle when descending?

My dji drone has constant software updates/ issues..hopefully the the motor/batterys are better
Where to buy and guarantee for the long term review
Those trails look awesome. Where is that?
Class 1 ebikes in North America is max 750watts. Probably why they are not selling in North America. Can't ride this at most of the trail systems around me
Does the battery keep going flatter and flatter over time ? The drone batteries go dead flat when they sit
Excellent point.
My dji drone batteries all have serious parasitic drain.
But how much pedalling drag when pedalling above assistance speed.
Is it trail bike, or Enduro? Or in the middle?

Is there a speed restriction on this bike?
Of course

This makes all other EMTB's and especially SL versions look a bit........... meh! I'd definitely consider trading my Giant Reign in for one.
I dunno, a 37-38lb SL feels quite special on the trail (identical to a regular mtb)

There it is the unicorn 🦄 bike that is so awesome BUT, no one can buy it anywhere...Total waste of time waiting to hear when, where to get one.
What's amflow mean?😂😂😂😂

1st 🥇
Meh!
