Unless I'm mistaken, the book World of Warcraft Chronicle Volume 1 establishes that the Zandalari Trolls were the first mages on Azeroth. They were taught it by the Mogu (Titan-forged aren't completely native to Azeroth) before the Night Elves evolved.
I have not read as much into Chronicles as I would have liked to (ah, the life of an English student who has to read a million novels in 4 months), so I'll take a look and see if I can find that.
I imagine that while Mages are certainly knowledgeable, there are some that aren't particularly wise.
Book smarts don't equate to street smarts!
You'd be correct, in my opinion. When you invest yourself fully in years of arcanic studies, your brain simply isn't getting the exercise in other categories! Such as, things that a common street rat thinks is normal to know, social queues, etc.
Really nice video! If any suggestions perhaps you can try to make lore videos about certain magics, such as void, arcane and so on and so forth. Telling where they came from, how they effected Azerothian history and how they can be used and was utilized in the past ^^ That could help a new rper to get to know not only the concept of their class yet also the concept of power they use and what they can do xP
How does one join the Kirin Tor?And can a Void Elf join them?My roleplay character is a Void Elf who longed to be a member when she was a Blood Elf and she studied and practiced so much but then she fell to the Void.She still studies and practices her magic but worries that they won't accept her into their ranks

Dusty Colbert Dwarves on occasion do love their knowledge, and the Arcane is the force of the Makers, so what better than titanic magic to learn?
Do you think you could do a video on the class/race combination on orc mages? I've seen people openly hostile on the idea and there isn't much lore i can find on it. I always wanted to try though.

The most difficult race to RP convincingly has got to be Blood Elves, imo. Sure, everyone can act like they're better than everyone else, but very few have the political savvy and subtle nature to do it real justice.

Oh, that's a hard one. Honestly, I don't think I could pick- everyone's lore is sooo intricate.
Well with the new expantion we se Star Augur Etraeus as a raid boss, so is it aceptable as a mage, or a druid im the hord or alianse to rp as a starmancer?

How comes that you as a Night Elf are netrual with the Silver Covenant. I tought the Alliance are friendly with them.
I think that's just a gameplay mechanic. The Alliance are friendly with the Silver Covenant, but they're just a faction in game.
Why are you beginning the video with the most contradictory race and class combo in game

Sadly, I do not know the first thing about making gold. I don't play the AH at all- the most I do is roll through old raids for transmog/ mounts/ legendaries.

They've always known magic, just like they've always known shamanism. The Pandaren have been around as long as the Trolls and Night Elves have been, living in the very far south of Kalimdor prior to the Sundering. Its likely they learned the arcane from the Highborne. I have done a Pandaren Shaman video, as well!

I don't like what they did with Alodi in the movie.
I liked that they had Alodi. I don't like they they never bothered to tell anyone why Alodi was so important.
Inquisitor Aura Exactly. In general i was expecting more character development to be honest.
It would of been better if Alodi was a male half-elf in the movie. In the movie, he/she may have been a half-elf, but it wasn't very obvious.

It's not random at all. Remember their culture forsook arcane magic after a lot of destruction was caused by its overuse. It actually makes a lot a sense.
