Being a fan of the Shu forces in Dynasty Warriors… there was something so satisfying about Liu Bei staring down Lu Bu and not giving a damn about Lu Bu’s attempt to murder him. The fact that he calmly stands there glaring at Lu Bu like: ‘For all your strength, you ain’t worth a damn any more’ was just amazing.
I was surprised how they portrayed Lubu as absolute beast in this game. In the actual story in the battle of Hu Lao gate, Zhang Fei was able to hold him off alone for some time being. When Liu Bei and Guan Yu joined the fight, Lubu couldn't handle them and basically had to run away. Its pretty cool tho. I guess its the dynasty warrior franchise thing.

That’s because they do team up. You fight along side Zhang Fe, Guan Yu, Xiahou Dun and Guo Jia. Any time you HAVE to fight Lu bu you’re always accompanied by several characters
Just finished beating him and what pisses me off the most is all the people that "helped" beat him got railed and i 1v1 him. Yet im not even apart of the cut scene F you Devs alot of us got knocked around good for this victory and i dont even get to be apart of a cool damn cut scene. SUCK IT!
Why even bother make an OC if the OC doesnt even do anything in this scenes? Might as well just make all character playable like the old game because weapon doesnt mean much regardless who the user is.
Yer one of the reasons I’m hesitant to pick it up, I liked how you could play as different warriors and how they had different fight styles. having a preset somewhat generic character who has the personality of a wooden plank from what I’ve seen is kinda lame.
@@skullduggery1385you can still choose a companion for battles and switch to them several times throughout to play as then for a time. Personally, I don’t mind the protag since it still gives the same feeling of being a powerhouse while also allowing all the other characters to do their thing and have their moments at the same time. Maybe that’s just me though

He was there druing death of zhang jiao, he defended the bridge with Zhang Fei, he was the reason Diao Chan is alive and with Lu Bu. The OC gets to be badass but other characters gets to shine too in some scenes like this one.
The OC has his own story and he is involved in many scenes, and I think they did the right and respectful choice by not making him steal the spotlight here like one shotting Lu Bu or anything like that.
But any of them is better than Jin tho, which is historically the single worst era in the entire Chinese history. Thus why the Sima clan has such bad reputation.
You can parry and dodge attacks, the officers are more of a threat now. And combat is more dynamic...sure youre still a one man army but its not as mindless.
